వెటరన్ నటి ఖుష్బూ గత కొంత కాలంగా బాగా బరువు పెరిగిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. రాజకీయారంగేట్రం అనంతరం ఖుష్బూ ఫిట్ నెస్ పై అంతగా శ్రద్ద చూపలేదు. అప్పటికే ఉన్న బరువుతోనే సెకెండ్ ఇన్నింగ్స్ ప్రారంభించి రాణించే ప్రయత్నం మొదలు పెట్టారు. తెలుగు- తమిళ భాషల్లో చాలా సినిమాల్లో నటించారు. అలాగే రాజకీయాల్లోనూ తనదైన శైలిలో ఇప్పటికీ దూసుకుపోతున్నారు. ఇలా రెండింటిని ఖష్ఫూ కొంత కాలంగా బ్యాలెన్స్ చేస్తూ వచ్చారు. అయితే ఉన్నట్లుండి ఖుష్బూ స్టన్నింగ్ లుక్ లో కనిపించి షాకిచ్చారు. పాత రూపం మాయమైంది. సరికొత్త రూపంతో ఛమక్ మనిపించారు. సన్నజాజి సోయగంలా మారిపోయి మేటి కథానాయికనే తలపిస్తున్నారు.
ఖుష్బూ కొత్త ఫోటో ఒకటి ఇప్పుడు వైరల్ గా మారింది. అందులో ఆమె సన్నజాజి తీగలా కనిపిస్తున్నారు. తాను బాగా బరువు తగ్గినట్లు తానే స్వయంగా చెప్పుకొచ్చారు. ఖుష్బూ హీరోయిన్ గా ఎంట్రీ ఇచ్చిన లుక్ తో ఇప్పుడు మరోసారి మరిపిస్తున్నారు. కొత్త ఫోటోని సోషల్ మీడియా వేదికగా పంచుకుని ` వెయిట్ లాస్ గోల్`..`ఫిట్ నెస్ మోటివేషన్` అని హ్యాష్ ట్యాగ్ లను జోడించారు. ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉండటం కోసం ఎంతో కష్టపడాల్సి వచ్చిందని చెప్పుకొచ్చారు. ఎప్పటికప్పుడు ఫిట్ నెస్ విషయంలో జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకోవాలని..ఆరోగ్యాన్ని కాపాడుకోవాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
ప్రస్తుతం ఈ ఫోటో సోషల్ మీడియాలో వైరల్ గా మారింది. ఖుష్బూ ని ఈ లుక్ లో చూసి అభిమానులంతా స్టన్ అవుతున్నారు. స్టన్నింగ్ లుక్..ఇది ఎలా సాధ్యమైంది ? మేడం అంటూ కామెంట్లు పెడుతున్నారు. అనాటి హీరోయిన్ ని మళ్లీ చూపిస్తున్నారని మురిసిపోతున్నారు. ఇక ఖుష్బూ సినిమాల విషయానికి వస్తే సూపర్ స్టార్ రజనీకాంత్ నటిస్తోన్న `అన్నాథే`లో కీలక పాత్రలో నటిస్తున్నారు. అలాగే శర్వానంద్ హీరోగా తెరకెక్కుతున్న `ఆడవాళ్లు మీకు జోహార్లు`లో కూడా నటిస్తున్నారు.
State logs 2,145 Covid cases in 24 hrs, one fifth from EG
VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh logged 2,145 new Covid cases from more than 82,000 samples tested in the past 24 hours ending Thursday 9 am with a positivity rate of 2.6 per cent, taking the overall infections past 19.76 lakh. The fresh cases were higher than the recoveries, leading to a spike in active cases. The total number of samples tested in the State have crossed 2.49 crore.
According to the media bulletin released by the State Command Control Room, East Godavari reported the highest of 428 new infections followed by 369 in Chittoor and 304 in Nellore. All the other districts reported less than 300 new infections while five districts reported less than 100 cases with the lowest of 28 in Vizianagaram.
