TRS chief, Telangana Chief Minister KCR had earlier announced the Dalit Bandhu scheme in the light of the forthcoming Huzurabad by-elections. The scheme focuses on empowering the SC, ST, and other communities. The announcement of the scheme ahead of the by-poll led to the opposition parties making a fuss.
KCR hit back at the critics and opposition parties and questioned why it is wrong to get political gains. The Chief Minister had dubbed the Dalit Bandhu scheme as a movement to empower the Dalit community across the state.
When the opposition parties are targeting the ruling TRS, CM KCR has surprised everyone by hinting that he is in plans to launch two more schemes in the coming days.
Ex-Minister E Peddi Reddy had joined the TRS the other day in the presence of KCR. The Chief Minister who addressed the meeting said that in the future, he would launch two more welfare schemes.
Elaborating further on the welfare schemes implemented by the TRS government, KCR said that the Kalyana Lakshmi welfare scheme is not implemented in any other state like Telangana is doing. To bring down the struggles faced by pregnant women, the government launched KCR KITS. After the scheme was launched, the delivery percentage in state-run hospitals has gone to 60 percent, he said.
The recently announced Dalit Bandhu scheme had made the opposition parties go crazy. I have two more welfare schemes. Once the schemes were announced, things would turn difficult for the opposition parties, he maintained.
With his statements, KCR gave a strong message that irrespective of the fight by the opposition parties, he will go ahead with the implementation of the welfare schemes.
Implementing welfare schemes had earlier done wonders to the TRS in the previous elections. Prior to the 2018 general elections, TRS launched its flagship ‘Rythu Bandhu’ scheme, and the party recorded a resounding victory in the elections. The party had won three fourth majority.
The scheme aims at lending financial assistance to the farmers in the state. Through the scheme, the farmers will get crop investment from the state government. The beneficiaries will be provided Rs 5,000 per acre.
