Following Insults, Should Tollywood Boycott IFFI?
It seems International Film Festival of India is once again insulting Tollywood. Everyone remember that previous year Natasimha Balakrishna was the chief guest at the closing in ceremony of International Film Festival of India at Goa.
However this year the organisers didnot approach any Tollywood star for the guest list. T-town bigwigs from the beginning have been always wary of IFFI officials who ill treat Telugu film personalities and deny them due respect they deserve and give more prominence to Bollywood stars.
A source says “IFFI is mostly a Bollywood centric and they can’t look beyond for celebrities”. The source who felt that organisers seems to have mended their ways when they invited Balakrishna last year is shocked with the organisers returning back to their old ways.
The source adds “Its back square one this time, since till date, no big Telugu star has been approached ” In that case, most of the Telugu film producers and directors, could stay off or IFFI has other plans. Do you think T-won stars should boycott, until IFFI organisers, change their mindset?
Rana, Trisha Split – Silly Reasons Surfaced
Going by their ‘concealed’ messages on social networks, already everyone have come to the conclusion that hunk hero Rana Daggubati and seductress Trisha Krishnana have kept a full-stop to their fling. But cine folks are now busy digging deep into the reasons why these two had split. Check this out.
Whatever the reason maybe, for outside world it seems like Rana’s proximity with many other heroines is the reason for the breakup. Just a week before this so called hyped ‘split’, Rana has appeared alongside Trisha at an awards function and before that they have been spotted holding hand-in-hand at Raghavendra Rao’s son’s wedding. However, gossip columns are busy maintain that Rana’s selfies with other heroines by hugging and pecking have upset Trisha. And then, our Chennai hottie was also seen hugging Danush and posing at a party. Some say this has upset Rana as his 3am friend is spending time at some other parties.
Anyway, provided with the rumored linkups Rana and Trisha are having in the past with other celebs, all these reasons are looking silly. Anyway, breakup heals with time, and let’s both reach more new heights in their careers.
Video: SPB Praises Naidu’s Mahayagnam
Renowned playback singer SP.Balasubrahmanyam donated generously for hudhud victims of Visakhapatnam. He met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu and donated Rs 5 lakhs towards CM relief fund. Later speaking to scribes requested media not to highlight is donation and belittle his work which he felt is his responsibility as a citizen of the country.
When asked about his association with Visakhapatnam he said he got married in Simhachalam. He said he had fond memories of Visakhapatnam filled full of greenery which was now swallowed by hudhud storm. He hoped that Vizag will get back its lost glory.
On CM Chandra Babu Naidu he said it is fortunate that Andhra Pradesh is having a tech savvy, visionary person as CM. He said CM acted in a proactive manner and minimized losses and said even now he is working 24/7 to help the victims. He said he is apolitical and do not belong to any party but appreciating the sincere efforts of the CM.
When asked in what all possible ways he and Tollywood is planning to help hudhud victims, he said Tollywood is planning to conduct shows, sports, musical nites to help the victims but as a person he felt it shouldn’t be conducted in Vizag as they lost everything. He said these events should be conducted in places where people can contribute and help the victims.

Karnataka Cong Huge Donation for Hudhud victims
Congress Party may be waging bitter no holds barred battles with TDP and its president Chandra Babu Naidu. However Karnataka Congress donated generously to AP CM relief fund after Hudhud inflicted severe destruction in the Northern Andhra Pradesh.
It is known that Congress’ bitter rival TDP is ruling Andhra Pradesh. Following Chandra Babu’s call to donate generously for the hudhud victims, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Samithi announced Rs 1 cr donation.
KPCC chief Dr.Parameshwar said he will soon send the cheque to AP Government. He announced the decision at District Congress heads meeting in Bengaluru on Wednesday. He also annoucned that apart from cheque they will be sending 50 thousand sarees and blankets.
‘Kiss of Love’ Creates Sensation
Rahul Pasupalan, short filmmaker’s youthful team’s Facebook page ‘Kiss of Love’ is creating sensation. Rahul Pasupalan started this facebook page and already 2,600 people accepted the invitation to participate in the unique protest called ‘Kiss of Love’ at Marin Drive in Kochi on coming Sunday at 5 PM.
All this started after members of BJP Yuva Morcha attacked a coffee shop at Kozhikode, vandalizing it last week alleging immoral activities. Group of youth with young blood decided to protest this immoral policing by showing their ‘expression of love’ by participating in Kiss of Love. Already the facebook page for 14000 likes.
However Kiss of Love campaign and posters attracted the ire of Vishwa Hindu Parishad whose supporters tore up the placards and posters.
Everyone in Hyderabad is Telanganite: KCR
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has done a big volte-face. In what is seen as unthinkable and unimaginable for many, KCR on Wednesday stated, “Everyone in Hyderabad belongs to Telangana. All those who live in our State are Telanganites. Be it Gujaratis, or Marwadis, Maharashtrians or Kannadigas, Keralities or Bengalis or Andhraities or any others, who are all living here are our people. No one need to worry and we’re committed about their safety.”
Seeking everybody’s cooperation to develop Telangana, KCR showered Sops, “You are living in Telangana. Let us all develop the State. I will pump in Rs 10,000 crore. Extend your support to the TRS government. The poor will get pucca houses, flats, house sites where they live. Every eligible poor person will get ration card and other welfare schemes.”
