For this a 27 year old guy Julian turned up and owned the kiss at Rs 49 lakh (81000 Dollars). Well, the reason behind this kiss is to raise fund for a cause. Julian is married and father of three children. Julian said that he did it with his wife’s permission.

In a rarest of rare comment, Megastar Chiranjeevi took potshots at writers of present days. Generally he never criticizes too much of anything, but his stringent remarks have come out while comparing old and present generation style of film making. Taking a shot at declining success rate, Chiru points out that ‘insecurity’ is the reason.

‘During making of movies like Rowdy Alludu, writers like Satyanand, Jandyala, and their associates would invite me for the script-discussion sessions. Because we never know what input I suggest might help chalking a new scene or a new character’, says Chiru, attributing the super success of his films to team work. ‘Raghavendra Rao is the captain of our ship, but he always takes key in from me or any other actor about improvement of a scene. Similarly we both used to have sessions with Keeravani. I like rock-beat and KRR likes fruits, so fusing those two resulted in ‘Pandu Pandu’ song (Gharana Mogudu) and that paid off’, he added. Chiru rationalized that if team-work is dominated by individual egos then films will taste bitter.

‘These days writers are so insecure that they don’t share story with anyone other than producer. They are worried that someone would confiscate and steal their ideas. That insecurity is the reason for declining success rate wayward to old times, where hit percentage is quite higher’, the matinee idol pointed out. Chiranjeevi, of course made heavy sense with his comments on present day trend. And that insecurity is the reason we are watching chunks of ‘mass’ ‘routine’ ‘illogical’ movies. What say writers?

The laddu of Balapur Ganesh of old city has been auctioned for a record Rs.9.5 lakhs, an increase of Rs.24,000 over last year’s price.

According to Balapur Ganesha utsav committee members four politicians had participated in the auctioning in which Singireddy Jayender Reddy had bagged the prestigious and auspicious laddu. Telagnana minister Mahender Reddy participated in the auctioning program which is held ahead of the nimajjanam event on the last day.

Tradition says that who ever get to keep the laddu worshiped with all rituals for nine days in the hands of Lord Ganesha will beget prosperity, peace of mind and general growth during the year. Last year the laddu was bagged in the auction for Rs.9.26 lakhs by the TDP leader Teegala Krishna Reddy.

In a shocking incident, popular singer Simone Battle was found hanging from the rod of her wardrobe in her apartment in Los Angeles, USA. Although the reasons for her death are not yet known, 25-year-old Simone was suspected to have committed “suicide”. Darshakaratna dasari narayana rao has once again expressed his anguish on big movies occupying all theaters on the release day of those films lifting small budget flicks from the screens. Dasari attended RGV’s ‘Anukshanam’s auction winners function yesterday and made derogatory remarks on big movies.

Hearing the words of Dasari, the employees of cinema theaters are getting embarrassed. An employee from Dilshukhnagar’s Megha theater says, ” We get maximum profits through the openings of big heroes’ movies. For small budget films there will be no openings and no profits for us.” Vijayawada top theater’s employee threatens, ” If Dasari continues giving such statements, we will revolt against him,” However, a cycle stand’s employee from Kakinada’s Devi multiplex questions, ” Why do you take Dasari’s words seriously? We enjoy his speeches in movie functions. You should also develop the same attitude.”

Perhaps for the first time in Indian Cinema, a father is going to direct his daughter. Actor Arjun is going to direct his own daughter Aishwarya Arjun. The news is confirmed by Arjun himself and the project will be launched next month. Currently Arjun is working on a tri-lingual film (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada) Jai Hind 2 which is a sequel to the star’s 1994 superhit Jai Hind that was also directed by Arjun. Soon after wrapping up present commitment, the star will stark working on his film with his daughter.

However, Arjun says he is considering couple of scripts but hasn’t locked the script yet. Giving a peep into the film, he said that the movie is a youthful romance and majority of the film will be shot in overseas.

Arjun has been staying away from limelight for a while. He was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Kadali which bombed at Box Office without a trace. He is now pinning all hopes on his daughter.

We are talking about none other than meticulous filmmaker Gunasekar, who did a 6 months crash course in a popular London Film Institute to learn about the new-age 3D format before launching his big ticket “Rudramma Devi”.

Usually, duration for such courses are meant for 18 months for students, but after analyzing his previous work and experience of gunasekar, the institute, gave him a certificate after completing course and appreciated his fast learning capabilities. Although, directors learn few things about a format, before venturing into it, but Gunaskear remains the only Telugu director, to become a certified director of 3D stereophonic and its first historical 3D film to be made in India. Surely, it has many first to its credit.

Vela Illai Pattadaari’ is the name, and this VIP became a blockbuster in Kollywood recently. It is known that youngster Ram’s uncle has brought remake rights of VIP that starred Danush and Amala Paul. If we look at the critical points that led to this flick’s success in Tamil, one wonder if it could repeat the same in Telugu.

In fact, VIP has no double-entendre comedy, neither extra ordinary interval bangs. It is just a travel of a well educated youth played by Danush, whose life gets a dramatic twist when his doting mother demises suddenly. There’s heroism, intensity and romance, but not like regular masala potboiler. This might look little sluggish for Telugu audiences.

Also the movie is just a solo performance of Danush throughout. His body language suits characterization and stardom helps bringing life to otherwise simple scenes. Can Ram repeat the same? Will this VIP work for him? Not until a chunk of changes happen to script and scenes, he could get a gem out of this remake.