The overall infections in East Godavari district went past 2.79 lakh, the highest among the 13 districts. Another 2,003 patients recovered from the virus, taking the overall recoveries to more than 19.42 lakh. The caseload marginally increased and touched 20,302 as against Wednesday’s 20,184. East Godavari district has the highest of 3,334 active cases while six districts have less than 1,000 active cases with the lowest of 180 in Vizianagaram. Eight districts have reported an increase in active cases when compared to Wednesday.
The fatalities reported in the 24 hours span were also higher when compared to the previous 24 hours ending Wednesday 9 am. A total of 24 persons succumbed to the virus as against 16 on Wednesday, taking the overall deaths to 13,468. Prakasam reported the highest of five fatalities followed by four each in Chittoor and Krishna, three each in Kadapa and West Godavari, two in East Godavari and one each in Anantapur, Guntur and Visakhapatnam.

After Tuck Jagadish, Another Telugu Biggie Locking OTT Release?
It is all but confirmed that Nani’s Tuck Jagadish will be riding the OTT wave. Multiple reports are claiming that the film’s direct to digital rights are bagged by Amazon Prime Video. It is heard that Amazon Prime had paid as much as Rs 37 crores for the direct OTT rights of Tuck Jagadish. An official announcement in this regard is awaited though. Neither Amazon Prime, nor the makers of Tuck Jagadish have officially announced that the film will be releasing directly on OTT and skip theatrical release.
If the latest reports are to be believed, the makers of Gopichand’s Seetimarr are also in talks with a couple of OTT platforms now. They are negotiating the right price for the film’s direct OTT rights and the film will be announced for digital premieres once they receive a feasible bid from an OTT platform. Seetimarr had wrapped up shoot a long while back and it is the final leg of post-production. The makers aim to announce the digital premieres date as soon as the deal is finalized.
Seetimarr is a sports drama based on the sport of Kabaddi. The film features Gopichand and Tamannaah in the lead roles and it is directed by Sampath Nandi. The makers were initially persistent on theatrical release but they had to explore the OTT option after the unfavorable conditions for new releases in Andhra Pradesh. The maker then immediately got in touch with a few OTT platforms and are presently in discussions with a few potential suitors. They intend to finalize the deal very soon.
If the makers strike an OTT deal, Seetimarr will be made available for streaming as early as this September. It is heard that more details about the film’s OTT release will be out in the next few days. It appears to be that Tuck Jagadish is opening the flood gates for new OTT releases in Tollywood. Several other films like Virata Parvam, Love Story, and Most Eligible Bachelor are also contemplating OTT release now. We can expect a few more films to lock OTT release in the next few weeks and more details will be out correspondingly.

నేచురల్ స్టార్ నాని మొదటి సినిమా నుంచే నిర్మాతల హీరోగా మారిపోయాడు. ఎలాంటి సినిమా అయినా మినిమమ్ కలెక్షన్స్ వసూలు చేస్తుండటంతో నాని మార్కెట్ కూడా అమాంతం పెరిగిపోయింది. అయితే గతేడాది కరోనా ఫస్ట్ వేవ్ లాక్ డౌన్ పరిస్థితుల్లో ‘వి’ చిత్రాన్ని డైరెక్ట్ ఓటీటీ రిలీజ్ చేయాల్సి వచ్చింది. అప్పటికే చాలా ఆలస్యం అవడంతో నిర్మాతల శ్రేయస్సు కోరి డిజిటల్ విడుదలకు నాని అంగీకరించారు. ఈ క్రమంలో ఇప్పుడు ”టక్ జగదీష్” సినిమా కూడా ఓటీటీలో రిలీజ్ అయ్యే పరిస్థితులు వచ్చి పడ్డాయి.
నాని హీరోగా శివ నిర్వాణ దర్శకత్వం వహించిన సినిమా ”టక్ జగదీష్”. ‘నిన్ను కోరి’ వంటి సూపర్ హిట్ సినిమా తర్వాత వీరిద్దరి కాంబోలో వస్తున్న సినిమా కావడంతో అందరూ మంచి అంచనాలు పెట్టుకున్నారు. అయితే ఏప్రిల్ 23న రిలీజ్ అవ్వాల్సిన ఈ చిత్రం కోవిడ్ సెకండ్ వేవ్ నేపథ్యంలో పోస్ట్ పోన్ అయింది. ఈ క్రమంలో నాని మూవీని ఓటీటీ వేదికగా ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు తీసుకురానున్నట్లు అనేక కథనాలు వచ్చాయి. నాని అండ్ టీమ్ మాత్రం వాటిని ఖండిస్తూ ఎట్టి పరిస్థితుల్లోనూ థియేటర్లలోనే వస్తామని చెబుతూ వచ్చారు.
