Rakul Continues To Be Chased

Share
The craze for Rakul Preet Singh is growing by the day. Though Yamaleela 2 had lots of publicity, it is being said that Rough managed to get good openings only due to Rakul. It is said that the youth simply went mad about her cute and hot looks in Current Teega.
Also, there are rumours doing rounds that Pawan Kalyan has hinted that he wanted Rakul to play second lead in his film. Right now, Rakul has Ram’s Pandagachesko and Ravi Teja’s Kick 2. She also has a Bollywood film in her kitty.
Naturally, she is a hot favourite in the industry, which chases anything and everything that is ‘lucky’. The latest talk is that two young heroes have suggested Rakul’s name to their producers. Well, we are not surprised, as the industry has a serious dearth of good and hot-looking heroines.

This Director Should Stop Torturing Audience

Share
He is undoubtedly the best dancer of our country. However, he is becoming famous these days for his terrible and mindless films at the box-office. We are referring to none other than Dancing Dynamite Prabhudeva. This ‘Premikudu’ made his directorial debut with ‘Nuvvsthanante Nenoddantana’ which was critically acclaimed and also a super hit film at the box-office.
He directed ‘Pokkiri’ in Tamil with Vijay and the film became biggest hit of that year. But Prabhudeva started to make terrible films in Bollywood. R Rajkumar and Action Jackson are the best examples for his mediocre direction skills. Critics have been bashing Prabhudeva right from Rowdy Rathore, but the producers didn’t bother as they were making money.
But, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Action Jackson’ started on a very dull note and the film in unlikely to cross the collections of R Rajkumar too. People down the South are really worried about Prabhudeva as they don’t want to see their favourite dancer damaging his own image by making such poor films in Bollywood.

Miss India’s ‘Sexy’ Debut Goes Waste

Share
If a girl wins Miss India or makes it big till the final round, then surely her next big destination is none other than sizzling in films as lead. There are likes of Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra who became super starlet after their stint at the beauty pageant and there are hotties like Neha Dhupia and Sarah Jane Dais, who have fallen flat on their face without making it huge in Bollywood.
Latest entrant into movies from the beautiful Miss India brigade is hot girl Manasvi Mamgai. This 27 year old siren won the title in 2010 and since then she is a big name in modeling and fashion circuits. She made her silver screen debut in Prabhudeva’s latest movie ‘Action Jackson’ featuring Ajay Devga in the lead role.
Manasvi played a negative role, and presented herself in skimpy look as she likes to wear either bras, bikinis or nothing in the movie all the time. As the flick has bitten dust on day one itself, all her sizzling acts got wasted. Good luck next time!

Tollywood’s Foreign Item Girl Is Pregnant

Share
We have a horde of foreign item-girls like Gabriel Bertante (Devudu Chesina Manushulu), Scarlett Wilson (Cameraman gangatho Rambabu), Nicole Amy Madell (Heart Attack) and Nora Fatehi (Temper) sizzling in Telugu movies. Not to forget, gorgeous Maryam Jakaria who has rocked in 100% Love’s Diyyalo Diyyalo song is another sparkler.
Also she grabbed eyeballs in Dammu and Anjaan’s item numbers too. This hot lady is now pregnant, yes, she is. Probably at a time when career is in active green-light mode in film industry, our hotties never bore children though married. But our Swedish-Iranian beauty feels that marriage and children are personal things and no way are they linked to work.
Maryam is 29 weeks pregnant now and will deliver her child in February 2015 probably. In 2012, she married Bollywood choreographer Arvind Thakur in a beachside wedding in Goa. A picture from her babyshower event speaks it all and seen by her side is another item-queen Scarlet Wilson.

Ali Forgives Woman who Duped him for Rs 90 Lakh

Actor Ali, who is well-known for his kind gesture, yet again proved that his heart is in right place. He has forgiven a woman who allegedly cheated him for whopping Rs 90 Lakh. Going into details, Ali had bought a house in Sri Nagar colony, Hyderabad in 1998 from couple Sambasiva Rao and Sakuntala. Ali came to knew that the couple owe Rs 90 Lakh from Bank of Baroda on the house only after he bought the house.
Shocked with this, Ali had lodged a cheating case against the couple in 2006 in Banjara Hills police station. Currently the case is in its final stage in the Fourth Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge at Nampally. On the eve of recently held Lok Adalat, justice SS Sridevi has informed Ali about the condition of old woman Sakuntala and her “pathetic” condition.
Moved with her condition, Ali came forward to withdraw the case he had filed against her. Usually in Lok Adalats, both the parties in contention resolve the case amicably by settling the deals financially outside court. Contrary to this, Ali agreed to withdrew the case without taking any money. With this Ali once again proved his big heart.

