Film industry is a cruel place to survive, says Ileana
Having made her debut in the 2006 film Devadasu, actress Ileana D’Cruz has made her mark in Tollywood. In her over a decade long film career, the actress has seen many ups and downs and is continuing to create her mark in Bollywood films as well.
In her latest interaction with a popular English daily, the actress says everything comes down to people and, as an artist, one just desires the audience to enjoy watching you.
Ileana explains popularity is the one thing that balances the fact that the film industry can be a very cruel place to survive.
“The film industry is brutal, of course, but it comes down to people. If they (people) like you that is all you need. You just want people to like watching you,” she told IANS.
She feels the time an actor is not acknowledged they lose the mark. She also feels the industry has got so many perks as well.
On the work front, Ileana will next be featured in “Unfair N Lovely” opposite Randeep Hooda.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a fresh attack against the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi over the Covid situations in the country and accused the Union Government of not taking the timely situations to tackle the virus spread.
The Wayanad MP said, not having a strategy to vaccinate the public is a big problem for India. Taking a dig at Narendra Modi, the Gandhi scion called him an event manager, who can think of one event at a time.
He addressed the media through video conferencing and lashed out at the centre for not having a strategy. Saying that we need a strategy, the former Congress chief said, delaying the vaccination could make the virus more dangerous.
Rahul Gandhi took a dig at External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar for following vaccine diplomacy, by supplying a major share of vaccines to other countries and not giving importance to vaccinating Indians.
The MP attributed the vaccine supply to foreign countries to the fewer vaccination numbers in the country and said, as a result, a mere three percent of the population in the country were vaccinated, while the remaining population is yet to be vaccinated.
Rahul Gandhi held Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible for the deadly second wave of Covid in the country due to his untimely decisions. Going by the current pace of vaccination drive, it could take three years to vaccinate the entire population.
“I am saying that the second wave is Prime Ministers’ responsibility. The nautanki PM did, and not fulfilled his responsibility is the reason behind the second wave. If the vaccination keeps on going like this then the vaccination of the whole country will be complete by May 2024,” the Gandhi scion said.
Prabhas is all praises for Pooja Hegde’s work
South siren Pooja Hegde, who has been busy with multiple big projects, has teamed up with Prabhas for his upcoming Pan-India film Radhe Shyam. The film is a period romantic drama where the actress will be seen in the role of Prerna while Prabhas plays the role of Vikramaditya.
The Baahubali star, along with a few other team members, recently watched a copy of Radhe Shyam, and he was impressed with Pooja’s work. As per reports, the actor kept praising the actress after watching her brilliant performance.
“He was just praising her, talking about how spectacular her performance was and how well her scenes had turned out,” reports said.
The shooting of Radhe Shyam is on the verge of completion with just a song left to be shot. The pending song will be canned once the lockdown restrictions are lifted by the government. Notably, the Radha Krishna Kumar’s directorial is expected to be the biggest film to hit the big screens post the lockdown.