ఇప్పుడిప్పుడే థియేటర్లు తెరుచుకుంటున్నా ఇండస్ట్రీలో పరిస్థితులు మాత్రం ఇంకా సాధారణ స్థితికి రాలేదు. కరోనా థర్డ్ వేవ్ భయంతో జనాలు సినిమా హాళ్లకు రావడానికి ఆలోచిస్తున్నట్లు ఈ మధ్య రిలీజ్ అయిన చిత్రాలకు వచ్చిన రెస్పాన్స్ ని బట్టి అర్థం చేసుకోవచ్చు. దీనికి తోడు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లో టికెట్ ధరలు మరియు నైట్ కర్ఫ్యూలు కూడా ప్రతికూల అంశాలుగా మారాయి. ఇలాంటి పరిస్థితుల్లో నాని మరియు మేకర్స్ కలిసి కఠిన నిర్ణయం తీసుకోవాల్సి వచ్చింది. ఇన్నాళ్లు ఓపిక పడుతూ వచ్చిన ‘టక్ జగదీష్’ సినిమాను ఓటిటికి ఇవ్వడానికి నిర్మాతలు రెడీ అయ్యారని తెలుస్తోంది.
ప్రముఖ ఓటీటీ ఫ్లాట్ ఫార్మ్ అమెజాన్ ప్రైమ్ వీడియోతో ‘టక్ జగదీష్’ 37 కోట్లకు బేరం కుదుర్చుకున్నట్లు ప్రచారం జరుగుతోంది. ఇప్పటికే ఓటీటీ అగ్రిమెంట్ కూడా అయిందని టాక్ నడుస్తున్నా.. మనకందిన సమాచారం ప్రకారం డీల్ ఇంకా మాటల్లోనే ఉందని.. పేపర్ మీదకు రాలేదని తెలుస్తోంది. కాకపోతే పరిస్థితులను బట్టి మేకర్స్ ఓటీటీకే మొగ్గు చూపుతున్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. థియేటర్ లోనే తన సినిమాను రిలీజ్ చేయాలని ఇప్పటి వరకు ఎదురు చూసిన హీరో నాని.. ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితులు నిర్మాతల ఆర్థికపరమైన అంశాల దృష్ట్యా ‘టక్ జగదీష్’ చిత్రాన్ని ఓటీటీ రిలీజ్ చేయడానికి అంగీకరించారని టాక్.
సినిమా విడుదల లేట్ అయితే ఏ నిర్మాతకైనా వడ్డీల భారం పడుతూ ఉంటుంది. అలాంటి పరిస్థితుల్లో ప్రొడ్యూసర్స్ సపోర్ట్ గా ఉండటం హీరోల నైతిక బాధ్యత. ఇప్పుడు నాని కూడా తన సినిమాని థియేటర్లలోనే ప్రేక్షకులకు చూపించాలని ఉన్నప్పటికీ.. నైతిక బాధ్యతతోనే అలాంటి నిర్ణయం మద్దతు తెలిపి ఉంటారు. ఏదేమైనా ‘టక్ జగదీష్’ సినిమా విడుదల వేదికపై క్లారిటీ రావాలంటే అధికారిక ప్రకటన వచ్చే వరకు ఆగాల్సిందే.
