Off late, Cases of Sons of some of the influential politicians getting caught in a drunken state and misbehaving with the cops have been on a rise. Few months ago, AP Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao’s Son was arrested at Shamshabad airport following the nuisance created by him. 

On Monday night, A former MP’s Son who was is an inebriated condition allegedly attacked the patrolling police in Malkajgiri. He was soon taken into custody and brought to the police station. Despite creating a scene with his rude behaviour, This Former MP’s Son claims innocence and tries to explain under what circumstances he has to behave in such a manner. 

There is still no information whether cops have filed a case against him or will let him go as his father is influential.

Congress Leader Botsa Satyanarayana who is known to a mass leader and able administrator served as Minister and handled crucial portfolios in YSR, Rosaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet. He, however, had faced defeat in recent General Elections just because of the Bifurcation. 

Being well aware of the fact that AP Congress is unlikely to come into power in the near future, Botsa is planning to shift loyalties to an other party. Since the past 15 days, Botsa has been in Goa and distanced himself for Congress party activities. 

Except for his family members, None including AP PCC Chief Raghuveera Reddy were able to come in touch with him. Buzz in Congress is that Botsa has been holding discussions with BJP topbrass leaders and would join the Saffron party by December 20th in the presence of Amit Shah.

Well, the Telangana government takes on another issue with the AP government to pay the Property Tax. The Telangana Government explains that the AP employees are using the services that are being provided in the common capital so they should be paying the tax for this. The TS Govt. is demanding the AP employees to pay 95% of professional tax as it is using the resources provided by the GHMC. 

However, after the bifurcation of the state this tax is being forwarding to the AP government account and nothing to the Telangana Govt. So, the Telangana govt is demanding a rightful share because the employees are using everything from Telangana alone. 

When AP was united, in Hyderabad alone there was Rs 300 crore tax collected. Even the buildings of Govt. AP have to be pay tax is the main demand of the TS. But. what do you think? Is this a genuine recovery of money? The TS government is all set to go to the Centre and get the tax paid.

Coming Republic Day in January, US President Barack Obama will be attending the celebrations as the chief guest. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is trying to make this moment also fruitful and memorable for Andhra Pradesh. After having successfully wooed Bill Clinton to Hyderabad in 2000, An is bracing for a date with US President Barack Obama .

We already reported that Preliminary work is under way between AP government and US officials to facilitate a meeting between Obama and Naidu. As part of that today Naidu have close door meeting with delegation from the US State Department met him.

According to reports Naidu urged the US delegation to set up a consulate in Vijayawada, where the state is building its new capital. The delegation led by Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Puneet Talwar and Naidu reportedly asked them to setup a US Consulate In Vijayawada saying that most of the people flying to the US from this region. 

The US officials reportedly said that they would consider the possibility of setting up a branch office in Vijayawada. Naidu planning to discuss the same with Obama and it was the one of the biggest request from Naidu when the latter meet him.

If the buzz in the National Media in the last couple of days is to be believed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his trusted lieutenant, BJP President Amit Shah has shifted their total focus on to Telangana now. It is said that Modi is serious on the ruling government defying him on several issues and has decided to strengthen BJP in Telangana, It is said that Amit Shah is in talks with Telangana JAC Chairman, Kodanda Ram to make him join in BJP and steer the anti-government movement. 

The state BJP unit is also planning a grand Public meeting in February called ‘Telangana Bhachao’. Both Modi and Amit Shah are going to attend this meeting and lambast the government on failing to lead the state. It is known that BJP high command has already decided that the party will work with Telugu Desam Party for the upcoming Secunderabad Cantonment Elections and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Elections.

A win in both these elections will propel the morale of both the parties in the new state. It may be reminded that both these elections will have a major say for settlers who are traditionally against to Telangana Rashtra Samiti.

A gloomy wave is riding across Telangana political brass about the recently concluded ‘Memu Saitham’ fund raising event. Political circles in the recently formed state decided to stay mum but they shared anguish with close circles as Telugu Film Industry bigwigs haven’t bothered to invite them for the event. 

