Rashmika Mandanna’s Honest Take on Life and Balance

Share

Sometimes, dreams move faster than time — and Rashmika Mandanna’s words recently proved that. While promoting her upcoming film “The Girlfriend”, directed by Rahul Ravindran and presented by Allu Aravind, Rashmika ended up speaking less about cinema and more about life itself.

Backed by Dheeraj Mogili and Nene, the film was naturally expected to be the highlight of the event, but what truly caught everyone’s attention was Rashmika’s heartfelt and grounded conversation.

She opened up about the pressures of the film industry, saying that working nonstop isn’t something to glorify. “I work a lot too, but I always tell others not to. Our body and mind need rest,” she shared. Rashmika said she dreams of having a “proper 9-to-6 life” someday — one that leaves space for family, workouts, rest, and peace of mind. Her words didn’t sound like a celebrity statement but rather a sincere confession from someone learning balance the hard way.

Then came the line that melted hearts everywhere. With a warm smile, Rashmika said, “I’m not a mother yet, but I know one day I will be. I already think about my kids — how to keep them safe, how to give them a good life.” The moment was real and relatable — no pretence, just emotion.

Fans flooded social media with love, calling her thoughts “pure, honest, and homely.” Rashmika ended her talk with a thoughtful note: people should hustle hard in their 20s and 30s, but by 40, they should learn to strike balance and live mindfully.

Between promoting The Girlfriend and sharing these heartfelt reflections, Rashmika reminded everyone that behind the stardom is a young woman navigating life just like anyone else — one lesson, one dream, one honest moment at a time.

Tamannaah on Aging Gracefully: “35 is Just the Beginning!”

Share

In the film industry, a heroine’s career typically lasts about 10 to 15 years — and that too only if she constantly reinvents herself to match audience expectations. If her films flop or she fails to impress the audience, the offers dry up quickly. Many actresses, unable to sustain the momentum, fade out within a short span.

Earlier, heroines would usually retire from films by the age of 30, get married, and say goodbye to the industry. But times have changed. Today’s generation of actresses continues to receive opportunities even after crossing 40. In fact, filmmakers are now writing meaningful roles even for actresses in their 50s — something that was once unimaginable.
Speaking recently in an interview about age, career, and marriage, actress Tamannaah Bhatia shared her perspective:

“Earlier, people believed that a heroine’s career ended by the age of 30. But now, experience and maturity bring even better roles. When I entered the industry, I thought I’d marry and have kids before 30. But by that age, I had just begun to understand my life and career. Today, even actresses above 35 are getting great opportunities, and that’s a beautiful change. Aging isn’t a disease — it’s a reflection of experience and wisdom.”

At 35, Tamannaah continues to thrive in the industry. While she may not appear as often in lead roles, she remains highly active with special songs and impactful performances. She’s currently busy working on multiple projects, including ‘Oh Romeo’, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, where she stars opposite Shahid Kapoor. The film is expected to release either later this year or early next year. Additionally, she’s also part of a mythological thriller titled ‘Force of the Forest’.

Despite the evolving industry and changing standards, Tamannaah stands as a shining example that talent and determination can outlast any age barrier.

Sai Durgha Tej Plans Sequel to ‘Republic’

Share

Sequels and franchise films have become the latest obsession in Tollywood, with filmmakers and stars alike betting big on multi-part storytelling. While this formula isn’t new to the industry, the massive success of blockbusters like Baahubali 2 and Pushpa 2 has reignited the trend in recent years.

Joining this growing list is Mega hero Sai Durgha Tej, who recently revealed his interest in doing a sequel to his acclaimed social drama Republic. In a recent media interaction, the actor — who will next be seen in Sambarala Yeti Gattu — shared that director Dev Katta is already developing a script for Republic 2.

The original film, released in 2021, was a hard-hitting socio-political drama that received strong critical acclaim for its honesty and thought-provoking narrative, though it fell short at the box office. Sai Durgha Tej noted that Republic holds immense relevance even today and believes it has the potential to evolve into a meaningful franchise.

He also emphasized that Dev Katta isn’t rushing the process, preferring to craft a powerful concept before taking the sequel to sets. While this announcement has sparked excitement among fans who appreciated the first film’s message, it also comes with challenges. Given that the original struggled commercially, generating fresh anticipation among audiences won’t be easy.

