Shankar’s ‘I’ Ready For Year Ending Bash

Though music lovers are waiting to hear this fantastic music scored by India’s Oscar winner AR Rahman, nothing is heard from a couple of months. We are talking about upcoming magnum opus “I”, an S Shankar creation that is schedule for a Pongal release. 
Already Tamil version music of “I” was launched months back by Hollywood actor and politician Arnold Schwarznegger. Though Telugu version music was supposed to be launched by either Jackie Chan or Slyvester Stalone long back, somehow that didn’t materialized. Now that the film’s final copy is ready for a release, Shankar has decided to kick-start grand promotions for Telugu states too. 
As there are chances for the movie to hit screens on Jan 9th or 14th, audio will be now released on December 30th, paving way for first step of promotions. We have to see if any Hollywood guests will grace the event or not.

Manoj breathes fire, Navdeep follows

Condemning the barbaric attack on comedian Venu in the name of insulting a particular caste, Manchu Manoj has breathed fire. Taking the issue to social networks, he vented fumes on the attackers as he stressed that we all are humans first, caste and religion comes later. 
“So cheap and inhuman to hit actor Venu. Cowards”, says Manoj, adding that he would have handled the attackers if he was at Film Chamber then. On Sunday, couple of leaders from Goud community have attacked comedian Venu for a skit he has done on Jabardasth comedy show. 
They alleged that Venu’s satires irked the self-respect of women of Goud community. Another hero, Navdeep visited Venu at Apollo hospital and extended his support for the comedian. “What happened to Venu is not a sensible way to deal with any issue. I strongly condemn it. 
He didn’t deserve the pain”, said Navdeep, feeling sad about the incident.

Naidu Announces Rs 280 crs Sankranti Gifts

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu presented sankranthi gifts to the people of the state. Announcing in the assembly he said he is announcing this gifts to see happiness in the eyes on all poor and needy. 
He said his Govt will distribute essential commodities to poor during Sankranthi. AP Government according to Chandra Babu will give 1/2 kg Toor Dal, 1/2 kg Jaggery, 1/2 kg palm oil, wheat flour etc. The announcement of new boon for poor will burden the Government with Rs 280 crs and 1.20 crores white card holders will benefit from the scheme. 
Earlier Assembly paid tributes to Congress senior leader G.Venkataswamy who passed away today.

Mega Star had TB?

Bollywood legend, Megastar and Big B Amitabh Bachchan admittedly said that he had conquered dreadful disease tuberculosis(TB).The B town Megastar revealed that he had been diagnosed with TB ahead of the launch of television game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ in 2000 but fought back. 
Amitabh said that TB is a leveller and can affect any person regardless of the social and economic status. Bachchan was recently roped in as brand ambassador by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for its campaign against the ailment.
He was participated at the launch of BMC’s awareness campaign: “TB Harega Bharat Jitega” in Mumbai. “I was diagnosed with tuberculosis when Kaun Banega Crorepati was to be launched in year 2000. 
TB can happen to anyone. The ailment can be treated, one does not need to stop daily routine. I worked on KBC without any problem” Said Amitab speaking at the event. He said he was under treatment for a year and was completely cured. He added that every year over 3 lakh people die of TB and that it is duty of everyone to talk about it and spread its sit and prevent them from spreading.

Her item song with Mahesh Babu in ‘Aagadu’ was a big hit and she will be appearing in another item number in Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Tevar’, a remake of Mahesh’s ‘Okkadu’. Speaking about the song, Shruti said “Don’t call it an item number. 
It’s just a special song in the film. Bollywood people are very open-minded with such special numbers”. Well, when she doesn’t have any problem to appear in a special/item number, Shruti Haasan definitely shouldn’t have any problems with the tags too. What say folks?

I’d love to do ‘PK’ sequel: Aamir Khan

Actor Aamir Khan is not sure if a part two of his latest release “PK” will be made or not, but he says he’d love to be a part of it. Asked if a sequel to “PK” is underway, he said: “Let’s see. You all have to ask Raju Hirani (director Rajkumar Hirani) if he is interested in making a sequel. If they make it, it’s good. I would like to do it.” 
The film’s climax has actor Ranbir Kapoor along with Aamir, and several people have conjectured that it’s a hint for a sequel. Talking about it, Aamir said: “May be, Rajkumar Hirani is thinking of getting both Ranbir and me in the sequel.” “PK”, which features Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma and Sanjay Dutt, has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
The actor is happy with the response and says the movie leaves the audience with a message that humanity is the biggest thing. “The message of this film is that the biggest thing is humanity. That’s the biggest message of this film…that we all are equal. There is no difference between Hindus and Muslims….that trust and faith is the important aspect of our life. This is the main message,” he said.

Botsa’s Grand Entry Into BJP?

