Eye on 2024 elections, Pawan Kalyan begins Rythu Bharosa Yatra
Jana Sena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan has reached Puttaparthi airport on Tuesday morning to launch his Rythu Bharosa Yatra. The aim of the yatra is to meet the kin of the tenant farmers who ended their lives due to mounting financial troubles and farm distress. Pawan chose Anantapur as it has seen maximum tenant farmer deaths. He would meet 32 families of deceased tenant farmers and would donate Rs 1 lakh each to the families.
As part of the yatra, Pawan Kalyan will cover Kothacheruvu, Dharmavaram, Gottur, Anantapur rural mandal, Pulakunta and Manneela and console the bereaved families. According to the Jana Sena, as many as 353 tenant farmers had died in Kurnool, 173 in Anantapur and as many as 85 in East Godavari district. Pawan Kalyan has announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 crore to the tenant farmers’ families.
This is be the first yatra that Pawan Kalyan has undertaken after he launched his party ahead of the 2014 elections. With elections just two years away, the Jana Sena has upped its ante. It has now decided to go on hyper active mode. The Power Star has decided to undertake a massive yatra across the state from April 12.
The thinking heads of Jana Sena feel that by raising the issue of farm distress and farmers suicides, Pawan Kalyan would be able to rally round the rural masses behind the Jana Sena. The party feels that the yatra would also energise the party cadres and sympathisers across Rayalaseema.

HC upholds Sasikala’s removal as AIADMK General Secy
In a setback for VK Sasikala, the Madras High Court on Monday upheld the decision of removing the veteran leader from the position of general secretary of AIADMK after the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa in 2016.
Speaking about the same, AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Sathyan said that the party had filed a petition to dismiss the claim of VK Sasikala as general secretary. The honourable judge, acknowledging the petition filed by Edappadi Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam, dismissed Sasikala’s plea and passed an order favouring EPS and OPS.”
After the HC dismissed her plea, Sasikala told the reporters that she would soon challenge the decision in the Supreme Court.
After completing her four-year prison term in Bengaluru, Sasikala returned to Tamil Nadu on February 8, 2021. Although, she first indicated that she would be interested in active politics, later announced her decision to stay away.
Balakrishna wants a safe launch for his son Mokshagna?
Nandamuri Balakrishna is in a golden phase of his career now. His previous film, Akhanda was box office blockbuster and his OTT debut, Unstoppable is a huge hit as well.
Now, Balakrishna is on the verge of setting up a safe launch pad for his son, Nandamuri Mokshagna Tej, whose debut has been in the new for a really long time now.
Balakrishna has an interesting theory about the same. He wants an interesting debut for Mokshagna, much like Akhil Akkineni who was seen in a brief yet effective cameo in Manam. He wants a similarly exciting launch film for Mokshagna now.
Apparently, Balayya wants none other than Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts to handle Mokshagna’s debut project.
Geetha Arts is a hugely successful production house and is known for incredible success rate. That could be the reason why Balakrishna wants the production house to handle Mokshagna’s debut project.
It is also heard that Mokshagna is closely traveling with Anil Ravipudi and the chances are that Anil might well direct Mokshagna’s debut project. More details about the same will be out in the days to follow.
How will Jagan douse disgruntlement in party?
When the chief minister of a state takes up a big exercise of reshuffling his cabinet after a long time, there is bound to be disgruntlement among the aspirants who cannot make it to the new cabinet and those who are dropped from the earlier cabinet.
So, there is no surprise that YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is also facing such hiccups in the party during the reshuffle of his council of ministers on Monday.
Jagan was obviously had to face a lot of pulls and pressures in revamping his cabinet; otherwise, he would not have retained as many as 11 ministers from the old cabinet, though initially he has indicated that he might retain four or five ministers.
Jagan had to retain seniors like Botsa Satyanarayana and Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, only because of their influence in their respective districts; and their reluctance to take up the party positions or cabinet rank posts offered by him.
But there are other seniors who could not be accommodated in the cabinet, like Balineni Srinivas Reddy. He is not only a relative of Jagan, but also a powerful force in Prakasam district. He is seething with anger for not being renominated, while others could get the chance.
Similarly, other party leaders like Samineni Udaya Bhanu, Kolusu Parthasarathy, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy and Mekathoti Sucharita have also raised their voice against the injustice meted out to them in the cabinet expansion.
Balineni is understood to have threatened to quit the MLA post, while Sucharita has already announced her resignation. The disgruntled elements stayed away from the cabinet formation on Monday.
However, senior YSRC leader and advisor to the government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who played a key role in the cabinet formation, said the dissatisfaction among the aspirants was quite common and it would be doused soon.
Sources in the party said Jagan would talk to each of the aspirants and the ministers who were dropped from the previous cabinet and pacify them. He might offer suitable positions to the prominent among them.
Fortunately, none of them so far said he or she would quit the party.
“Even if anybody does quit the party, there won’t be much impact on the party and Jagan knows how to handle such a situation,” a party senior said.
Jr NTR completes 25 years in Telugu film industry
‘RRR’ actor Jr NTR, who shone as Komaram Bheem, has completed 25 years in the Telugu film industry.
April 11 marks the 25th anniversary of Jr NTR’s first movie ‘Ramayanam’, better known as ‘Bala Ramayanam’.
Jr NTR had made his debut as a child actor with ‘Bala Ramayanam’, which was released on this date in 1997. NTR, who was a classical dancer, had grabbed the attention of the casting team, who had him on board to essay the role of Rama.
‘Shakuntalam’ director Gunasekhar wielded the megaphone for this mythological drama which showcased Jr NTR as Lord Rama.
The film had bagged two Nandi Awards – Best Children Film (Gold) and Best Child Actress (Swathi as Ravana) in 1998. Featuring more than 3,000 children, ‘Bala Ramayanam’ was produced under Shabdhalaya Theaters.
With an illustrious career of 25 years, Jr NTR has worked in over 30 films, some of which are blockbuster hits. His career is replete with massive hits such as ‘Aadi’, ‘Simhadri’, ‘Temper’, ‘Janatha Garage’ and ‘Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava’.