As the 12 hour Memu Saitham telethon event is all about raising funds for victims of Hudhud cyclone from Andhra region in particular, they say Telangana leaders aren’t invited for the event. Critics however feel that at least they would have invited IT Minister KT Rama Rao, if not Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao to share stage with AP CM Chandrababu during handing over of the cheque. 

All these stars who have gained that cult status have been enjoying fan following of Telangana people and Andhraites alike, so the presence of T-politicians would have been justified. For films of all star-heroes, Nizam is as crucial as Coastal and Seema regions. Also the event took place in joint capital Hyderabad, so inviting T-government representatives is a bare minimum. 

aTRS boss KCR’s daughter Kavitha has openly stated that she is hardcore fan of Megastar Chiranjeevi then and now. Though she is politically opposite to him, Kavitha said that she can’t imagine cinemas without Chiru. If that is the love Telangana leaders have for Andhra based heroes, then why didn’t these mostly Andhra based organizers of “Memu Saitham” blurred their political views to invite them?

TDP leaders speaking to media blasted KCR’s six month rule in Telagnana. T-TDP senior leader Errabelli Dayakara Rao went hammer and tongs blasting TRS government and KCR’s flip flops on various poll promises. He said CM KCR like chameleon changed colours before and after elections. He said though no one expected any magic from KCR or TRS, he went buried all promises once the elections are completed. 

He asked KCR to change his style of functioning as his behavior is pushing Telangana into even bigger problems. He pointed how KCR went back on his promise to make a Dalit CM of Telangana and how people were troubled with comprehensive surveys. Errabelli pointed out how KCR promised to solve power problem but said the in reality electric wires are used by people only to dry clothes. He said even Telangana martyrs are insulted and feel that they have been cheated by KCR. 

He said before coming to power KCR stated martyrs number as 1200 but once in power he reduced the number to 300. He said KCR insulted even students and also minorities with his acts. He asked KCR not to pass time by telling lies and cheating people. He even branded KCR as Kotala Chandra Sekhar Rao. TDP leaders said KCR’s mark rule is murder media and show heaven in palms to people. They warned KCR that if elections are not held in time,they will approach court.

If reports are to be believed, the successor state of AP earned a whopping Rs 1000 Crore by auctioning confiscated red sanders logs. For sale and export of 3,615 metric tonnes of confiscated red sanders logs, AP managed to rake in Rs 991 Crore, say government officials in the know. Whereas it is going to garner Rs 1000 Crore by selling total 4160 tonnes of red sanders logs, categorized as A, B and C grades.

Interestingly, the whole auctioning is being carried through e-auction system with the help of central government’s Metal State Trading Corporation (MSTC) e-commerce platform. Once it’s concluded, the MSTC will submit list of the highest bidders to the state government, which will then initiate the process of sale and exports. The AP state government had conducted road shows and pre-bid meetings in China and Japan, where the wood has huge demand. 

Following this, over 400 prospective buyers including 140 from China, Japan, Singapore and other countries visited the red sanders depots. Classified as endangered in International Union for Conservation of Nature’s red list, red sanders fetches Rs.25 lakh per tonne in the international market. It is mainly used in aphrodisiac drugs and for making musical instruments and furniture. 

Although the Director General of Foreign Trade had given permission for sale of 8,584 tonnes, the state government decided to put only 4,160 tonnes for sale and export in the first phase. The remaining red sander is expected to be sold in the second phase. According to rules and regulations of e-auction, the successful purchasers, including both Indian and foreigners, would have to deposit 25 percent of the sale amount in 10 days and the remaining 75 percent in 30 days. 

The exports have to be completed within 90 days of confirmation of the sale. Out of these Rs 1000 Crore, AP State government is planning to use 30 percent for protection of the natural red sander forest. The remaining 70% of money would be used for the government’s scheme to waive farm loans. Looks like, Naidu’s plan is minting money for AP government.
