Another mega hero is getting ready for a mega debut. Mega brother Nagababu’s son Varun Tej is on the verge of completing his first ever silver screen escapade ‘Mukunda’, which has talented Srikanth Addala carving it with finest details possible. And now, its time for music lovers to get their ears ready for the soulful music composed by Mickey J Meyer.
On December 14th, Mukunda’s music will be unveiled in a grand gala event at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad. The who’s who of mega family including Chiru, Pawan, Charan, Bunny and Sai Dharam are expected to grace the occasion. Already insiders have revealed that music is the soul of ‘Mukunda’ and we could imagine that as Mickey J Meyer always enchants with this melodies blended with western style compositions.
Mukunda has Varun Tej and Pooja Hegde (Oka Laila Kosam fame) in the leads, with a blissful love story set in Godavari backdrop. The film is expected to hit theatres for Sankranthi 2015. Watch this space for updates.
Jyothika ‘How Old Are You?’
Bubbly beauty Jyothika has retired from playing heroine in film post her marriage to star hero Surya. After the couple starred together in Gowtham Menon’s Kaka Kaka (Gharshana in Telugu), love blossomed between them and ended up tying the knot. But Surya is not deterring her from coming back to films, and today she donned the grease paint almost after 7 years hiatus.
Making her comeback with Tamil remake of Malayalam film ‘How Old Are You?’, Jyothika dived into action from today (November 17th). Produced by her husband Surya, this flick rolled on floors in New Delhi with the original version’s director Rosshan Andrews handling the direction for remake as well.
Her roles in films like Tagore, Manmadha and Mass have won her hearts in Tollywood too. In ‘How Old Are You?’, Jyothika will be seen as a struggling wife whose husband and daughter immigrate to Ireland while her Visa is rejected. How she deals with society’s obsession with age specific stereotypes to woman. Wish her luck for second innings folks!
Fortunate to be born Post-1947: Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday said that that it was his good fortune to be the first Indian prime minister to be born post-Independence. “It is my good fortune that I’m the first prime minister of India to be born post-1947,” Modi said at a massive gathering of the Indian diaspora at the Allphones Arena.
“We did not get the opportunity to die for the nation or spend our youth in jail. But we can surely live for the nation,” he said. At the gathering, which was attended by over 16,000 members of the Indian Australian community, Modi dedicated the respect and ovation that he was getting in Australia to the Indian people. “This welcome, this respect, this enthusiasm…I dedicate it to the people of India,” he said.
The prime minister lamented that “it took 28 years for (an Indian prime minister) to come here.” The last Indian prime minister to visit Australia was Rajiv Gandhi. “My friends in Australia, I assure you… you won’t have to wait for 28 years,” Modi said. Modi arrived in Australia Nov 14 to attend the G20 summit in Brisbane. He will also address the Australian parliament and visit Melbourne during his stay.
Tollywood’s Favourite Girl Tired
The demand for Rakul Preet Singh is increasing by the day. Though Current Teega put a brake in her success run, Rakul hasn’t lost much due to the flop. The Punjabi babe has at least six films on hand and she is hoping to get into the big league with the success of Kick 2 which is in making.
Ironically, like less work is bothersome, more work is also tiring. Since she has multiple offers on hand, she is unable to allot dates to all projects and she is also getting totally tired running around sets. Also, it is no simple task to adjust dates for two to three films all at a time. But Rakul Preet Singh is not complaining for now.
She says very few get to be in the place she is in, and insists she is thoroughly enjoying this phase. Well, her producers feel she has nothing to fear as long as she does not miss out on her beauty sleep and starts looking tired on screen. We wish her all luck.
KCR and Metro clash finally Ends Up!
Finally, the Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has caught L&T in his grip. The L&T agreed to make changes as per the routes suggested by CM KCR in the Hyderabad Metro Rail along three stretches in the city. Surprisingly, KCR put forward a proposal of bearing the cost of the loss of realignment. The burden is estimated to be Rs 400 crore and he agreed to pay it without any problem. TS CM KCR who had a meeting with the L&T chief A.
Naik at the Secretariat, he expressed his unwillingness to destroy the heritage of the city which is more important to be secured. However, the Metro Rail had to come down to these obligations and confirmed that they will not be affecting any of the historical monuments, T-martyrs memorial etc. The plan of change is to be implemented near Legislative Assembly, Sultan Bazaar and in Old city that is flooded with religious places.
Finally, the MIM also joined the meeting and KCR has satisfied the demand of not affecting almost 40 religious places in the present plan and so wanted to make changes not to hurt any body’s feelings. Will Babu allow Revanth to Grow?
The ongoing conflict between the TRS and TDP parties is now taking new turn after formation of Telangana state. And even the events going on as of now in the second session of TS assembly are showing that in a strong way. One may like it or not, the sessions have seen the meteoric rise of TDP firebrand and young leader, Revanth Reddy who has become a thorn in the flesh for TRS and the face of Telangana-TDP. His allegations and verbal attacks have hit the target most of the times.