కాగా ఫ్యామిలీ అండ్ యాక్షన్ ఎంటర్టైనర్ గా రూపొందుతున్న ‘టక్ జగదీష్’ చిత్రంలో నాని సరసన రీతూ వర్మ – ఐశ్వర్యా రాజేశ్ హీరోయిన్ లుగా నటించారు. జగపతి బాబు – నాజర్ – డేనియల్ బాలాజీ – ప్రియదర్శి – తిరువీర్ – రోహిణి – ప్రవీణ్ తదితరులు ఇతర పాత్రలు పోషించారు. థమన్ ఈ చిత్రానికి సంగీతం సమకూర్చారు. ప్రసాద్ మూరెళ్ల సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ అందించగా.. ప్రవీణ్ పూడి ఎడిటింగ్ వర్క్ చేశారు. షైన్ స్క్రీన్స్ బ్యానర్ పై సాహు గారపాటి – హరీష్ పెద్ది ఈ చిత్రాన్ని నిర్మించారు.
Children turned orphans due to Covid to get health insurance
The novel Coronavirus had a deadly impact on India severely affecting the economy of the country. Over four lakh people have lost their lives to the virus.
As a dangerous effect of Covid, a lot of children became orphans and lost their loved ones with their parents or guardians breathing their last fighting the respiratory disease.
To lend a helping hand to children who lost their parents to Covid, the union government announced Free Health Insurance for those children.
As per the scheme, children who are below the age group of 18 will be given health insurance worth Rs 5 lakh each. The amount that has to be paid as the premium will be paid from the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) Fund.
Union Cabinet Minister Anurag Thakur said, the decision was taken as part of the measures taken by the government to take care of these children.
Elaborating further, the Union Minister said that the children will be provided with stipend every month till they attain the age of 18. Once they turn 23, each student will be given Rs 10 lakh.
However, the stipend will be given to those kids who have lost either their parents or guardians..
After knowing that several children became orphans due to the Covid pandemic, the union government launched the PM CARES for Children Scheme in 2021 with an intention to provide support to the children who are going through trauma of losing their parents or guardians.
As a welcome move, the state governments are also doing their bit to support these kids in their respective states.
Several states have announced schemes that provide education facilities to these victims while they will also be given stipends monthly.
States like Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and others have launched such schemes.
Going by a survey conducted by a National Commission, the ongoing pandemic has left more than 30,000 children as orphans.
Losing parents or guardians at a young age would leave a toll on their mental health condition. That is the reason why a few NGOs have appealed to the governments to take measures on this.
Sri Lanka decides against enforcing nationwide lockdown amid surging Covid cases
COLOMBO: Sri Lanka on Friday decided not to enforce a nationwide lockdown despite a surge in the number of coronavirus cases to reduce the negative impact on the country’s economy but announced restrictions in some sectors to check the spread of the deadly virus.
The decisions were taken following a high-level meeting between President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Army chief General Shavendra Silva, head of the National Center for Covid Prevention.
At the meeting, it was decided to reverse some of the relaxation steps announced recently and not to enforce a nationwide lockdown.
According to a report in Colombo Gazette, the government has so far been keen not to enforce a lockdown as that could have further impact on the economy, already hit by the pandemic.
There have been persistent calls for a nationwide lockdown as the number of people infected by the coronavirus saw a rapid increase and daily deaths reached record levels, the report said.
It was decided that all state functions will be postponed till September 1 and the circular which made it mandatory for all public servants to return to work by August 2 has also been amended.
Accordingly, the heads of the institutions must decide which staff are required to be in attendance, Silva said.
The number of people attending weddings and funerals also have been tightened to further restrict the numbers.
Health officials had raised alarm over the fast escalating numbers of infections and deaths in the country.
Dr Chandima Jeewandara of the University of Sri Jayewardenapura here said that 75 per cent of the new infections detected in the western province were carrying the delta variant.
At least six main hospitals have exceeded their COVID treatment capacity with their covid wards overflowing.
Patients languish on corridors and outside of wards.
Nearly 20,000 new cases have been found over the last 8 days, health officials said.
A record number of 94 deaths in a single day were registered on Thursday.
There have been nearly 600 deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 11 days.
The new measures came as the Association of Medical Specialists had warned that the health sector’s capacity to treat the growing number of patients has virtually reached its tipping point.
It was only a matter of days till the demand for oxygen exceeded supply, they said.
According to the Johns Hopkins University coronavirus data, Sri Lanka has recorded 321,429 COVID-19 cases and 4,821 deaths.
