Tollywood Strike – What’s Happening?

Share
A lot has been happening around the strike that is crippling the Tollywood circuit right now but here is a roundup that will help you understand the situation better. At one point, the Cinema business was disorganized and insecurities were high. Those who were feeling insecure formed a union and it eventually branched out to directors association, producers association with the intent of being together for all activities.
Later on, the 24 crafts formed their own association including the cine drivers. The likes of fighters, writers, choreographers, dubbing artists etc formed an association and each entity has got its own registration fees. By taking memberships, the office bearers assured that their rights will be protected. The members were told stuff like ‘You will get sops such as lands if you become members’.
When there is an issue the unions come together and a communist outlook has been formed. The supreme body is Film Chamber and final decisions are made there. Every union has office bearers. Now, the burning issue is the demand from the unions that anyone who is doing a film should take only union members and not outsiders. But the producers who think in a more capitalist manner have been silent about the demand and left the decision to film chamber.
Ultimately, film chamber has given decision in favor of producers that they can get anyone from anywhere. This has not gone well with the unions and the strike has been called. The way it is happening, everything looks quite a deadlock situation but let us wish this gets resolved soon and all get back to work.

Why Mumaith Danced In Front Of Chandrababu?

Share
This is not meant to be a question, but our media folks have quipped about the ‘planning’ made by organizers of “Memu Saitham”. One of the journos has asked in a satirical tone as to how come hot item lady Mumaith Khan’s dance medley was organaized at a time when AP CM Chandrababu’s esteemed presence was there at the event.
Exactly when Naidu took his seat, Mumaith’s dance show has started, giving little embarrassment for the CM to gaze on to the dais. Clarifying about this, film producer-director Tammareddy Bharadwaja stated that the program went as per the schedule chalked out many days earlier. “AP CM Naidu was to come an hour early and he got delayed.
By the time he has arrived, Mumaith’s dance show is coming up as planned”, said Tammareddy. Probably our journalist should have understood this himself before putting up such a silly question, though in a silly tone. Of late, every happening is become funny for media houses and that sarcasm results in these questions.

What Is Renu Desai Going To Talk?

Share
After a long hiatus, probably after a decade, Renu Desai now wants to give a personal interview. And guess what is the questionnaire and to which TV Channel she wants to open her heart. Renu wants to take it on internet straight as she will be uploading an interview of her on her YouTube channel tomorrow, December 4th, on the eve of her birthday.
“I’m giving a very special and personal interview for my birthday. Will speak about myself for the first time”, said Renu, in a statement. One question that lingers our mind with the former wife of Pawan Kalyan announcing her interview thing is, why did she wanted to talk something personal now? These days, talking sensational things before a movie’s release have become regular phenomenon as that will garner huge attention and pull crowds towards that film.
Remember, Renu’s directorial debut ‘Ishq Wala Love’ is yet to release in Telugu. As she mentioned that she wants to give a ‘personal’ interview, one wonders if she wants to talk about Pawan Kalyan and why the couple took divorce. She could have spoken when she got divorced, but why now?
Renu Desai in the recent times has faced brickbats for talking about Pawan quite often, as many fans accused that she is using her ex-husband’s name to hog spot light. She however vented fumes on such allegations claiming that she is a heroine and model even before marrying her ex-husband. Is she going to elaborate more about this? Watch this space for updates.

Nitin’s direct attack on Mega Hero

Share
New entrant from Mega Family, Varun Tej is all set to test his luck with Mukunda that is slated for Christmas release. Makers of Mukunda thought of releasing it for Pongal, but pulled it to Christmas as they don’t want to clash with Pawan Kalyan’s Gopala Gopala. When things are looking bright for the new Mega Hero’s debut, here comes a shock to Mukunda’s team from Pawan Kalyan’s fan.
Nitin, who earlier planned to release his Chinnadana Neekosam on December 19th, pushed it to Christmas now. Nitin has made it official that CNK will release on December 25th. Both Mukunda and CNK belong to same genre and it is not going to be easy for the debut hero to lock horns with established actor. Mukunda makers are expecting good opening for Mukunda.
They don’t want to clash with any of the biggies. Even Mukunda may affect Chinnadana Nee Kosam’s prospects at the box office. With CNK’s date pushed to Christmas, we have to see if the producers of both the films make an agreement to avoid the clash.

Directors finalized for Charan’s next two films

Ram Charan is spending some quality time with family at the moment. He took a brief break after Govindudu Andarivadele and will resume work from January. Ram Charan decided to do his next two films with Srinu Vaitla and Gautham Menon in the same order. Srinu Vaitla’s single line story has impressed Charan and the former is developing it.
Gautham Menon is yet to narrate story to Charan, but the actor has decided to do a film with him right after Srinu Vaitla’s movie. Charan wants to do a romantic film after Vaitla’s movie and he feels Menon is the right man for it. Charan also bought a script written by Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan.
The ace writers have come up with a commercial subject that has ample scope for action and comedy. Charan wants to do that film after he is done with Vaitla and Menon films. He is deliberately staying away from commercial entertainers now. He is focusing on building his fan base among families and youth before going back to his comfort zone.

