‘Interstellar’ Is Way Above Kona Venkat’s Head
Most acclaimed Hollywood director Christopher Nolan, the filmmaker who carved flicks like Dark Knight trilogy and Inception, has now came up with ‘Interstellar’, yet another science-fiction movie. Fans across the world including some big celebs of Tollywood have waited eagerly for the release and many got disappointed post the release.
Interstellar deals with the concept of exploring the possibility of life beyond our galaxy. While the movie has intelligent stuff that deals with particle-physics, black hole theory and others, it is giving tough time to viewers for 3 hours. As the concept itself is tough to understand, audience felt tough to watch it for a long time.
Unlike Nolan’s previous movies like Inception where everything could be understood easily despite the fact that it deals with super-science, Interstellar is little messy and confusing. Sharing his thoughts on the flick, popular writer Kona Venkat quipped, “Interstellar challenged my intelligence and sensibility. I salute those intellectuals who understood the concept, but for me getting a doctorate would be easier”. Kona is a self-claimed diehard fan of Christopher Nolan, but he feels that Interstellar is way above his head.
What about Bhadrachalam Dora?
The high hopes of the people of Khammam district that the famed temple town of Bhadrachalam would get a face-lift in the newly formed state of Telangana seems to have fizzled out. At least that is the situation right now. Sources say that people and politicians from this region were stunned to see not a single rupee being allocated for this famous pilgrimage destination, considered as Ayodhya of the South.
While the Telangana CM KCR allocated Rs. 100 crores for Yadagirigutta, there was a raw deal for Bhadrachalam, which is suffering as the infrastructure is unable to cope with the influx of pilgrims. Bhadrachalam was merged from Andhra into Telangana in 1959 for administrative purposes and although there was talk of giving it back to AP after bifurcation, there was fierce resistance saying the Lord Ram here is Telangana Ramudu but the common man is feeling whether KCR is viewing him as Andhra Ramudu!
Brahmi is Back with Joru
It’s been a while Brahmi is in full form in his films. Even films starring him, recently other comedians like Prithviraj (Loukyam) and Srinivas Reddy, others in Geethanjali and Sapthagiri have outwitted him. After a gap, Brahmi is back with Joru.
As title suggests, star comedian Brahmanandam is in full ‘joru’ (speed) in his latest release Joru and keeps audience engaged with his expressions, punch dialogues and pranks. His failed attempt to reveal his flashback and his satires against various characters and offering his ‘bald patch’ to Sayaji to kiss as a sign of appreciation and so on.
Of course, Sundeep and Sayaji and others have their share of comedy, but director Kumar Nagendra banks completely on Brahmi to pull of yet another ‘light-hearted entertainer that relies on comedy than storyline. Actually, Brahmi finds himself in a meaty role after Loukyam, that exploits his immense talent, so it’s Brahmi all the way. Surely, the comedian was a strong wicket one more time after Dookudu and Attarintiki Daredi.
Censor Talk: Pilla Gets ‘A’, Erra Bus Is ‘U’
Two happening flicks are going to lock horns on the coming Friday, Nov 14th, as Tollywood will feel movies raining at box office once again. One happens to be Mega ‘menalludu’ Sai Dharam Tej’s debut ‘releasing film ‘Pilla Nuvvuleni Jeevitham’ and the other one is Dasari Narayana Rao’s ‘Erra Bus’.
Censor board has awarded Saidharam-Regina starrer with a ‘A’ certificate. As our dusky beauty Regina confirmed that there are no such lip-locks in Pilla Nuvvuleni Jeevitham, we may say that exaggerated violence and action content might have resulted in Adults Only certificate. Director AS Ravikumar is fully confident that PNJ will be a game changer for Sai Dharam, while producers Allu Arvind and Dil Raju exuded confidence of scoring a blockbuster.
Dasari’s production cum direction venture ‘Erra Bus’ where he is playing lead role too, has garnered ‘U’ certificate. Loaded with full of sentiments and family issues, Erra Bus is a typical entertainer, say reports. Manchu Vishnu is playing a key role in the flick and hottie Catherine Tresa is paired with him.
Cyclones in AP, please come here
After calling names that Brand Vizag is no more after Cyclone Hudud, now KCR led Government of Telangana is trying to woo investors saying Telangana is free of cyclones unlike AP and hence the right place for investments. However, there is criticism doing rounds that the Telangana CM has started using this calamity to his advantage and is luring investors with the statement that Telangana is a ‘cyclone free’ zone.
At the same time, many of them are expressing the opinion that they would rather prefer location with an unpredictable weather but full electricity rather than a location with great weather and regular power cuts. Even experts in Telangana say maximum development in the world has always happened in coastal regions, which are always vulnerable to hurricanes in the west, worse than cyclones. They feel it’s like saying please don’t travel on roads because you may face death due to an accident and hence better stay at home!