However, KCR didn’t mince his words and took on his arch rival AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. “My fight is against ‘Andhra Rulers’ and not against common man. Accusing “Andhra rulers” of “neglecting” and “destroying” Hyderabad, he alleged that AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for trying to “scare” people living in the twin cities. Mr Naidu deserves the Nobel prize “for being the biggest liar in the country,” Mr Rao said. “Don’t fall prey to Naidu’s game plan,” he added. “Naidu promised to waive Rs 1.54 lakh crore farm and Dwacra loans but went back on his promise,” he pointed out.
Breathing fire at Naidu, KCR said, “Naidu claims he had developed Hyderabad. If Naidu had developed then what about Quli Qutub Shah? What Quli Qutub Shah did? Should he commit suicide with Naidu’s comments? I don’t know Naidu’s high tech and low tech, but there was no development of Hyderabad under Andhra rulers. One big rain and there is water logging near Raj Bhavan, CM’s camp office, Assembly. Slums have mushroomed. Land sharks have knocked away huge tracts of lands while the huts of the poor were pulled down.”
KCR once again blamed Naidu and previous Congress government for “power crisis” in Telangana. All in all KCR’s biggest volte-face has caught several eye-balls. Not long ago KCR himself stated people who were living before 1956 only “belong to Telangana”. Are his latest statements an indication of “damage-control” steps over his “demeaning” popularity or an attempt to voters ahead of GHMC elections. Let’s wait and watch.
Renu Desai About ‘F’ Love in Hyderabad
After proving her mettle as a director too in Marathi with ‘Ishq Wala Love’, actress-director-producer Renu Desai is waiting for a big break in Tollywood as the Telugu version of this to release. And it time, Renu shares her thoughts about much loved Hyderabad city, giving some interesting stuff about the city to which she came 15 years back.
“Hyderabad used to be full of ambassadors and auto-rickshaws, and now there are all posh cars. Traveling from airport to city through this 15 km stretch real makes me happy”, says Renu Desai, who claimed that the AP and Telangana’s join capital is her second home town. Talking about her Food-wala-love, she avers that Irani Chai is her favorite in Hyderabad. “I love to eat slim idly from Chutney’s Restaurant. Every day I used to make people bring that and then have this Irani chai. Also I love eating Biryani here”, Renu revealed.
Earthquake In Ramoji Film City
Don’t be shocked or tensed reading the headline but then there is also an element of truth to it. The famous Ramoji Film City is currently witnessing few earthquakes and all this is happening due to a film. We are talking about the movie ‘Gopala Gopala’, the remake of the Bollywood hit ‘Oh My God’.
Apparently, the film has few scenes of an earthquake which forms the crux of the plot. Reports reveal these scenes are being canned on victory Venkatesh who is reprising the role essayed by Paresh Rawal. The film also has power star Pawan Kalyan essaying the role of Lord Krishna.
‘Gopala Gopala’ is directed by Kishore Pardasani (Dolly) and this is produced by the duo of Suresh Babu and Sharath Marar. The music is composed by Anup Rubens and the sizzling beauty Shriya Saran is essaying the role of Venkatesh’s wife. The cine pundits say this film will cause enough earthquake at the box office as well when it arrives during Sankranthi 2015.
Big Hero’s Anger Caught On Camera
If you are a hero then you need to ensure that you put your best foot forward in front of public eye and media. Any tantrums and starry airs end up creating a major uproar. But despite that, there are those times when the stars feel they had enough and blow their steam. Recently, a big hero ended up flaring his nostrils.
He is none other than the Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan. Apparently, SRK was the celebrity guest in the famous show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’. Celebs who come there sometimes get mocked with some practical jokes organized by the host Kapil Sharma. King Khan was there to promote his film ‘Happy New Year’ with Abhishek Bachchan and Farah Khan.
A mimicry item imitating SRK was performed by Kapil’s team mate and this didn’t go well with the star. He ended up giving his piece of mind to both Kapil and his colleague. Fortunately or unfortunately, all this got captured on cam and this video is making crazy rounds on the internet right now.
Can You Dare To Fly In This Flight?
Traveling by an aeroplane is always fun and the views you get from the tiny windows is mesmerizing. But imagine what will happen if you sit in a flight and can see everything outside from all directions. That experience is going to become a reality soon. A windowless plane is all set to arrive.
This is being developed in the UK and instead of windows, there would be full-length screens which enable the passengers to see what is happening outside the aircraft. The passengers will also have the option of switching their views or they could simply turn it off and browse the internet.
This is being done using the Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) technology and it can also be used as a multimedia device for in-flight entertainment. The man to head this project is Simon Ogier and he is working with a team of engineers and scientists at the Center For Process Innovation. Wonder when this is going to come into India.
Family of Indian Origin found dead in Britain
In a shocker family of Indian origin comprising of Jatindra Lad, 49, his wife, Duksha Lad, 44, and their daughters, Trisha, 19, and Nisha, 17, were found dead in Britain. According to police 49 year old Jatindra lad, father of two is suspected to have murdered his wive Duksha Lad, 44 and his two teenage daughters 19 year old Trisha and 17 year old Nisha.
Police said they were found dead at their home in Clayton, Bradford. West Yorkshire Police started their investigation but said they are not searching for anyone for the deaths. Neighbour called police when the family was not seen for quite some time at their house in Blackberry Way at 8.31 PM. Police said bodies were present in the house for quite sometime.
Postmortems are now underway. Police said Clayton is a close knit area and neighbours are clearly upset with the suicides.