Nara Lokesh’s Satire on KCR

Share
Nara Lokesh has hit out at TRS rule again. In an acerbic attack, Lokesh took pot-shots at Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his six-month rule. Satirically, Lokesh stated that the “achievement” of TRS’ six-month ruling is “nothing but blaming Chandrababu Naidu for its failures.”
Taking to Twitter, Lokesh wrote, “Biggest achievement of TRS’s 6 months of governance is blaming @ncbn for their failures. If you cant deliver, resign & TDP will deliver.” Notwithstanding that a case had already been filed against him for his previous remarks against KCR where he compared KCR to Hitler and alleged that “government is run by rowdies”, Lokesh again dared to take on TRS ruling.
He made it very clear that TDP will deliver development in Telangana as well.

Trouble Continues For Temper & Gopala Gopala

Share
As director Puri Jagan and young tiger NTR are hellbent over releasing their latest film ‘Temper’ on January 9, 2015, Film Employees Federation is posing serious threat to their plans. Going by the info, the much precious Sankranthi season that mints gold for producers is going to end up with small movies. As Tollywood’s producers are disagreeing with a clause to be included regarding film employees, Film employees have taken up a strike again which they don’t want to end until the outcome is pronounced their way.
Confirming that they don’t have any sympathy for about-to-finish movies like Jr NTR’s Temper, Pawan-Venky’s Gopala Gopala and Bunny-Trivikram movie scheduled for Feb 5th, Emloyee Federation is not going to take backseat from their strike until their demand is met. They want a clause to be included which completely bans non AP-Telangana technicians to work in Tollywood unless they are members of Tollywood’s local unions.
Most choreographers, dancers, fighters and even drivers will face music then. Coming to the Sankrannthi release, Gopala Gopala might dare for a release as it has only one song pending. But ‘Temper’ has to complete 20% of the shoot; otherwise January 9th will be a dream. For now, strike ghost is haunting NTR and Jagan.

Sudden real estate boom in Yadagirigutta

Share
After months of uncertainty after bifurcation of the state, the realty scene in Telangana has started showing signs of some revival with the current action taking place in Yadagirigutta, Nalgonda district. With the announcement by chief minister KCR after his visit to the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta in October that his government would be transforming the temple town into a key religious destination just like what TTD has done for Tirumala, sources say that land prices has skyrocketed in more than 10 villages around Yadagirigutta.
Before the government acquires more than 1,300 acres for the development plans, agents have stepped into encash the boom. The land rates have reportedly skyrocketed to Rs 30 lakh per acre from a sum of Rs five lakh in few villages while housing plot rates have also increased from Rs 300 per sq yard to Rs 2,000.
Although business is looking brisk with increased land registrations, the flip side is that the revenue and endowment departments are yet to finalize any development plans given the fact that anything would be done after finalizing plans based on Vaastu and Aagama Sastra.

Initially, the team had looked at Ramoji Film City for doing it but due to the recent unexpected rains, the maize field got washed off and it is no longer lush. But in Bulgaria, those fields are in a very healthy shape as per the requirement so the team left to the country. The first part will see the light for Summer 2015.

Sensational letter to Pawan! From whom?

Share
Power Star Pawan Kalyan has always got the best fan following in the State. Now, he has got an open letter from a fan named Madhu among the crores of his fans. Well, are you excited to read this open letter? Here’s it is: “When the thought that I can’t further stop myself from writing an open letter to you passed my mind, I couldn’t decide how to address you. Should I address you as ‘Dear Kalyan!’? That didn’t seem appropriate. Then I thought going for ‘Brother!’. Thought you can’t be just a brother.
Tried to address you ‘Sir!’.But that is like distancing myself from you. Undecided, I started without a formal salutation. Coming out of the confusion, lemme first remind myself the reason why I decided to write an open letter. It’s your absence in ‘Memu Saitham’ event. A lot is written and discussed ON your absence, IN your absence. YOU are pin-pointed for not being sensitive to show up for an event held for a cause.
An event for stretching a helping hand towards the victims of Hudhud who are devastated and are waiting for help. Wait a bit. I’m confused. What is more important, reaching out for the needy or showing up at a fun filled event? Didn’t you rush to Vizag immediately after the cyclone broke out? My knowledge says that you even donated Rs.50 lakhs and appealed to us (ur fans) to reach out for the victims and provide basic needs. Then why are you questioned?