Nothing is impossible in politics, and if TDP indeed manages to gain once again in Telangana, then no doubt Revanth may be the likely contender for the top chair in the state from TDP. However, the big question is irrespective of whether TDP would gain back quickly or not, given Naidu’s reputation of using leaders and later disregarding them and also given Nara Lokesh factor, will Naidu allow Revanth to grow or will he halt this juggernaut somewhere anytime soon!

EXCLUSIVE: Mahesh Babu’s Special Request to Trivikram
Superstar Mahesh Babu has a special bonding with Rainbow Hospitals. His wife Namrata had delivered her first child son Gautham in the Rainbow Children Hospital, there was some health issue for Gautam after the delivery for which Rainbow Hospitals treated well and helped Gautam gained good health. And from then Mahesh had been endorsing the hospital and helping it grow. Recently the actor was supposed to shoot for an advertisement for the film.
The hospital had roped in an ad film maker for the shoot. It is said that Mahesh Babu liked the ad concept but not satisfied by the director. So he personally requested Trivikram Srinivas to handle the ad. Trivikram unable to refuse Mahesh, took 3 days of his busy schedule and canned the ad film. Currently the post production works of the Ad film are going on and it will be telecast on TV very soon.
Mahesh Babu is currently busy with the shooting of his next film directed by Koratala Siva while Trivikram Srinivas is directed Stylish Star Allu Arjun for his upcoming film. Both the films are yet to be titled. We are said that the duo are planning to team up very soon. Trivikram Srinivas directed Mahesh Babu earlier in Khaleja movie. Despite the movie not doing well at the box office, Mahesh had evolved a lot as an actor with the film with his excellent comedy timing and ease.
Pawan Rejects – Will NTR or Bunny Accepts it?
Telugu producer Tagore Madhu who has acquired Kaththi dubbing rights has tried to remake the movie in Telugu with Power Star Pawan Kalyan reprising Vijay’s role. But after watching the film Pawan refused to act in the film as he feels it will not suit for his image.Now the producer is trying to rope another star for the remake and trying hard to get his nod.The star here is in discussion is none other than youngtiger NTR.
As per the reports the makers have planned a special screening to Young Tiger NTR once he came back to city from Goa schedule.The screening likely to happen on November 23rd. If NTR doesn’t express his interest to act in the remake, makers are planning to approach Stylish Star Allu Arjun. Kaththi original version runs at slow pace, especially in second half.
If some changes are made in script, it will be perfect for NTR than any other actor. Flashback episodes elevating the farmer character done by Vijay were narrated in documentary style. So, if they take care on these drawbacks, it will be a high range film for Youngtiger. Kaththi has serious subject that may misfire if it wouldn’t be handled carefully.

Fake Platinum Disc Functions In Tollywood?
Gone are the days where people throng at audio shops for audio cassettes, music CDs. And experts in entertainment industry say there has been a huge drop in the sale of music CDs, cassettes in the last five years. With the songs available online for free, even star-studded films are also unable make the magic. Yet Telugu filmmakers are leaving no brick unturned to garner publicity and making ‘fake’ celebrations of audio successes.
The latest to celebrate such audio success event is the small-ticket film Ice Cream 2, a sequel to RGV’s previous film Ice Cream. An industry source comments, “Usually, Platinum Disc function is celebrated when an album has sold 1 Million copies, Double Platinum means the album has sold 2 Million copies, Triple Platinum means it has sold 3 Million copies and Hexa Platinum means it has sold over 6 Million copies.
But the actual sales figures of audio CDs including online downloads are not even close to the platinum or gold (half-million). But Telugu films are known for celebrating such fake events.” However stars like Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Prabhas, Allu Arjun are few exceptions who still hold good sway over audio sales yet not like the way the copies were sold some five years ago.
Actor Brahmaji’s son attacked by MLA’s followers
Actor Brahmaji’s son Sanjay was attacked by a gunman of Rajendra Nagar MLA Prakash Goud. In a road brawl, the followers of MLA reportedly abused and manhandled actor Brahmaji’s son at the toll gate of Shamshabad outer ring road. When Brahmaji’s son Sanjay was on his way to Shamshabad airport to pick his father Brahmaji and mother, he had stopped his car at the toll gate and waiting in queue to pay the toll fee.
Meanwhile, a car from behind allegedly belonged to Rajendra Nagar MLA Prakash Goud’s car had been continuously honking the horn to give way. With this, Sanjay said to have stepped out of car and asked why they were blowing horn when there was queue ahead. MLA’s gunman reportedly started abusing, issued warnings in the presence of MLA Prakash Goud who was also in the car. This led to a heated argument between two parties following MLA’s followers physically attacked Sanjay. Sanjay has lodged a written complaint against the accused in Shamshabad police station and demanded for justice. Cops are yet to probe the matter.
