Jogi Ramesh Tied to AP Liquor Scam

Share

Former minister and YSR Congress leader Jogi Ramesh faces mounting scrutiny in the ongoing spurious liquor scam in Andhra Pradesh. Despite his public denials and willingness to undergo a lie detector test to prove his innocence, emerging evidence continues to link him to the prime accused, Addepalli Janardhan Rao (A1), who is already in custody.

Recent leaked WhatsApp chats and a viral video show Janardhan Rao claiming that the illicit liquor operation was carried out under Ramesh’s supervision to target the TDP-led coalition government. Adding to the controversy, new photographs showing Ramesh in close proximity to Janardhan Rao and his brother Jagan Mohan Rao at a private event are circulating on social media, strengthening allegations of his association with the accused.

While Ramesh insists that he had minimal interaction with the Addepalli brothers and played no role in the scam, investigators may view the chats, video, and photographs as significant evidence. Political analysts suggest Ramesh could face intense pressure to clarify his ties with the prime accused and prove his claims of innocence.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude Takes a Strong Start

Share

Pradeep Ranganathan continues his winning streak at the box office with his latest release, Dude. The romantic drama, directed by Keerthiswaran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, hit theatres on Friday and opened to positive word of mouth from audiences.

The film had a solid start, grossing around ₹20 crores on Day 1, which is three times higher than his debut hit Love Today and twice that of Dragon. By the end of Saturday, the film’s two-day total reached ₹40 crores, setting it up for a strong Diwali weekend. With Sunday and Monday being holidays, trade analysts expect the film’s momentum to continue.

If Dude crosses the ₹100-crore mark, it will mark Pradeep’s third consecutive century, a rare feat for a young, mid-range Tamil actor outside the superstar league.

Before turning actor, Pradeep Ranganathan made his directorial debut with Comali (2019), starring Jayam Ravi and Kajal Aggarwal, which was both a critical and commercial success. He later made his acting debut with Love Today (2022), which became a blockbuster, followed by Dragon (2025), a coming-of-age drama that also entered the ₹100-crore club.

Dude stars Pradeep Ranganathan, Mamitha Baiju, R. Sarath Kumar, Hridhu Haroon, and others, with music by Sai Abhynkar.

Dude Dominates Diwali Box Office Amid Four-Way Clash

Share

This Diwali witnessed a four-way box office clash with three straight Telugu releases—Mithra Mandali, Telusu Kada, and K-Ramp—alongside the dubbed film Dude. As per early trade reports, Dude has emerged as the frontrunner among all releases, continuing a trend similar to last year when Amaran outperformed Lucky Baskhar and Ka.

In the Nizam region, Dude collected an impressive ₹1.8 crore on Saturday, while Telusu Kada managed ₹1 crore and K-Ramp earned ₹90 lakhs. Notably, K-Ramp has shown a surge in collections since last night and is expected to match Dude’s numbers on Sunday.

While K-Ramp caters primarily to mass audiences in B and C centres, Dude is drawing strong footfalls from Gen-Z viewers and family audiences alike. On the other hand, Telusu Kada and Mithra Mandali are struggling to pick up momentum and may end up as underperformers.

With K-Ramp’s late release intensifying competition in select areas, the Diwali box office race now narrows down to Dude and K-Ramp. A clearer picture of the ultimate winner will emerge once the festive weekend concludes.

Golden Glow Krithi Shetty’s Peaceful Diwali Amid Bollywood Buzz

Share

Krithi Shetty, who recently surprised everyone by walking out of her much-hyped Bollywood debut, seemed completely unbothered this Diwali.

Draped in a rich golden saree that shimmered with every flicker of light, Krithi looked radiant and relaxed. Her blouse featured delicate beadwork, and she paired it with minimal jewellery — just enough sparkle to complement the festive mood. The calm in her photos almost spoke for her: “I’m good where I am.”

Leaving behind the Bollywood chatter, Krithi has her hands full with Tamil projects — Vaa Vaathiyaar, Love Insurance Kompany, and Ginie, all lined up one after another. Each promises a different tone, suggesting that we’ll soon see her exploring a wide range of performances.

For now, she seems to be embracing peace over pressure. Her Diwali pictures radiate warmth — unstaged, genuine, and glowing. Sometimes, that quiet confidence says more than any big movie announcement ever could.

YCP’s Silence on Google’s ₹1.8 Lakh Cr Vizag AI Hub

Share

Andhra Pradesh has just witnessed a landmark moment — Google’s announcement of a massive AI hub in Visakhapatnam, bringing in an investment worth nearly ₹1.8 lakh crore. The project has been widely celebrated by industry experts, economists, and global media as a transformative step for the state and the nation.

However, while the world applauds, the YSR Congress Party (YCP) has chosen a surprisingly different path. Instead of appreciating the historic opportunity this investment brings, YCP leaders seem intent on downplaying the development and twisting the narrative.

Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has not issued a single positive statement about the project. His party’s affiliated media outlets have either ignored the news or subtly sought to undermine it.

Former minister Gudivada Amarnath, in an attempt to justify the party’s stance, claimed that similar efforts were initiated in the past. Yet, even he could not clearly state whether the party supports or opposes this milestone. His remarks about “uncertainty in job creation” only deepened the confusion — making it appear as though the YCP’s main grievance is that the credit went to the current government.

Some YCP spokespersons and social media supporters went a step further, arguing that a data centre is nothing more than a warehouse with limited employment potential. Others even raised environmental concerns, claiming the hub could contribute to pollution and global warming — a narrative starkly at odds with the global perception of such projects as key enablers of digital and green economies.

