No ‘Mahesh-Magic’ At National Level

Fans waiting for this Sunday from the last one week are disappointed at the end. Superstar Mahesh’s much hyped ‘Thums Up’ ad is aired today and here is the first talk about it.

Like all earlier ThumsUp ads, this too features the protagonist jumping from here and there by making the best use of this soft drink. What kicked a sparkle for Telugu people is Mahesh doing it for the whole nation this time unlike earlier where his ads are limited to Telugu channels.

However, the magic in Mahesh’s dialogue timing missed in the Hindi version of the ad, with someone robust voice doing the dubbing job for him. Otherwise, the ad would have been appealing to a certain level but the overall feel is still soapy. Previously, Akshay Kumar used to stun the nation-wide audience with his stunts for the soft drink company’s commercials. While Mahesh definitely looked new for the brand there is nothing like exceptional to feel about this.

Pawan Kalyan to expose the dark secrets

If Power Star fans are expecting a commercial entertainer out of Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu, then get ready to be surprised with the film. Why because the buzz from film nagar says that CGR is a controversial film laced with Puri’s trademark entertainment. This film is going to expose the dark truths behind news media.

Puri Jagan has been toying with the idea of making a film which focuses on the inside scoop of news media. He narrated the idea to many heroes but none have really dared to be a part of it. Prabhas is one among those heroes who backed out of this film fearing the controversies. Prabhas chose to do Ek Niranjan over this script. Even Pawan Kalyan heard this script long back, but didn’t respond positively as he had few questions over the concept.

Puri worked on those and rewritten the script and this time Power star didn’t find any reason to reject it. However, the buzz says that the controversial aspect is still intact and once CGR hits the marquee we could expect a major controversy to hit the headlines. If this buzz has to be believed the sensation it could create with the name Pawan Kalyan attached to it will be unimaginable, isn’t it?

Jr.NTR-Charan Redefines Star-Friendship

Clashes are the only thing heard between the fans of these star heroes and even the actors are taking a dig at each other whenever they get chance. But, Young Tiger NTR and Megapowerstar Ramcharan are redefining the meaning of a ‘star’ and ‘star-friendship’.

Big stars generally feel like not attending the functions or events of their counterparts. This is what we call ‘attitude’. They generally move friendly with another actor who is less of his stardom, but not with an equivalent. But, Junior shocked everyone by gracing the engagement function of Charan. More than his attendance, his close moving with Powerstar opened the eyes of many cynics who never want these two big scions (the Mega and the Nandamuri) to meet.

Today, Charan took his chance to show the value he gives for friendship. Junior’s prestigious movie ‘Baadshah’ under the direction of Sreenu Vytla is launched today and none other than Ramcharan clapped the muhurat shot. More than this, after the event got over, NTR has left the venue in Ramcharan’s car and the two alone. While the ‘engagement’ thing is a private party, this is a very public function where these two crowned heroes have defined that good stars can be good friends two. A good sign for Telugu industry folks! What do you say?

Young Tiger’s ‘Baadshah’ to begin!!

Young tiger Junior NTR has not been taking a break and is working nonstop. While he has reached the final stages of his new movie ‘Dammu’ here is another update. It is heard that Junior’s next project ‘Baadshah’ would be launched by March 18th. This would be directed by the jackpot hit director Srinu Vaitla.

The producer for this is Ganesh Babu and buzz is that the saucy seductress Kajal Agarwal is the leading lady. It is heard that only VVIPs have been invited for the grand launch and mostly Nandamuri Balakrishna would be the chief guest. This is slated to be a high voltage action entertainer.

The trio of Kona Venkat, Gopi Mohan and S S Thaman of ‘Dookudu’ fame would be teaming up once again for this project. The regular shooting will commence from April and it is heard that one schedule has been planned in Seoul, South Korea. This should be an interesting treat folks!!

Currently Rajendra Prasad is coming up with ‘Onamalu’ a typical kind of film with shades of ‘Aa Naluguru’. The film that deals with the ups-downs of middle class relationships has vanished heroine Kalyani in the lead role, as this comedian’s wife. Sources shared that the heroine used to feel uncomfortable while filming some warm scenes between the couple. Our hero, who is known for going overboard in kissing his co-stars over kissed Kalyani, the source revealed.

Earlier heroines like Malavika had complained about Rajendra Prasad who cannot resist kissing them though the script doesn’t demand. ‘Kalyani didn’t take it serious as her career is also running through a rough patch. Sources from Chennai reveal Rajini has shown his vocal talent by singing a song for the movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’. It is heard that the lyrics have been penned by Vairamuthu while the Madras Mozart A R Rahman has composed the tune. Buzz is that the song got recorded and it came out really well.

