Dammu Flop – Whom did Boyapati Blame Now?

Share
Director Boyapati Seenu has to literally wait for a hero to listen to his script post the drastic affect of ‘Dammu’s tumbled result. Somehow he managed to pull Balayya into scene and made ‘Legend’ that ran successfully at box office, but still Dammu hangover is something Boyapati has to live with for the rest of his life. But what made this Jr NTR starrer bite dust at box office?
Without any split second delay, it’s the poor content and over the top dialogues stuffed with regular scenes and high octane action scenes with loads of bloodshed that have spoiled the Dammu dish. But Boyapati Seenu stunned one and all by revealing that the flick failed for political and social basis but not any content related thing. He doesn’t want to elaborate on the film’s result further but has given rise to new speculations.
At the time of Dammu’s release there was buzz that certain section of fans got messages over their phone to not watch the flick. Also Krishna District was on ‘bandh’ call the day this flick released. But the film should have registered stunning collections in all other areas and generate huge positive talk, which doesn’t happen anyway. Political and social reasons are not even a part to consider for the kind of ‘content’ Boyapati made, and it’s high time he realizes that.

Jagan Can’t see Other Side?

Share
YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has vowed to take on Andhra Pradesh government over the woes of farmers in the state. Jagan is going to sit on a protest from Wednesday “in favour” of farmers in Andhra Pradesh. Alleging that Naidu hasn’t fulfilled his poll promises of waiving off agricultural and Dwacra loans, Jagan said that YSR Congress party will protest in all Mandals centres throughout the state. “We’re going to do protest in over 663 Mandals against government’s inefficiency in these five months,” Jagan said.
Jagan also said that his party’s next protest would be on December 6 where YSR party workers would protest outside all district collector offices. And the next schedule is on January 6th and 7th where Jagan himself will sit on hunger-strike for two days. This apart, “timely” schedule of protests “to be in news”, the big question is that why is Jagan Mohan Reddy not even bothering about the farmers of Telangana who have been going through the worst phase of their life. Media reports indicate that so far many farmers have committed suicide since KCR has taken over the reigns. But why is Jagan Reddy silent on the woes of Telangana farmers where his party exists. The question is that whether Jagan has no love for farmers of Telangana? Or does he have special love for KCR and TRS?

‘Ramayya’ Become So Popular In Tollywood

Share
Say it intentional or just things happen through inspiration, Telugu film industry always witnesses similar kind of titles coming up in same seaon. Earlier we have this ‘Ra’ obsession in Telugu film industry when filmmakers titled Prematho Ra, Preminchukundam Ra, Pelladadham Ra etc. And now it seems like a bunch of Lord Rama’s devotees are trying to conquer the tinsel town.
Jr NTR’s “Ramayya Vastavayya” turned a huge flop but that doesn’t deterred makers from using the Lord’s name. “Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya” came out of the blue and scored a surprising victory due to its potential content. And now, a child actor is turning hero with the movie “Vinnaava Ramayya”, whose first look was unveiled the other day.
Producer Sai Korrapati has registered another title, “Raane Vachaduga Ramayya” supposedly the title of Balakrishna’s son Mokshagna’s debut movie. One wonders why ‘Ramayya’ became so popular suddenly among Tollywood buffs. Is this just an obsession to generate to soft yet striking title or something else? Only those makers could reveal about it.

Public Talk On Director Koratala Siva

Share
Koratala Siva and the name rings ‘Mirchi’ in our minds. It is on February 8, 2013, this writer-director saw the release of his debut movie after going through a year of hardships. Prabhas-Anushka starrer was an instant hit while Nadiya and Satyaraj’s characters created an awesome impact. Though the content is regular, the way Siva dealt with mass-elements, dialogues and hero’s body language created the magic at box office. And then where is Siva now?
Cine lovers are feeling sympathy for directors like Siva who are able to manage a bit hit with their first flick but taking more than a year time to take off with their next. By all accounts, Ram Charan’s cancellation of Siva’s project even after a Muhurat program pushed the director into little mess, say public. While Cherry has his own share of concerns for doing mass-films, cancellation of a movie just before shooting affects a director’s chances for sure.
After Charan, Koratala was heard trying for Jr NTR and Bunny, but nothing materialized or all that was just a gossip. Anyway, Koratala has now announced his project with Mahesh, but people say, ‘Even that Mahesh project is not starting on time, as it was expected to kick-start in September end itself’.
Well, Aagadu pressure might have pushed Mahesh to take proper rest and Siva stated earlier that November second week will saw this flick rolling. “It’s really pity that a talented director has to see a calendar year without any release as he will be able to stand at box office again only in 2015”, conclude cine lovers.