Google Sues Puppy Scammer After Tip From AARP; Scammer Used Services to Sell Fake Pets
Alphabet’s Google on Monday sued an alleged puppy scammer who used its services to sell fake pets, the first of what the company said would be a growing number of lawsuits targeting apparent misuse by its users.
Elder advocacy group AARP tipped Google to the scam last September following a complaint from a South Carolina resident who had sent $700 (roughly Rs. 53,1110) in digital gift cards to an online seller for a basset hound puppy that never came, according to Google’s lawsuit in US district court in San Jose.
Google is seeking monetary damages and a court order banning the accused user, Nche Noel of Cameroon. Noel did not respond to a request for comment through one of several puppy websites named in the lawsuit, and an attorney was not immediately listed for Noel in court records.
Imran Khan’s PTI decides to resign from National Assembly
ISLAMABAD: Ahead of the election of a new Prime Minister in the National Assembly, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has decided to resign from the assembly.
This development comes after Imran Khan said that he will not sit in the assemblies with ‘thieves’, reported ARY News.
“The man who has 16 billion and 8 billion rupees of corruption cases, whoever selects and elects the Prime Minister can not be a big insult to the country. We are resigning from the National Assembly,” Imran Khan was quoted as saying by PTI’s official Twitter account.
Confirming the decision, Pakistan’s former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said that sitting in the assembly would strengthen the Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif, and therefore it has been decided to submit their resignation from the National Assembly.
“Imran Khan supported my suggestion during the parliamentary party meeting,” he said and added that Khan would visit Peshawar on Wednesday.v”Imran Khan will give a call to people every Sunday to come out against the foreign conspiracy,” Rasheed said.

PTI Member of National Assembly (MNA) Murad Saeed was the first member of the party who submitted his resignation to the Speaker of the National Assembly, as per ARY News.
Earlier in the day, the PTI held the parliamentary party at the Parliament House in Islamabad, reported Radio Pakistan. The meeting was chaired by former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani Parliament is also going to elect the country’s new Prime Minister today after Imran Khan was ousted from the PM post in a no-confidence vote in the National Assembly.
Moreover, nomination papers of Pakistan’s joint Opposition candidate Shehbaz Sharif and PTI’s Shah Mahmood Qureshi were approved for the Prime Minister’s election on Sunday.
Ahead of the crucial National Assembly session, PTI leader Asad Umar has instructed the party lawmakers to ensure their attendance in the Assembly to support Qureshi.
Notably, the voting on the no-confidence motion against the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was held in the country’s National Assembly late on Saturday night, with 174 members recording their votes in favour of the motion that ousted the Imran Khan government.

Young and talented hero ‘Karthikeya 2′ has been working on multiple projects for a long time but the makers were unable to find a release date. The promotions of ’18 Pages’ kickstarted recently and it is expected to arrive in the summer. On the other hand, he is working on the sequel of his super hit film ‘Karthikeya’ which came out back in 2014.
This mystery drama began long back and director Chandoo Mondeti made this film with a lot of care and perfection. Nikhil played the title role while Anupama Parameswaran is the heroine. Known for his different films, there are good expectations on ‘Karthikeya 2’. The makers have now officially released a poster announcing that this exciting project will be hitting the big screens on 22nd July 2022.

Baseless rumors on Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu project
There is a lot of noise surrounding SS Rajamouli’s upcoming project with Mahesh Babu. This project is in the early stage of production now and it is set to hit the floors in the next few months.
Coming to the point, there are several baseless speculations about this Rajamouli directorial which is riding high on buzz already.
There are reports that this project will be an action adventure but this isn’t the affirmative update on the film. There are still a lot of uncertainties pertaining to the project. We don’t know for certain if this project is an action thriller.
Rajamouli is still in vacay mode, like he usually does after all of his films. He is taking some time off and he will be unavailable for the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is still busy with Sarkaru Vaari Paata. So, it is not wise to speak about this untitled project just yet. Coming to the conclusion that this is an action thriller is not the right idea.
