‘I’ Giving Shocks For Telugu Distributors

Share
All these days, it is unsure if Shankar’s ‘I’ will release for Pongal or not. Because the film’s Visual Effects work hasn’t completed on time and the movie missed many big dates earlier. But with the arrival of Tamil version theatrical trailer, which also got stamped with the tag Pongal release, expectations and hype doubled about this Vikram, Amy Jackson starrer.
Until this trailer is released, distributors haven’t even thought of shelling huge bucks for the theatrical release rights of Telugu version. But after the trailer’s release, as expectations doubled, many distributors are competing with each other for Telugu distribution rights. Cashing on the craze, producer Aascar Ravichandran hasn’t sold out the movie to one single distributor, rather he is selling each individual area to individual distributor.
Already business of Guntur (3.6 Crores), Vizag (4 Cr), East Godavari (3 Cr), Krishna (2.25 Cr) districts got closed down to indicated figures. All these developments are truly shocking distributors, as they never felt that they will invest a bomb as if in the case of a star Telugu hero for Shankar’s ‘I’ too.

Yes! The Special CBI court fired the YSRCP Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy for not attending in person to the Court even if he is available in Hyderabad. The court has turned down all requests of Jagan not attending the court sessions. Whenever the Court informs him to attend, he would specify one or the other reason to skip attending the case proceedings.
Today the bench was fed up with all the reasons Jagan gave even if he was available in Hyderabad. The Court is taking the charge-sheet of Indu Housing Scam and so made is compulsory all the accused to be present during the proceedings. Knowing about the issue, Jagan hurried to the Court leaving the Assembly sessions.
So, what do you think? Did Jagan take too much advantage of political issues and campaigns for not attending the Assembly sessions? Now, what do you think the Court will declare about the scam?

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming flick is paddling rough weather when it comes to its title. After thinking about so many titles, the makers of this flick zeroed on ‘Lion’, but it seems like the issue with a Telangana producer regarding the title isn’t going to get solved in any day.
As debutant director Satyadeva is gearing up to release the teaser of the movie on December 31st, we hear that Balayya has brought a new titled on board. ‘Warrior’ is the alternative suggested by Balayya in place of ‘Lion’. Being a politician, a respected MLA from Hindupur, the Nandamuri scion doesn’t want any tiff with any producer regarding a title.
Rather fighting in a sheepish way to own just a title, he has now decided to pick alternative and proceed. Of course, Warrior is also as powerful as Lion. To finish off, whether Balayya names his film lion or not, he is a lion at box office for sure.

TDP Makes Personal Attacks On Jagan

Share
Telugu Desam Party legislators chose to make personal attacks on YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in a bid to cover up the government’s failure in handling the Hudhud cyclone. Countering the criticism leveled by Jagan on the government’s inept handling of the cyclone relief works, Minister K Acchan Naidu went hammer and tongs at the former and began targeting him on a personal scale.
He provoked the YSRCP members by leveling personal and serious charges against the party’s chief by citing the pending disproportionate assets case against him. He said it was shameful that a person against whom 11 charge sheets were pending in the court was sitting in the august House. “I bow my head in shame for being in the same Assembly which has a scamster as the leader of Opposition,” Acchan Naidu said.
This triggered off loud protests from the YSRC members and soon the House was thrown into a pell-mell. Both the TDP and YSRCP members traded charges and at times indulged in personal remarks. The YRSCP members stormed into the well of the House and demanded that Minister Acchan Naidu should tender an apology for his uncalled for and provocative remarks against their leader.
The TDP members countered the YSRCP members by repeating the charges against Jagan. And this led to a virtual fisticuffs between the two sides. Senior leaders intervened and prevented the situation from taking an ugly turn. The Deputy Speaker in a bid to soothe the ruffled feelings of the members adjourned the House for a brief period.

According to unit sources, 18 more days shooting is left for Jr NTR-starrer Temper. Although the movie was expected to release on the eve of Sankranthi, it has been pushed to an indefinite date. With the accidental passing away of NTR’s brother Janakiram in a road accident, the movie shooting has been delayed resulting huge revenue loss for the producer Bandla Ganesh as it’s missing the festive time.
The movie marks the teaming up of director Puri Jagannadh and actor Jr NTR after decade long gap. With their maiden venture Andhrawala bombed at Box Office, both stayed away for 10 years and now joining their forces again.
NTR will be seen as a cop and his lucky mascot Baadshah girl Kajal Aggarwal plays his love-interest in the film. Once the shooting is done, Puri and his team would wrap up the post-production works only after which a clarity on film’s release date would emerge.

Vishnu Gets Bail, Relief

Share
In a big relief to former Congress MLA P Vishnuvardhan Reddy, the Rangareddy District Court on Friday granted him anticipatory bail in connection with a case pertaining to the alleged assault on Alampur MLA Challa Vamsi Chand Reddy. Vishnu has been underground for the past two days as the police were preparing ground for his arrest.
His lawyer put up a strong case before the court for bail. He argued that it was Vamsi who had provoked Vishnu by using foul language at the wedding last week. “Vishnu has no criminal record of past. It all happened in a fit of emotion,” the lawyer argued. The prosecution, however, said Vishnu had deliberately assaulted Vamsi and had even manhandled the police security of the MLA, thereby preventing them from discharging their duties.
However, the court agreed with Vishnu and granted him anticipatory bail. Both the Congress leaders lodged complaints against each other at Madhapur police station. The video footage, however, showed Vishnuvardhan slapping Vamsichand Reddy and attacking his gunmen for trying to stop him.

Food Packets Thrown At Hudhud Victims!

Share
YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday took the Chandrababu Naidu government to task for its inhuman treatment of Hudhud cyclone victims recently. Participating in the discussion on the subject in the State Assembly, Jaganmohan Reddy lashed out at the shabby treatment meted out to the cyclone victims.
He alleged that in the name of providing relief to the victims, the TDP volunteers had hurled the food packets on the faces of the starving flood victims.
“Is this the way the suffering people should be treated? If somebody throws food packets at the MLAs and ministers of the ruling party, do they accept them? The government should have provided relief to the victims at their doorsteps,” he said and quipped that the civil society would hang its head in shame at such happenings.