Meanwhile, international media have hailed the project as a major leap forward for Andhra Pradesh, capable of transforming Visakhapatnam into an AI and data innovation capital. Economists point out that large-scale technology investments of this nature bring widespread benefits — from job creation and skill development to growth in local businesses, real estate, and infrastructure. The case of Hyderabad’s meteoric rise following its IT expansion stands as a proven example.

Yet, despite the optimism, the YCP’s silence and indirect criticism are being viewed as a new low in political conduct. Instead of acting as a constructive opposition and welcoming development that benefits the people, the party seems more concerned about losing political mileage.

In doing so, the YCP once again appears to have chosen politics over public welfare, missing the chance to stand with Andhra Pradesh at a defining moment in its journey toward technological and economic transformation.

Smriti Mandhana to Marry Music Composer Palash Muchchal

Share

Star Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana is all set to tie the knot with noted music composer Palash Muchchal. The long-speculated relationship between the two was finally confirmed when Palash revealed that Smriti would soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore.

For months, rumours about their relationship had circulated as the duo was often spotted together at public events, though neither had spoken about it. However, at a recent press meet, Palash broke his silence, saying, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore. That’s all I want to say for now.”

Meanwhile, Smriti is currently in Indore, leading India’s campaign in the World Cup clash against England. Palash extended his best wishes to Team India, expressing hope for a crucial win to keep their semi-final chances alive.

Suhas The Busy, Unbothered All-Rounder

Share

Suhas seems to be everywhere this year — lead roles, cameos, even a bit of singing. The actor popped up in the Hindi film Jaat, led Uppu Kappurambu alongside Keerthy Suresh, and surprised everyone by lending his voice to Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama. Then came that blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in They Call Him OG. Clearly, he’s been on a roll — and his upcoming lineup looks just as packed.

Right now, Suhas is juggling Cable Reddy, Anandrao Adventures, and a Tamil project titled Mandaadi. Each of them sounds totally different, which fits him perfectly — Suhas has never been one to stick to a single lane. He seems to thrive on jumping between quirky, emotional, and serious roles without worrying about image or labels.

But this Diwali, it wasn’t about films or fame. Suhas shared photos with his wife Lalitha and their two sons, and the pictures looked straight out of a family album — warm, simple, and real. Suhas and the boys in crisp white shirts and dhotis, Lalitha glowing in a yellow saree. No filters, no glamour, just pure smiles and good vibes.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu First Song Meesala Pilla Becomes Chartbuster

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi, has become one of the most anticipated releases in Telugu cinema. The combination of Chiranjeevi’s signature comic timing, unmatched style, and swag with Anil Ravipudi’s family-oriented storytelling has already created a massive buzz among fans.

The film’s first single, “Meesala Pilla”, released recently, has taken the music charts by storm. Within just two days of its release, the song began trending at the top on YouTube Music, surpassing several Pan-India tracks—a remarkable feat for a regional film. The song has now crossed 25 million views, breaking multiple records and solidifying its status as a chartbuster.

Chiranjeevi’s graceful dance moves and vintage comic expressions have resonated even with Gen-Z audiences, proving the timeless appeal of his Mega Grace. The playful chemistry between Chiranjeevi and leading lady Nayanthara, combined with Anil Ravipudi’s simple yet nuanced execution, has elevated the song to an instant favorite.

The music, composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, marks the return of legendary singer Udit Narayan to Telugu cinema after 20 years, lending an added layer of nostalgia for fans. Produced by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is set to hit theatres this Sankranti 2026, promising to be a major festive entertainer.

With its high-voltage music and Chiranjeevi’s unmatched charisma, the film is poised to make a massive impact at the box office and in the hearts of audiences nationwide.

Pawan Kalyan to Continue Hero Roles Alongside Politics

Share

Following the success of They Call Him OG, Pawan Kalyan is set to make another splash on the silver screen with his upcoming project alongside director Harish Shankar. The actor-politician has reportedly decided to continue pursuing lead roles in films while balancing his political responsibilities with the Jana Sena Party.

Earlier speculations suggested that Pawan might reduce his film commitments due to his busy political schedule. However, sources close to the actor confirm that he remains passionate about acting and intends to maintain a strong presence in Telugu cinema. Industry insiders believe this clarity will encourage producers who were waiting for confirmation on his availability for future projects.

Pawan Kalyan’s decision to juggle both cinema and politics reflects his desire to stay connected with audiences through impactful roles while actively contributing to public life. Fans are eagerly anticipating announcements regarding his next big film, looking forward to witnessing his signature mass hero image on screen once again.

Telugu Box Office Diwali 2025: Dude Leads, Mixed Results for Other Releases

Share

This Diwali season, the Telugu film industry witnessed the release of multiple films, including Mitra Mandali, Dude, Telusu Kada, and K Ramp. While audiences flocked to theatres, the box office performance of these films has delivered a mixed outcome.

In terms of openings, Dude emerged as the clear front-runner, drawing a significant portion of the younger demographic to theatres. The film recorded the biggest opening among the new Diwali releases. However, despite its strong start, Dude is struggling to maintain momentum over the weekend, which puts its overall success in question.

Mitra Mandali, the first release of the festive period, turned out to be a disappointment both critically and commercially. The film failed to resonate with audiences, marking a setback for producer Bunny Vas.

Telusu Kada, starring Siddhu, primarily targeted the class audience. The lack of mass appeal was evident, resulting in limited footfall and moderate revenue generation.

K Ramp, the final release of the Diwali period, faced lukewarm critical reception. Nevertheless, the film’s mass comedy elements and strong mass appeal have helped it perform steadily in mass centres across the Telugu states.

In summary, while Dude leads in opening day collections, no film can yet be considered a clear winner of the festive season. The remaining releases struggled to make an impact both in terms of audience engagement and box office revenue. Overall, this Diwali presents a mixed picture for both audiences and film producers in the Telugu industry.