Why Naidu Absent for Janakiram’s Last Rites?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has once again proved his commitment and dedication for work. Although Babu is grieving the death of his nephew Nandamuri Janakiram who passed away on Saturday in a fatal car accident, Babu made sure he attend Prime Minister’s first-ever meeting with the Chief Ministers of all states at his residence on Sunday. The meeting also witnessed Naidu’s counterpart Telangana CM KCR.
Considering that it’s very significant meeting, Chandrababu didn’t want to give it a miss. Especially the new state of Andhra Pradesh is mired in neck-deep financial woes and recent cyclonic storm Hudhud caused over Rs 70,000 crore additional loss, Babu is trying his best to put pressure on PM Modi for the special status of AP and a financial package from Centre.
On other hand, Naidu perfectly balancing his personal and professional commitments. He had rushed to the house of brother-in-law Nandamuri Harikrishna along with wife Bhuvaneswari and son Nara Lokesh on Saturday night, expressed his condolences and consoled the bereaved family. While the final rites of Janakiram held on Sunday, Naidu headed to PM’s meeting with CMs whereas Bhuvaneswari and Lokesh filled the gap.

While Chief Ministers of West Bengal and Jammu Kashmir Mamta Banerjee and Omar Abdullah respectively chose to skip the meeting considering their rough weather with Modi, the presence of CMs of new states AP and Telangana Chandrababu Naidu and KCR garnered attention at the do.
The meeting was held at Modi’s residence where Modi and CMs have posed for a group photo after the meeting. While KCR grabbed a position in the front row, next to PM Modi, Chandrababu confined to position in the second row.
However, TDP leaders claimed that Naidu is always ahead in maintaining relation with Modi and Centre. Meanwhile, KCR and Chandrababu welcomed Modi’s decision to constitute Chief Ministers’ Council and restructuring of Planning Commission which lost its sheen in UPA regime.

The End Movie Review – 2.5/5

Movie :The End
Rating :2.5/5
Cast: Yuva Chandraa, Sudheer Reddy, Pavani Reddy, Gazal Somaiah
Directed by: Rahul Sankrityan
Produced by: Koteswara Rao
Banner: Friday Films
Music by: Hari and Vamsi
Release Date: 2014-12-05
It’s not every Friday that a Telugu movie-goer get to watch a film like “The End”. Helmed by an award-winning short filmmaker Rahul, the film’s trailer succeeded in creating curiosity over the film. And yes, the movie lived up to its expectations. It’s a breath of fresh air amidst a bunch of waste films churned out this week and turned out to be winner.
Story :
The End revolves around two couples Priya (Pavani Reddy), Rajeev Mathews (Sudheer Reddy) and Gautham (Yuva Chandra), Rekha (Gazal Somaiah). While Priya and Rajeev are happily married and staying in their own villa in the outskirts of Hyderabad, Gautham, who happens to be common-friend of Priya and Rajeev, is a UK-return medical graduate planning to set up his own hospital.
Meanwhile, few untoward incidents took place in Priya-Rajeev’s villa. A female construction worker accidentally dies in a water-less pool in the villa. The story here takes a major u-turn as turbulence surfaces in Priya and Rajeev’s personal life and marital life. That changes the life of Rajeev, Priya and Gautham forever.
Performances:
Director Rahul recruited reasonably good cast who genuinely performed well. Especially Pavani Reddy’s acting as a ghost stands out in the film despite very short screen presence. Side-kicks like Venu (Watchman) tickles few funny bones with his “Baahubali” comedy.
Technicalities:
It’s a director’s film all the way. Right from its beginning to the end, director’s mark is visibly seen throughout the film. As the movie has no crowd-pulling element, the director totally relied on the story and screenplay. The editing could have been tighter. Background score is up to the mark and cinematography is passable.
Analysis:
Kudos to first-timer director Rahul who carefully crafted the film making sure all logics are in place and there are no loose ends. He roped in good cast who played their parts well. Good story-line, a well-written screenplay, nice background score have worked in favour of the film. Among the cast, Pavani Reddy comes out flying colours despite her brief presence as the whole story revolves around her.
However, what the debutante director can’t avoid is the lagging in narrative. The director eats chunk of audience time and the real story begins only after a while. While the first-half of the film appears to have lengthy, it’s the second half that stands the film as a winner amidst several other releases. Especially, the final twist in the climax makes the film a spell-binding, engaging.
Although the makers claim it as a horror, The End is neither creepy nor horrific. It’s rather a crime thriller. Still, it makes for a good watch. It is an honest attempt by newcomers. Hope The End will be the beginning of “meaningful” films and the End of “logic-less” films in Telugu Film Industry.
Thumbs up:
Climax
Screenplay
Twists
Thumbs down:
Film’s pace
Nothing scary
Bottom line: End makes for a Good watch
