Former Cricketer, Member Of 1983 World Cup Squad Passes Away
Legendary player, who was part of Indian National Cricket team that lifted the maiden World Cup for the country in 1983, Yashpal Sharma passed away on Tuesday at his residence.
The 66-year-old lost his life due to cardiac arrest. Yashpal Sharma is survived by his spouse, two daughters and a son.It is said that the legendary player collapsed at his residence shortly after coming back from morning walk.
The middle order batsman played his role in the 1983 World Cup.His half-century against the mighty England in the semifinal is fondly remembered by the cricket fans. The way he had sent Bob Willis for a maximum in the semifinal still remains special for the fans.
The Punjab batsman was born in 1954 on August 11 in Ludhiana. He made it to the Indian team during the late 70’s and was a part of the team during the 80’s too.
During his illustrious career, Yashpal Sharma represented India in 37 Tests and 42 ODIs and scored 1,606 and 883 runs respectively.
The cricket fraternity is mourning the death of the veteran player. Players like Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and others are sending their condolences to the player’s family members.
His fellow teammates of the 1983 squad are still in shock of losing Sharma. The members of the team had met recently for a book launch that was held in New Delhi.
Yashpal Sharma served as a National Selector for India during the early 2000s and was an umpire too.
He played for the Ranjis too. In his Ranji career, Yashpal Sharma played for Punjab, Haryana and Railways.
Sai Madhav Burra on board for Shankar-Ram Charan’s film
Top director Shankar and Mega Powerstar Ram Charan are collaborating on a new project tentatively titled RC15. The film, which is currently in the pre-production stage, marks Dil Raju’s 50th production venture.
While fans are eagerly waiting for updates of #RC15, here is a piece of exciting news that star writer Sai Madhav Burra has come on board for the Shankar directorial. The ace writer, who is also penning the dialogues for SS Rajamouli starrer RRR, will work on RC15, taking responsibility for dialogues.
Ram Charan, who is currently shooting for RRR, will soon begin shooting for Shankar’s film. Tentatively titled RC15, the film will see Kiara Advani as the leading lady, if reports are believed. #RC15 is expected to go on floors in September and the makers are keen to wrap up the film by 2022.

Telangana: Cabinet nod to fill 50,000 government job posts likely on Tuesday
HYDERABAD: In what might be the second biggest job recruitment drive after the formation of Telangana in 2014, the State Cabinet is likely to give its nod to fill around 50,000 posts in various government departments on Tuesday.
Principal Secretary (Finance) K Ramakrishna Rao held meetings with over 30 departments on Saturday and Sunday to arrive at the accurate number of vacancies in their respective departments. The Finance Department has to ratify each and every new post that will be filled by the government.
Vacant positions will be furnished to the State Cabinet, which will meet on Tuesday. Once the Cabinet gives its nod for the recruitment of vacant posts, the TS Public Service Commission, or other recruitment agencies will release notifications in phases.
The State government claimed that in the past, it had filled 1.3 lakh jobs in the government sector, which include the RTC, Singareni and others from 2014. Vacancies identified by the Finance Department will be filled up in the first phase. In the second phase, the vacancies created after promoting government employees will be filled up.
However, there is no clarity if the government will also fill up Group-1 posts. Since the formation of the State, no notification was issued to fill Group-1 posts. The State government recently created seven zones and two multi-zones. In the new zonal system, 95 per cent of the posts are reserved for the local youths.
Besides recruitment, the State Cabinet will also discuss Covid-19, agriculture, irrigation and other subjects.

Prabhas’s assurance to the makers of Salaar
Prabhas is presently busy with Radhe Shyam which is in final leg of shoot. He plans to wrap up this project at the earliest and then move onto Salaar and Adipurush.
As per latest reports, Prabhas has assured the makers of Salaar that he will be joining the sets of the Prashanth Neel directorial early next month.
Prabhas intends to join Salaar shoot next month and wrap up a heavy-duty action sequence that is being planned at a specially assembled set in Mysore. The lead cast will take part in this schedule.
Prabhas will start shooting for Adipurush only after completing the second schedule of Salaar. Meanwhile, the Adipurush unit is canning a few solo scenes featuring Kriti Sanon and Saif Alia Khan.
Prabhas might join Adipurush shoot only by the end of August or early September. He plans to wrap up both Salaar and Adipurush by the end of this year and then kickstart his long-delayed sci-fi thriller with Nag Ashwin.

