Andhra Pradesh leader Chandrababu Naidu had a highly productive day in Dubai, engaging in back-to-back business meetings over a span of just 12 hours. From morning to evening, Naidu met top UAE business leaders, addressed the CII Partnership Summit roadshow, and pitched Andhra Pradesh as the next prime destination for global investments in India.

The day kicked off with a ₹100 crore investment announcement by Shobha Group for the Amaravati Library. Naidu met with Ravi Menon, chairman of Shobha Group, who also expressed interest in investing in Andhra Pradesh’s hospitality and tourism sectors in the future.

Following this, Naidu held discussions with several UAE-based industrial giants, inviting them to the CII Partnership Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam. A major highlight was the meeting with Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, who committed to establishing a world-class cancer hospital in Tirupati.

Naidu also engaged with Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan, Chairman of Transworld Group, discussing opportunities in the blue economy of coastal Andhra Pradesh, including port development, ship management, and potential investments in Rambili Industrial Park, Machilipatnam port revamp, and Nellore’s Aerospace Industrial Parks.

Further meetings with H.E. Major Gen. (Retd.) Sharafuddin Sharaf of Sharaf Group and Abdul Nassar Lootah of Lootah Group focused on industrial growth, logistics, and infrastructure, with Naidu highlighting sector-specific policies like the State Logistics and Infrastructure Policy backed by the Industrial Vision 4.O initiative.

The day concluded with a visit to Dubai’s Museum of the Future, where Naidu, along with ministers and senior officials, explored ideas for building a similar knowledge-driven museum in Amaravati.

Naidu emphasized that Andhra Pradesh has “rolled out the red carpet” for investors committed to innovation and inclusive growth, clarifying that the state’s global investment focus extends far beyond Singapore, countering previous criticisms by YCP leaders.

Meanwhile, IT Minister Nara Lokesh is on his maiden Australia visit, successfully persuading top Australian universities to establish campuses and skill centers in Andhra Pradesh. He also played a pivotal role in lifting the seafood export ban, giving a boost to the state’s fishing and aquaculture industries.

Together, Naidu and Lokesh are signaling a new global vision for Andhra Pradesh, showcasing the state as open to investments from every corner of the world and committed to building strong international partnerships for sustained growth.
