Director Gunasekhar has finally wrapped up the shooting of his magnum opus ‘Rudramadevi’, featuring Anushka in the titular role. When he rushed to produce this big and risky budgeted flick, there was little disapproval from trade circle as to why he is doling out such budget for this improperly weaved history. Guna has answers anyway.

Revealing the facts that led him to make Rudramadevi, Gunasekhar said, ‘By 2002 itself I had a fully prepared solid-version of Rudramadevi on paper. But I took ten years for more research and get facts from historians, scholars and books in libraries. I’ve sealed the script in 2012 and started pre-production work’. This clears the fact that Gunasekhar hasn’t weaved his ‘story’ of Kakatiya queen’s history in just 3 months like they do for regular commercial movies. From jewelry to weapons, costumes to chariots, palaces to wars, everything is close to history and accurate in Rudramadevi.

This film is simultaneously being shot in stereoscopic 3D and regular 2D format. Currently visual effects work is going at brisk pace, and ‘Rudramadevi’ might see light in December 2014. Get ready to watch yet another historical and fantastical magic from Gunasekhar after his ‘Bala Ramayanam’.

Renu Desai, ex wife of Power Star Pawan Kalyan on his birthday revealed that their son Akira Nandan will be making his debut on silver screen in special role in her upcoming Marathi entertainer Ishq Wala Love.

Renu released the teaser of the film to celebrate Pawan’s birthday. Renu revealed on Facebook that the film will be dubbed and released in Telugu too. Sharing the information she posted “Telugu dubbing going on…will release the Telugu trailer soon…till then hope u enjoy this”

With two biggies eyeing Dasara season other film makers are staying away from the competition. Earlier Loukyam makers thought of pitting Gopichand against Mahesh and Charan. But they have dropped that idea now. Loukyam is not going to release on 26th September as announced. It will release in the second week of October. It may be advanced to the first week of October if Govindudu Andarivadele doesn’t make it on time.

Gopichand has been running through lean phase in recent times. It is not advisable for him to lock horns with two of the biggest superstars of Tollywood at this point. Loukyam makers are showing ‘diplomacy’ true to its title and staying out of the competition. Good for them.

Adah Sharma, who shot to fame in Tollywood with Heart Attack film, is on cloud nine as she bagged a biggie. She is all set to romance Allu Arjun in the film directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Adah has impressed Trivikram with her performance in the film Hasee Toh Phasee. She will be playing second fiddle to Samantha in this movie.

Another heroine is yet to be finalized in this film that will go to sets in the last week of this month. Trivikram worked on the script until he is fully satisfied. NTR’s critics started to question his stamina as a star with Rabhasa tanking at the box office. Few sections of media started to write him off already. They are not considering NTR among the contenders for number one spot in Tollywood. But this bad phase is not going to affect NTR’s fan base or image.

Debacle of Ramayya Vastavayya pushed talented director Harish Shankar into oblivion. However it is highly hyped that his next features Mega ‘menalladu’ Sai Dharam Tej in the lead and titled ‘Subhrahmanyam For Sale’. Are things working out in favor of this flick? We get doubts now.

Apparently filmmaking giant Dil Raju’s line-producers have announced a casting call today. Calling aspiring youths of certain ages to send their photographs for auditions, they have announced that shooting of Harish Shankar and Dil Raju combo movie will commence from October 13th. Other than mentioning that this flick is studded with popular stars, there is no mention of Sai Dharam Tej. That raised doubts about this illustrious project.

Dil Raju is already producing a joint venture ‘Pilla Nuvvuleni Jeevitham’ for Sai Dharam, so it would be easy for him to rope the ‘mega’ hero for Harish Shankar’s movie too. But as they are not declaring Sai Dharam’s name, one wonders if this ‘mega’ film is no more on the cards. Wait and see.

Telugu director Krish Jagarlamudi is currently making his first Hindi movie Gabbar with Akshay Kumar playing lead role. The film is remake of Telugu super hit Tagore that starred Megastar Chiranjeevi. Bollywood star filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is producing the movie which also has Shruti Haasan as Akshay’s love interest.

Before wrapping up his Hindi movie, Krish has signed to remake a Tamil movie in Telugu. AL Vijay directed Saivam was a critically acclaimed and commercially successful in Tamil. This movie will soon be remade in Telugu and Rajendra Prasad is finalized to step into the shoes of Nassar. Child artist Sara Arjun is likely to be retained for the Telugu version as well. While Raghava lawrence is the hero in total movie, Lakshmi Rai and Andrea Jeremiah are heroines in respective halves. As public wants something new and short, sweet… hope this gimmick will work.

Director Guna Sekhar’s ambitious project, Rudramma Devi has completed its shooting part. The movie was Guna’s dream project and he began R&D for the project way back in 2002. He finally began the preproduction works in February 2012 and began the shooting of the film exactly an year later (February 2013).

Since then Guna and his team is working day and night on the project and managed to complete the entire shooting part on this Friday in a special fort set erected in Annapurna Studios. As the film is India’s first 3D Stereoscopic film, several Hollywood technicians are roped in for the project and the post production works of the film will go on in their supervision. Guna plans to complete all the work and release the movie in December this year. Both the 2D and 3D formats of the film will be releasing. 

Guna Sekhar is lolling out all his hard earned money on his dream project, Rudramma Devi. He is leaving no stone unturned to make the movie a classic. Anushka will play the title role while Rana will play the role of Chalukya Veerabhadrudu, the prince of Nidavardhyapuram (Present Nidadavole). Guna will himself produce the movie and had roped in some top class technicians on to the project. Maestro Ilayaraja is the music composer. Award winning Art director Thota Tharani has erected sets for this historical film.

Insiders say Salim Khan,Salman Khan and other family members along with bride Arpita visited Falaknuma Palace and spoke with the authorities. They even revealed their plans about wedding with the authorities and booked the palace. 

Salim Khan who didnot reveal the date of wedding however said that the wedding will be held in January,2015. Salim said the wedding will take place according to Hindu and Muslim customs. Arpita and Aayush are entering into wedlock with the consent of their parents. 

Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the chief guest at the audio launch of filmmaker Shankar’s magnum opus “Ai” (Manoharudu) on September 15. “Hello India! I want to congratulate a great director Shankar for directing ‘Ai’ It’s a spectacular movie with a lot of visual effects and I’ll be coming over there to India to celebrate the grand launch of the audio of ‘Ai’ at Chennai, Sep 15, I will be there for the great celebrations.