TRS alone has Telangana’s interests at heart: MAUD minister KT Rama Rao
HYDERABAD: TRS working president and IT Minister KT Rama Rao said TRS was the only party which had a single stand on any issue relating to the State, especially river water disputes. Other national parties would have two versions on each and every issue pertaining to Telangana, he said.
Addressing a gathering at Telangana Bhavan on Monday after admitting Corporators and Councillors and MPTCs from other parties belonging to Medchal district into the TRS, Rama Rao said that for TRS, Telangana was the only state. But, for the Congress and the BJP, Telangana was one among 29 states.
Rama Rao said that the TRS had not only achieved separate state under the leadership of K Chandrasekhar Rao but had ensured development and rapid progress in the last seven years. “The TRS government will support every poor person in the state. The government will continue developmental works despite the pandemic situation,” he stated.
In a veiled attack on Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy, Rama Rao said some leaders who had recently bagged posts, were like a monkey with a coconut. But, for the people of Telangana KCR was the only leader.
The TRS had been winning all elections, Rama Rao said. Since KCR was the only protector of the interests of Telangana, leaders from other parties too were joining the TRS, he pointed out. Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy and others were present.
Inside Story: When and why did Acharya become a multi-starrer.?
Acharya, starring Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in the lead roles is one of the most awaited Telugu films of the year. This is the first time Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are actually sharing the screen space, playing full-length roles. This has catapulted the buzz surrounding the film to a whole new level.
But Acharya wasn’t always a genuine multi-starrer. At first, Koratala Siva wrote a guest role with an intention of roping in Mahesh Babu for it. Mahesh liked the script and came on board. But then came the twist in the tale.

Manda Krishna Madiga bats for inquiry into Kathi Mahesh’s death
Tollywood actor- director Kathi Mahesh known for his film reviews passed away on Saturday at the Chennai facility of Apollo hospitals undergoing treatment for his injuries, he sustained after the car he was travelling hit a container truck near Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.
Reacting to the demise of Kathi Mahesh, Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti President Manda Krishna Madiga raised several doubts and demanded an inquiry in the case.
Speaking to the media, Manda Krishna said the inquiry should be done either by an honest police officer or a sitting judge on Kathi Mahesh’s death.
Manda Krishna alleged a conspiracy behind Kathi Mahesh’s death and said, he has a lot of enemies in two Telugu States given the comments and statements he made on a lot of issues.
He also raised a doubt of why the driver didn’t sustain any injuries in the mishap despite the car being damaged more on the right side, where the driver seats.
Manda Krishna opined that there are a lot of doubts and questions since the day he met with an accident near Nellore and shifted to Chennai for treatment. He stressed the media bulletin released a couple of days before his death and asked what happened in two days.Doctors said, his health condition is ok and he was doing good, but he was declared dead after two days, Manda Krishna maintained.
Manda Krishna demanded that the details of the treatment offered to Kathi Mahesh should be made public.Doctors said, his health condition was serious just minutes before his death. After five minutes, he was declared dead. Was there any conspiracy behind this, he asked.
He made these comments while addressing the media after attending the funeral of Kathi Mahesh that was held in Yalamanda of Chittoor district, his native place.
He met with an accident on June 26 near Nellore district.He was shifted to a nearby hospital and then shifted to Chennai Apollo hospitals for a better treatment.He breathed his last undergoing treatment.
Kathi Mahesh was controversy’s favourite child.He was banned from entering Hyderabad for a period of six months earlier in 2018 on the grounds of hurting religious sentiments.The Telangana Police shifted him to his native place from Hyderabad.
