Sita Ramam has turned out to be a box office blockbuster and Hanu has now emerged as a sought after director for Telugu heroes.
The latest news is that Hanu has prepared another love drama subject this time around. He is confident about materializing the project at the earliest. Apparently, he has narrated the subject to Naga Chaitanya.
Chaitanya is usually inclined towards love dramas and he is said to be thrilled about the story pitched by Hanu Raghvapudi. Will this project materialize in the near future? We have to wait and see.
Flexes Greeting CM KCR On BRS Erected in Andhra Pradesh
CM KCR is aiming to achieve what no regional leaders in recent times have managed to do. He is focusing on entering the big stage of national politics. As part of the efforts, he changed the name of TRS to BRS. For the past few days, we have been hearing stories about the same.
KCR announced the development, in the presence of party leaders and leaders of other states. Not just that, the party also announced that BRS will start its first big fight by trying its luck in the upcoming general elections in Gujarat.
This will be a direct fight between BJP and BRS as Gujarat has been a strong fortress of the saffron party. The party has been in power in the state for over three decades. Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister before he became the Prime Minister.
On the occasion of KCR’s new announcement, flexes congratulating the Chief Minister for this were erected in Andhra Pradesh. The flexes were set up in the busy locations of the temple city Vijayawada. In multiple locations, the flexes were set up. The flexes appearing in Andhra Pradesh are interesting.
The national party needs leaders from every state and Andhra Pradesh is no exception. Earlier media reports said that TRS is in search of leaders who can be a part of the party in Andhra Pradesh. Some of the aspirants might have set up the flexes.
The news of flexes might have reached the notice of Telangana Rashtra Samithi leadership and top leaders. The aspirants might have felt that with the flexes they can come into the good books of the TRS and they can be considered.
Comparison Is Ok, Can KCR Pull Off NTR’s Success?
Putting an end to the long waiting and speculations, Telangana Chief Minister KCR announced that he is entering national politics and for that TRS name is changed to BRS. As announced earlier, he made the announcement today. Amending the party Constitution, the name was changed.
A few leaders from other parties attended the meeting earlier today and they had lunch together. This meeting drew a comparison between KCR and Telugu Desam Party founder NT Rama Rao.
When NTR brought all the opposition parties under one roof against the mighty Congress, various leaders met for a lunch hosted by Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. Star leaders in the Bharatiya Janata Party like Advani, Vajpayee, and others were present at the meeting.
As a striking similarity, KCR also hosted a big lunch meeting, and leaders like former Karnataka Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy and others were present.
We can see that big leaders were present in both meetings and they are being compared. Comparison is ok. Can KCR do what NTR did is the question here? NTR was successful in creating a strong force against the grand old Congress.
The National Front led by the Telugu Desam Party achieved a big success at the national level and VP Singh supported by the front became the Prime Minister. We rarely see leaders from the southern states create an impact on national politics.
Back then Congress was in a strong position and the Bharatiya Janata Party is in an even stronger position now. In many states, the party has a good presence and it is in power in a good number of states. So we have to wait and see what KCR can achieve.
What Is Election Commission’s Definition of National Party?
There are many major parties in the country and a few parties have recognition as national parties. After the ED raided the offices of many political offices which are registered as parties but not functioning. People got to know that many parties are registered with the Election Commission but not in a functioning state.
A few regional parties have members who are serving as the national president despite the party being present in just one state. Now let us look at the definition of a national party as per the Election Commission of India.
The definition of the Election Commission of India says that the members of the party should have contested in Parliament or Assembly elections in four or more states. The party should record at least 6 percent of votes and the votes should be valid ones.
The concerned party should have four members in the Parliament either from one state or multiple states. In four states, the party should have recognition as a regional party. Or else, the party should have at least 2 percent of total Lok Sabha seats.
The two percent of the seats should not be from a single state. The members should be from three different states.
It is known that Telangana Chief Minister KCR announced a change in his party name. The existing TRS now became BRS. In regard to the party name change, the Election Commission has been informed. To get recognised as the national party, the BRS now has to follow all the guidelines.
Upcoming Diwali Season To be Jam Packed For Tollywood?
The Festival season is empty for movie lovers without films. That’s the reason why the makers try to target the festival season. The chances of films becoming successful are very high during the seasons as movie lovers want to watch films for the season.
On the eve of the Dasara festival, Tollywood had three releases today. Chiranjeevi’s GodFather, Nagarjuna’s The Ghost, and newcomer Bellamkonda Ganesh’s Swathi Muthyam. The three films hit the theatres today and all the films received good responses and are seeing good collections. Besides Dasara, Sankranthi and Diwali are the other two big seasons for Tollywood.
As Dasara had a good season, the focus is now on the upcoming Diwali season. As many as six films were locked for the season including a few interesting films. Besides Telugu films, dubbed films are also aiming for the season.
Tamil hero Sivakarthikeyan became a noted name in Telugu as his few films did good business here. He is awaiting the release of his upcoming bilingual film titled Prince. Jathi Ratnalu fame Anudeep is the director and it is said that Prince will hit the theatres on Diwali in Telugu and Tamil too.
Tollywood young hero Vishwak Sen is also coming for the season reportedly. His upcoming film Ori Devuda might arrive at theatres during the season. The film is carrying high expectations. Mithila Parkar is playing the leading lady.
Manchu scion Vishnu might also try his luck with his upcoming film Jinnah. Though the official announcement is yet to be made, the film might clash with other films in the Diwali season.
Nandini Reddy’s Anni Manchi Sakunamule and Daggubati Abhiram’s debut film Ahimsa might also come to theatres for the festival season. If all the films arrive at theatres, then the season is going to be paisa Vasool.
Adipurush Criticism Turning Political Worrying Makers?
Post Baahubali, Prabhas became a big star and all his films are making his fans and movie lovers eagerly wait for his films. High ticket film Adipurush is one such film. But everything went upside down after the teaser was dropped. Many objections were raised from multiple corners.
People who pinned high hopes on the film as it is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana were not impressed with the teaser. The poor VFX added fuel to the criticism of the alleged misrepresentation of Ramayana. Netizens are also talking about boycotting the film.
The criticism forced the makers to focus on damage control. Director Om Raut already said that the VFX for the film was made keeping the big screen in mind and one cannot under the VFX by watching the teaser on YouTube. His statements received a mixed reaction.
Making it tough for the makers of Adipurush, the criticism turned political with a few politicians lashing out at the makers of the not-so-good VFX. The Hindu outfits and a few BJP leaders already came down severely on the makers.
Popular Kannada actor Malavika Avinash, who also serves as the BJP spokesperson blamed Bollywood for the wrong representation of the Hindu epic. She said that the makers did not do the correct research. She asked the makers if they know about NT Rama Rao, Rajkumar, and SV Ranga Rao who earlier portaryed such roles.
Joining the force, Uttar Pradesh deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak lashed out at the teaser and said that they will not let anyone hurt the sentiments of Hindus. BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj also raised a few objections after watching the teaser.
On top of the severe criticism, the makers unveiled the teaser from Ayodhya city, the birthplace of Lord Rama as per Hindu beliefs. People are asking what is the point in launching such a teaser from Ayodhya city.
If the same continues, the criticism towards the film would increase for sure. Now all eyes are on the makers and we have to wait and see what they will do now. The makers are under severe heat.