‘KCR will rule for another 15-20 Years’

Minister for Irrigation, legislative affairs, mines and marketing T Harish Rao has finally reacted to ongoing speculations that he is competing with his nephew KT Rama Rao for the successor of incumbent CM KCR. Setting the record straight, Harish made it clear in an interview to DC, “I’m not in CM race as depicted by few opposition parties. KTR and I don’t have any differences and we’re in good terms and share good rapport.
Our only leader is K. Chandrasekhar Rao and both KTR, me will be working under his leadership. There is no second thought about it. KCR is healthy and definitely he is going to rule for another 15 to 20 years. So, we have a lot of time to think about who is going to take over the reigns. When the need arise, leader will emerge. At the moment, we will work in KCR’s leadership.”
Meanwhile, Harish in his usual fashion blamed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for power shortage in Telangana and claimed that TRS has a “plan” to overcome it. “We have entered into an agreement for the purchase of 1000 MW power from Chattisgarh as Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCI) is laying a newline from Bachupally to Wardha,” said Harish. He added, “We also entered into agreement with BHEL in Khammam to develop a thermal power plant with 6000 MW capacity within one and a half years. Also, Centre has promised to build 4000 MW capacity power plant by NTPC.”

Talking about his latest film ‘Brother Of Bommali’ which is due for release coming Friday, dynamic hero Allari Naresh spoke his heart exclusively with Gulte.com. talking about his future projects, this most-eligible bachelor explained why he isn’t showing interest about his dad, director EVV Satyanarayana’s stunning classics like Jamba Lakidi Pamba, Aah Okkati Adakku and Hello Brother.
‘Before dad passed away, we seriously thought of remaking them. But frankly, is there any actor who could fit into the shoes of Rao Gopala Rao if we remake Aa Okkati Adadkku?’, asks Naresh, pointing out that Tollywood is missing seriously talented actors. Also he has opined that some classics should not be touched. ‘They are classics and it is better if we don’t touch them’, he stresses.
So, if he has to go with new scripts and aspiring directors, then what is that he looks for in them? – ‘For a choreographer we could ask him demo. For a musician we could get tracks. But what could we ask in a director except the fact that it depends on how well he convinced us with the story’, says Naresh candidly. Watch this space for excerpts from his interview.

MS Narayana As Hero- What Happened?

Share
Whenever there is abundance of talent, it is natural that one individual tends to dominate the rest and deserving people don’t get their due. Perhaps M S Narayana can be taken into that list. With the dominating presence of Brahmanandam, M S Narayana has been an unsung hero but still he carved a niche of his own and made a brand for himself.
Few months ago, it was announced that M S Narayana would be seen as a hero and the movie was titled as ‘Crazy Wala’. Some of them are now asking what happened to that project. When the film was announced, few stills came out and many felt it was like a spoof on the AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal.
These thoughts came after looking at M S Narayana’s stills. Anyhow, the film was to be helmed by Mohan Prasad and produced by Hrishikesh Goud. If this project materializes, it would be interesting to see how M S would entertain as a hero. Let us hope this works out soon.

Hats Off To Brahmanandam’s Art

Share
What would you say when you are asked to express your thoughts about actor Brahmanandam? You would say he is the king of comedy and a very versatile actor who has elevated entertainment quotient to a new level in Tollywood. But here is another angle in this iconic actor who not many of you might be aware of.
Well, Brahmi has come up with a model of Lord Venkateshwara and this has been made out of clay. It is not an easy task to do clay modeling and that too with such fine angles and precision. But Brahmi has worked on it like a true professional and created a very nice model.
So far, Brahmi was known as a lecturer, a mimicry artist and then as a comedian. In between he also did few stints as a hero. But this craft of his has come like a bolt from the blue. It has shown that he has an artistic and creative taste as well. After looking at the model, we can only say ‘Hats Off Brahmi!’.

Nearly five months after going off air in Telangana state for airing a program that supposedly insulted sentiments of Telangna people, it seems like ban on popular news channel TV9 is finally lifted. According to some reports, Hathway Cable Network opened the relay of TV9 in Telangana and it is being live at Channel No. 36. They stated on multiple times that the program was highly defamatory and insulting Telangana sentiments. A satirical program on TV9, as the channel claimed that has crossed the line, and then issued apology within days after calling off the whole program from their slot. Even Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed uneasiness to speak on the issue but advised that all media houses working and doing businesses in Telangana should honour the region’s sentiments. After five month long blackout, TV9 is anyway on air finally, bringing joys to many audience who love the channel. However, the airing is open to Hyderabad viewers for the now it seems.

Share
TRS chief KCR while leading Telangana movement thundered that Telangana Talli is separate from Telugu Talli and even called for new official song replacing ‘Maa Telugu Talliki’. He announced ‘Jaya Jaya He Telangana’ as the official song of Telangana.
However it seems after becoming the CM of Telangana he is not keen on having official song for the state. Sources say Chief Minister feels there is no need for a state song. This was evident when KCR visited his constituency Gajwel on June 4th after taking oath as CM of the stae.
When officials planned to play Jaya Jaya He Telangana, he showed no interest. KV.Ramana Charay, advisor, culture to Telangana Govt said no decision has been taken over the state official song and said currently Govt is concentrating on solving problems of the people.