It was nearly 20 years ago that Rajini had rendered his voice for a song in the Tamil movie ‘Mannan’. ‘Kochadaiyaan’ is being directed by Rajini’s daughter Soundarya Ashwin and the shooting will commence from March 21st at London with Rajini taking part in it. Way to go superstar!!

Naresh Gang Vs Prabhas Gang For MS

Strong grapevine is that both the gangs of these two star heroes are fighting hard in making movies. Especially a ‘Multi Starrer’ is about to come from these stars and hence this tussle.

Interesting both Allari Naresh and Prabhas wants to remake the same hindi movie into Telugu by altering the content a little. Super hit movie ‘Zindagi Na Milega Dobara’ is the run after flick by these gangs. Naresh wants to do that with himself, Nani and Tanish in the leads, while Prabhas is eyeing it for Allu Arjun, Manoj and him.

Till now, rights of the move are not bought by any Telugu production house and the makers are in talks with their Hindi counterparts to bag them. ‘I’m having a strong desire to act in multi-starrers and this is what our gang discusses when we meet for a casual tea’, Allari Naresh revealed. On the flip side, cine observers are saying that ZNMD will not work with the Telugu audiences for its sheer touch of western nativity and twisty screenplay. According to grapevine, Brahmi is in lots of tension about his elder son Gautham’s future in Telugu industry. Even after trying with a couple of flicks, Gautham never proved his capabilities as a hero. If sources are to be believed, this ace comedian is eager to produce a flick for his son under partnership with another producer. But, the comedian is not keen on completely investing for the movie, as he is anticipating loss, say insiders.

From Krishnavamsi’s side, Gautham is not counted as a spicy material with the young man having lot of flaws in his acting and voice. ‘KV’s movies require lot of intensity and melodrama where Gautam still need to improve’, a close member of KV staed. Industry is abuzz that Nayanatara will be returning to acting with director Dasarath’s movie with our romantic star. After scoring success with ‘Mr.Perfect’, Dasarath convinced Nagarjuna for a sequel to ‘Santosham’ under the production of Kamakshi Movies.

It is known news that mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej is all set to make his debut in Bollywood with the remake of the cult hit ‘Zanjeer’. This is being directed by Apoorva Lakhia and here is an update. It is heard that the makers have roped in the deadly Sanjay Dutt to play a crucial role.

Well, Sanju would be stepping into the shoes of Pathan essayed by Pran in the original. Now, this has got many wondering how will the 5 and half feet Charan look in front of the gigantic Dutt. Well, the talk is that a lot will now depend on the camera department and the angles chosen for their scenes.

There is no doubt that Charan with Sanjay Dutt will look like David and Goliath. However, with planned camera angles and zoom takes, that difference can be covered. At one time, many industry people thought that not only ‘Rachcha’, but also other big releases of this summer will get postponement.

However, as per the latest hot gossip, it is heard that ‘Rachcha’ will be released on the stipulated date of 5th April itself. As such, ram charan is very stubborn to finish the balance part of the songs under any circumstances for the coming ten days. This issue has got more prominence related to gossips on tiffs with in the Mega family.

Here is one more update just received from producer Ganesh Babu. He spoke to few of friends a little while ago giving a clarification. ‘My kind request to media is not to cook any baseless stories on pawan kalyan unable to make his presence at ‘Rachcha’ event. Yes, he was not in Hyderabad on that particular day. Pawan traveled out of station on his personal work and was back next day. This is the original truth,’ said Ganesh Babu.

On the other side, few other sources commented of Pawan being to Chennai and was at Chiranjeevi’s personal guest house on the day of ‘Rachcha’ function…new doubt to raise now is why did Chiru bluff it as America???

Daruvu Vs Gabbar Singh

Mass Maharaj ravi teja’s ‘Daruvu’ movie’s entire shooting part will be wrapped up by 25th March.There after, the post production of the movie will be started. Taapsi is doing opposite to ravi teja in this movie. Vijay Anthony is rendering the music for the film while Shiva is directing it. The makers are planning to release this movie on 4th May.

However, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ movie is slated for 9th May release. This movie is going to be released in maximum number of centers all over the state. Interestingly, there is only 5 days gap between these two releases. It is really, interesting to see which movie wins the battle at the box office.

Mahesh Babu’s hits proved that he is more of a class hero than a mass hero. His films are doing exceptional business in overseas. His films have good market in Nizam and Uttarandhra regions. At this juncture Mahesh is not trying to improve in other areas instead he is working even harder to get even stronger in ‘his’ areas. Mahesh is working with class directors and taking up stylish films to stay out of reach to his competitors in these regions.

SVSC will be followed by Sukumar and Krish movies. These directors are known to make movies with class appeal. Mahesh is also in talks with director Karunakaran and Sekhar Kammula is the other one on his wish list. Mahesh is keeping safe distance from mass masala filmmakers like Vinayak, Boyapati etc. Those are being hunted by mass heroes like NTR and Charan.