The stage seems to be set for senior Congress leader and ex-minister Botsa Satyanarayana to join BJP. While the news has been doing rounds for quite some time now, few stories doing rounds in political circles presently are rather interesting. Recently, when senior BJP leader Somu Veerraju was in Vijayanagaram, he made a statement where in he categorically mentioned that his party did not have any problem with ex-Congress leaders joining BJP. 
When he was specifically asked if the party would welcome Botsa, Verraju gave a positive response. Taking this as a cue, it is now being said that Botsa is all set to join the party with his set of people. Talk in political circles is that Botsa is likely to hold a public meeting with 1 lakh people and announce his entry into BJP. 
Meanwhile, there is also talk that TDP is trying hard to stop Botsa from joining BJP. To stop the same, the ruling TDP government has also ordered an enquiry into the cooperative loans scam. On the other hand, it is being said that BJP national president Amit Shah is quite keen on Botsa joining the Saffron party. The party’s main objective is to attract the members of Kapu community into its fold, it is being said.

KCR Tributes to PV on death Anniversary

Tributes were paid Tuesday to former prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao on his 10th death anniversary. Telagana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao paid floral tributes at PV Ghat on Necklace Road, abutting the Hussain Sagar lake here. 
Telangana ministers and family members of the late prime minister were present. An all-faith prayer meeting was held on the occasion. This is the first time an official programme was organised on his death anniversary. 
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi government had celebrated Narasimha Rao’s birth anniversary June 28. Hailing from Karimnagar district of Telangana, Narasimha Rao served as the prime minister in 1991-96. He was the only Telugu and the first south Indian to occupy the top post.

Will YVS Chowdary use his last Chance?

Director cum Producer YVS Chowdary is in neck deep troubles. His last two films – Okka Magadu and Saleem have been bigger than any biggest disasters and his most recent film, Rey is struggling to release from about four years. Sai Dharam Tej who was supposed to make his debut with this film completed and released his second film, Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham during this time. Rey is entangled in several legal issues and YVS Chowdary who produced the film himself overshot the budget and it became a whopping 34 Crore which can never be recovered. 
YVS recently sold some of his properties to come out of this mess and release the film but still could not do it. However Sai Dharam Tej has got good name as an actor with Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham and also the film had done well at the box office. YVS Chowdary is trying to market Rey with Sai Dharam Tej’s good will. He already sold the Uttarandhra rights of the movie to Bharat Pictures and is now planning to release the film by January 30th. 
Trade Experts say this may be the last chance for YVS Chowdary to release the film otherwise it will be permanently lying in cans. YVS Chowdhary shot the film with huge budget in USA and other foreign locations. The film is set in the backdrop of USA and West Indies.Saiyami Kher and Shradda Das are the heroines. Chakri has composed the music while Ram has lent his voice for the voice-over in the film.

If Not Lion, they want ‘NBK Lion’

Natasimha Balakrishna is currently busy shooting for debutante Satava Deva’s film. Even as he is romancing hot beauties Trisha and Radhika Apte, rumors flowed about the film’s title. At first Warrior came and then Lion. When fans heard about Lion, many are thrilled. Even Balakrishna loved the title and filmmakers planned to finalise the title. 
However everyone is disappointed as they came to know that the title is owned by another filmmaker. When filmmakers tried to settle for Warrior, Balakrishna fans opposed saying they want the film to be titled as NBK Lion. It has to be seen whether the filmmakers or Balakrishna delight fans. 
Film stars Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Ali, Geeta and Chandra Mohan are playing important roles. Ramanarao is producing the film on SLV Cinema banner. Rudrapati Premalatha is presenting the film.

‘Mahesh Babu Sent Me Message’

Arjun Kapoor, who is reprising the role of Mahesh Babu in the Tevar, Hindi remake of Okkadu, has revealed his brief interaction with the Telugu Superstar. ‘I haven’t watched any of Mahesh’s films until the proposal to do Okkadu remake knocked on me four years ago. I’ve watched the film and was so excited.’ 
‘Although I couldn’t meet him personally, I’ve spoken to him over phone and he was very cool and friendly. He had conveyed good wishes to me and told me that it was good choice to remake Okkadu. I’ve shared the first posters of film with him and he has recently seen the trailer and sent me a text message. He liked the trailer,’ shared Arjun.
Arjun added that he is hoping that Mahesh would watch his film. Talking about plans to do straight Telugu or Tamil films, Arjun bluntly says, ‘There are many big heroes down the South. Be it in Telugu or Tamil, there are superstars and who would want to make a movie with me? If at all, anyone wants to do, I’m open to do.’ 
Arjun Kapoor also said that he wanted to wield the megaphone and even wants to produce films but ended up as an actor. Keeping cards close to his chest, the son of Boney Kapoor seems to have his options open to foray into production sooner or later.