Even recent sequels to moderately successful films have failed to make an impact due to waning audience interest. For Republic 2, the risk is higher — but with Dev Katta’s knack for intense storytelling and impactful characters, a strong script and solid execution could still turn it into a success story.

In short: Republic 2 could be a bold gamble — but if done right, it might just revive the power of meaningful political cinema in Tollywood.

Share

Abhishek Bachchan’s Classy Reply to Filmfare Critic

Share

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, known for his sharp wit and calm composure, recently bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his outstanding performance in ‘I Want To Talk’. He shared the honour with Kartik Aaryan, who won for ‘Chandu Champion’.

However, not everyone was pleased with the decision. A film critic took to social media, alleging that Abhishek had “bought” the award for a film that supposedly went unnoticed. Responding with dignity, Abhishek addressed the criticism head-on through a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“Just to set the record straight. Never has any award been bought or aggressive PR been done by me. Just hard work, blood, sweat and tears,” he wrote.

He added,

“But doubt you’ll believe anything I say or write. So, best way to shut you up is by working even harder so that you don’t ever doubt any achievement that will happen in the future, again. I will prove you wrong! With all due respect and affability.”

His calm yet powerful response won the internet, with fans and fellow celebrities applauding his maturity and integrity. Many praised him for addressing negativity with grace and confidence.

Abhishek’s win for ‘I Want To Talk’ marks an important milestone in his acting journey. Once dismissed as a struggling newcomer in the early 2000s, he has steadily evolved into a seasoned performer who embraces complex, layered roles. His recent choices reflect a performer more focused on substance than stardom — and this Filmfare win only reinforces that transformation.

Rajamouli’s Global Adventure with Mahesh Babu Nears Title Reveal

India’s top filmmaker SS Rajamouli is currently busy shooting his first-ever global action-adventure film, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. The much-anticipated project, tentatively titled #SSMB29 or #GlobeTrotter, has already wrapped up a
couple of key shooting schedules across international locations.

During a recent video chat promoting Baahubali: The Epic, Rajamouli’s Baahubali star Prabhas playfully asked the director about the film’s release date. Rajamouli laughed it off, keeping the suspense alive. Prabhas described the project as “crazy” and “mental,” hinting at an epic cinematic experience, while admitting that even he was eager to know when it would release.

Adding to the fun, Rana Daggubati quipped, “Rajamouli will release the film only when he feels it’s perfect,” to which Rajamouli smilingly replied, “Anthe.”
As of now, the director has not confirmed a release date for this mega project. However, industry buzz suggests that a title teaser is expected next month, with “Varanasi” rumored to be the title currently under consideration.

With Rajamouli’s proven mastery of storytelling and Mahesh Babu’s massive global fan base, the film is already being touted as one of the most ambitious Indian productions ever made.

Trump Rules Out Kim Meeting on SK Visit

Share

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday suggested that a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is unlikely to take place during his two-day visit to South Korea, despite recent speculation about a possible fourth summit between the two leaders.

Speaking at the start of summit talks with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung at the Gyeongju National Museum, Trump said the timing did not align.
“I know Kim Jong-un very well. We get along very well,” Trump said, according to Yonhap News Agency. “We really weren’t able to work out timing.”

Trump arrived in South Korea earlier in the day to attend Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) events and hold bilateral discussions with President Lee. His visit had sparked expectations that he might attempt to revive personal diplomacy with Kim, especially as he has recently expressed openness to resuming talks on North Korea’s nuclear program.

The two leaders previously held three historic meetings — in Singapore (2018), Hanoi (2019), and Panmunjom (2019) — aimed at negotiating denuclearization in exchange for U.S. sanctions relief. Talks ultimately stalled over disagreements on sequencing and verification.

Trump also referenced the unresolved status of the Korean War, which ended in 1953 with a ceasefire, not a peace treaty.
“I know you are officially at war, but we will see what we can do to get that all straightened out,” he said.

He added that future discussions with Pyongyang remain possible, saying, “We’ll have other visits, and we’ll work very hard with Kim Jong-un and with everybody on getting things straightened out.”

Meanwhile, North Korea has not publicly responded to recent diplomatic overtures. Just a day earlier, the North test-fired nuclear-capable cruise missiles, a move analysts say signals little interest in returning to negotiations at this stage.

Short Summary

Trump says no meeting with Kim Jong-un will take place during his South Korea visit, citing scheduling issues, though he maintains openness to future talks. The remarks come amid renewed interest in resuming diplomacy and North Korea’s recent missile tests.
