Having premiere shows before the release of films is proving to be very beneficial these days. All the medium budget movie producers are following this trend. Though there is a huge risk involved, the makers are going ahead with this strategy. ‘Baby’, ‘Samajavaragamana’, ‘Mem Famous’, ‘Writer Padmabhushan’, ‘Major’, ‘Charlie 777’ and other movies got highly benefitted. But the same route did not work for movies like ‘Rangabali’ and ‘Hidimba’. Despite that, the makers are organizing early premieres for all the Friday releases.

Karthikeya’s ‘Bedurulanka 2012’ is having premieres in Vizag, Guntur and Kakinada. They will arrange premiers in Telangana and other cities based on the demand. This is a comedy thriller made on the concept of the world ending in 2012. Karthikeya needs this movie to be a success. Also, Kannada dubbing film ‘Boys Hostel’ is also having premieres before the movie’s release.

But Varun Tej’s ‘Gandeevadhari Arjuna’ and Dulquer Salman’s ‘King Of Kotha’ did not follow this trend. Knowing DQ’s craze and the movie releasing in all languages at the same time, the producers did not opt for early premiers. Both these films have completed promotions and are waiting for the release on Friday. Let us wait and see what happens this weekend.

Vennela Kishore As Hero In Chaari 111, A Spy Action Comedy

After enthralling as comedian, Vennela Kishore turns a hero with Spy Action Comedy. Director TG Keerthi Kumar, who helmed ‘Malli Modalaindi’ with Sumanth, teamed up with Kishore and interestingly titled the film as ‘Chaari 111’.

The film is proudly produced by Aditi Soni under the Barkat Studios banner. Joining Kishore is seasoned actor Murali Sharma. Kishore is seen as secret spy, whereas Murali Sharma heads a spy agency. Samyukta Viswanathan portrays the female lead in this film.

For the first time in Telugu cinema, the film has been announced with an animation video. It is unique attempt to promote and market the film. The shoot is progressing at brisk pace. The cast includes Brahmaji, Satya, Rahul Ravindran. Simon K King composes the music and Kashish Grover cranks the camera.

Director TG Keerthi Kumar enthuses, “Prepare for a rollercoaster ride with this spy action comedy. Vennela Kishore steps into the shoes of a suave spy, redefining style while unraveling enigmatic occurrences within a bustling city. Amidst the laughter and intrigue, a dash of confusion spices up the narrative.”

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated project, “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” directed by Harish Shankar, is generating excitement as it gears up for a fresh shooting schedule in the first week of September. The official confirmation from the producers has triggered speculation about the film’s cast, particularly regarding star heroine Pooja Hegde’s involvement.

Director Harish Shankar has expressed a strong interest in having Pooja Hegde on board for the project. However, an unexpected twist occurred when the rising star Sreeleela joined the film. The original Tamil movie that serves as the foundation for “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” featured two heroines, leading many to believe that Pooja Hegde would be part of it.

Given Harish’s prior association with Pooja through films like “DJ Duvvada Jagannadham” and “Gaddalakonda Ganesh,” their collaboration seemed likely. Recent buzz suggests that Pooja Hegde has been replaced, with Sakshi Vaidya of “Agent” and “Gandeevadari Arjuna” fame being considered for a role in the upcoming schedule.

In this adaptation, Sreeleela will take on the role originally played by Samantha, while Sakshi Vaidya is set to reprise Amy Jackson’s character. This development marks another missed opportunity for Pooja Hegde, following a similar situation with “Guntur Kaaram.”

If there is one actress who attained a huge craze for herself after Vijayashanti, it is Anushka Shetty. The Kannada actress has a huge following and her heroine-oriented films like ‘Arundhati’, ‘Rudramadevi’ and ‘Bhagamathie’ did great business. Her craze multiplied after ‘Baahubali’ was released and her portrayal of Devasena’s character was nothing short of fantastic. But Anushka is not doing films regularly which is disappointing her fans.

Her last outing was ‘Nishabdham’ which was a huge failure. After that film, she is yet to release another flick but she is all set to arrive with ‘Ms Shetty Mr Polishetty’ on September 7th. Naveen Polishetty is the hero in this romantic entertainer. Though Naveen started promoting the film aggressively, Anushka is nowhere to be seen.

There is no idea if she takes part in the promotions from now on or not. Anushka is not the one to avoid promotions like Nayanthara as she promoted her movies very well till ‘Baahubali’. But she is nowhere to be seen in public these days. After ‘Size Zero’, Anushka faced some health issues when tried to reduce her weight. Insiders say that there were some changes in her physique and it is the reason behind her not willing to make public appearances.

The look of Anushka in the movie’s trailer creates even more doubts. She did not look natural at all and we can see that she was made to look slim through CG. The polished look of Anushka is clearly visible. The makers tried very hard to make her look young and lean beside Naveen Polishetty. Everybody is pointing out this problem and even her own fans are not happy at all. That was the only minus in the trailer and movie lovers are hoping that the makers will rectify it by the time the movie releases.

During the promotions of ‘Khushi’, young hero Vijay Deverakonda interacted with the press and spoke about the level of senior heroes and their stardom.

He said, “Superstars are beyond hits and flops. Rajini sir can have 6 flops back to back and come and do a film like ‘Jailer’ which does 500 crores. We just have to shut up and watch.” Talking about Chiranjeevi, she stated, “He can also give back-to-back flops, but if he meets a director with the right energy, he will come back with a sensation, just like he did with Sankranti. Chiru sir changed the industry. When he came, the kind of action that was there, the kind of dance that was there, and the kind of performance that was there, all changed entirely. He inspired many people to enter the industry.”

Vijay saying Rajni having six flops in a row did not go down well with the fans of the superstar. They are criticising him and one person said, “Stop talking so much. You don’t need to have an opinion on everything. And not sure this statement is even a compliment to Superstar.”

Coming to ‘Khushi’, Samantha will be seen romancing Vijay Deverakonda in the romantic drama. Apart from Vijay and Samantha, we can see Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, and Saranya Pradeep in key roles. No Stopping ‘Gadar 2’, Crossed ‘Dangal’ Already!

When the makers were filming ‘Gadar 2’, they would not have predicted the scale of their success. The track record of Sunny Deol is the biggest reason for it as he did not have a single 100-crore film. But the movie is breaking all the records and leaving everyone awestruck.

The reviews were not at all encouraging and the critics termed it as jingoistic. But the audience seems to have loved the over-the-top action and loud dialogues. The movie is drawing whistles from the masses and the single screens are running with houseful boards even after completing 12 days of its run. This speaks volumes about the movie’s success.

It earned 13.5 crores on Monday and the total collections amounted up to 388 crores. It has officially crossed the money earned by Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ in its lifetime. The collections of the Hindi version of ‘KGF 2’ were 435 crores and it is going to be the next target of ‘Gadar 2’. It is posing a serious threat to ‘Dream Girl 2’ which is releasing this weekend.

Mithoon composed the music while Najeeb Khan is the cinematographer. Shaktimaan Talwar is the writer while Monty Sharma gave the background score. Apart from Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma, actors like Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra and Luv Sinha play crucial roles. Anil Sharma is the movie’s director.
