AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu is about to attend the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet expansion ceremony and officially his office declared his participation in the event. It is already known that TDP’s present Rajya Sabha member Sujana Chowdary is being inducted into the cabinet of PM boosting up the TDP’s already share in the central cabinet. 

Reportedly, the CM Chandra Babu Naidu will fly to Delhi on Sunday morning in special flight and attend the cabinet reshuffling ceremony which is to be held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The sub-committee, which was formed to procure the lands for the building of new capital, finished its crucial meeting with AP CM Chandra Babu and the CM spoke to media after this very meeting. He appealed everyone to help the government build a new capital and said that some were deliberately causing problems to the plans by heralding wrong rumors on the capital.

The CM said that the labor and contribution of each and every individual should escort the building of new capital for the state Andhra Pradesh. He said all should partner the new capital in its construction. The CM also announced the boundaries for the new capital as below: – 10 kilometers area from Guntur Autonagar towards east Prakasham Barrage while expanding from west Borupalem to Prakasham barrage. The boundaries are being set from the south Autonagar Y Junction to Ring road along the 16 kilometers.

A delegation led by YSR Congress President YS Jaganmohan Reddy met the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and apprised him of the plight of Hudhud Cyclone affected people in north coastal districts and urged him to expedite relief and succour. “The Union Minister gave a patient hearing and assured of help to the affected people. As reports (on the extent of damage) are yet to come, once the reports arrive, the appraisal will begin and we will the Ministry will act immediately,“ Jagan told reporters quoting the Finance Minister after submitting a memorandum to him.

In a memorandum, Jagan explained in detail the magnitude of damage caused by the Hudhud Cyclone which left a trail of death and destruction behind and how the State has completely failed in addressing the issue. The State was found wanting on many counts as no proper enumeration was taken up, no official has visited the affected areas and 25 kgs of rice from Rs 1 kg scheme was given in some of the areas while majority of the villages were left out.

“I have personally toured the cyclone ravaged areas for ten days people poured their woes out and various sections of people, including fishermen and farmers bore the brunt while the State has failed in providing relief and rehabilitation,” he said. Farmers, who lost their crop, are not even eligible for crop insurance and their situation is very pathetic. We have brought to the notice of the Union Finance Minister all the facts and his response was good and gave a positive assurance.

A case has been booked on head of Narayana Educational Institutions and AP Minister P Narayana in Karnataka. Narayana has been running 16 English medium schools in the state. He has been accused of running the schools without proper permission and without acquiring NOC certificates.

So, a case has been filed by Black educational officer Munireddy in Koramangala police station. Munireddy also informed that along with Narayana, the school principal Ramadevi’s name has also been included in the chargesheet. Incidentally, the schools provide education from class 6 to class 10. Meanwhile, the police have said that an enquiry is on and that a case was filed saying that the parents were cheated. Action would be taken following enquiry and arrests would be made eventually they informed.

Well, it is surely a shock news to the L&T project holders of the Metro rail in Hyderabad. The actual project is estimated to be Rs.14,132 crores. So, according to Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Cess Act, 1996, L&T company should pay 1% of the labour cost. But, till date it paid only 1 crore out of the 141 crores.

So, the government has taken a serious decision about it and is very much aggressive to give a reverse punch to L&T. Even after many reminders the company failed to pay the 1% of the amount, that is 140 crores. So, the Department of Labour of Telangana State is now all set to issue a final notice to the company to immediately clear the remaining amount or if not the government may seize the moving assets of the project. 

So, the government is serious in action from this week if the company fails to pay the amount. This amount is mandatory because the amount will be utilized for the welfare of the labour and compensations will be given in case of injury or death. However, if the company will make it late it has to suffer a penalty of another extra 50% of the 141 crores. So, this could be the bumper shock to L&T!

While Andhra Pradesh is all set to build the first phase of its capital near Tullur and Mangalgiri, former minister and TDP senior leader from Kurnool raised a fresh demand. TG Venkatesh has demanded the state government to announce “Summer” and “Winter” capitals for Seemandhra. TG Venkatesh asked government to set up one capital in Rayalaseema and anotehr capital in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. 

Venkatesh stated, “Declare summer and winter capitals for Seemandhra in Rayalaseema and North Coastal Andhra respectively. Else, Seemandhra would be divided into three states.” Interestingly, TG Venkatesh also demanded one more capital for Telangana apart from existing Hyderabad. Meanwhile, TG Venkatesh lashed out at KCR for his comments against Chandrababu Naidu. Sharply reacting to KCR’s Vijayawada trip, TG Venkatesh courted a controversy by saying, “We’ll skin him (KCR) alive if he dares to step in Vijayawada.”

Finally, boundaries of AP new capital have come to known. Chief Minister CBN has declared the land boundaries of the capital. Chief Minister discussed with sub-committee members on AP capital. CBN made an appeal to the farmers to co-operate in Guntur and Krishna districts for the construction of the capital. CBN assured the people and asked to believe him in giving the lands. 

Farmers and downtrodden people are the first beneficiaries after the construction of the new capital. CBN said that some parties have played politics and giving wrong directions to the farmers in two districts. CBN promised to waive 1.5 lacs loan in single time to the farmers who lost their lands for the capital. CBN said that there is no use of constructing the capital in forests. CBN said that Congress and YSRCP leaders indirectly suggested building the capital in Donakonda. 

AP Capital will be located 10.5 KMs east from Autonagar (Guntur) to Prakasam Barrage. Towards west, it will be located 6 KMs from Borupalem to Prakasam barrage. Towards south, the capital will be located 16 KMs from Autonagar (Y junction). AP Government has proposed to construct three ring roads around the capital.
