Telangana government to present Budget on March 18, session to continue till March 26
HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has decided to hold the budget session till March 26 (for 10 days). A decision to this effect was taken by the Assembly Business Advisory Committee (BAC) which met here on Monday after the Governor’s Address in Assembly.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao did not attend the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and was attended by Minister for Legislative Affairs, Vemula Prashant Reddy, Finance Minister, T Harish Rao, Agriculture Minister Singireddy Nirajan Reddy, Social Welfare Minister, Koppula Eshwar, Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar, Congress Legislature Party leader, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and MIM representative Ahmed Pasha Quadri.
Condolences will be extended over the deaths of members on Tuesday including Nomula Narsimhaiah, Gunda Mallesh, Nayini Narasimha Reddy, K Ram Reddy, K Madhusudan Rao, Katta Venkatanarsaiah, D Srinivasa Rao, Chengal Baganna and K Veera Reddy.
On March 17, there will be a discussion of Motion of Thanks on the Governor’s Address and reply by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to the discussion.
On March 18, Finance Minister T Harish Rao will present the annual financial statement (Budget) for the year 2021-22. There will be a general discussion on the Budget on March 20 and 22. There will also be a reply to the general discussion on the Budget.
Voting of demands for grants for 2021-22 on Housing, Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Backward Classes Welfare, Minority Welfare, Women, Child and Disabled Welfare, Revenue, Registration and Relief, Excise Administration, Commercial Taxes Administration, Transport Administration, Home Administration, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Cooperation and Civil Supplies Administration will be placed on March 23. Government bills will also be placed on the same day.
On March 24, voting will be held on various government bills and on the demands of grants for School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education, Sports and Youth Services, Medical and Health, Labour and Employment, Administration of Religious Endowments, Forest, Science, Technology and Environment, Industries and Commerce, Tourism, Art and Culture, Information Technology and Communication, Public Affairs departments.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Roads and Buildings, Major and Medium Irrigation, Minor Irrigation, Energy, State Legislature, Governor and Council of Ministers, Administration of Justice, General Administration and Elections, Fiscal Administration, Planning, Surveys and Statistics, Information and Public Relations and government bills will be introduced on March 25.
There will be a discussion on Telangana Appropriation (No.1) Bill 2021 and Telangana Appropriation (No.2) Bill 2021 and placing of bills on March 26. There will be no sittings on March 19 and 21.
Prabhas to grace the pre-release event of Gopichand’s Seetimaarr?
Gopichand’s upcoming film ‘Seetimaarr‘ is all set to hit worldwide theatres on April 2nd, 2021. The sports-drama is directed by ‘Goutham Nanda’ fame Sampath Nandi.
The latest buzz is that Baahubali star Prabhas will attend the pre-release event of Seetimaarr in Hyderabad. The makers of the film are in talks with the Saaho actor for the same.
If Prabhas gives a nod for the event, then it will be a huge and crowd-pulling event in Tollywood. The pre-release event is scheduled for March 28 in Hyderabad. We know Prabhas is a good friend of Gopichand. So, there are high possibilities that the Pan-India actor attending the event as a chief guest.
Billed to be a sports-drama, Gopichand will be playing the coach of the Andhra Kabaddi team in ‘Seetimaarr’. Tamannaah Bhatia is playing the female lead. While Mani Sharma is composing the music, Soundar Rajan is acting as the cinematographer. The film is bankrolled by Srinivasaa Silver Screen.

KTR is a Shadow CM who is heading every dept: G Kishan Reddy
HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy said on Sunday that IT Minister KT Rama Rao has been acting as a “Shadow Chief Minister” commanding every department in the State. Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Kishan said that the TRS was trying to win the elections by propagating false information.
He said, “They are alleging that PM Narendra Modi will sell off the State governments. People know better. However, KCR’s family is behaving as if it has purchased the State of Telangana.” Accusing the TRS of not delivering on its poll promises, he said, “If the TRS government makes allegations against the Centre, without fulfilling its promises to the people, we will not sit back and watch silently. BJP has not begun its A game yet in the State.”
Action on Bhainsa
Taking about the communal riots in Bhainsa, Kishan said that action will be initiated after obtaining a report from the Director General of Police and Chief Secretary on the incident. He alleged that the AIMIM was inciting communal tensions with the help of the ruling TRS.
Miheeka Brought Calmness To My Life: Rana Daggubati
After a brief gap, Rana Daggubati is back in the limelight again. His trilingual film ‘Aranya’ is all set to hit the screens on 26th March. It is an interesting film that deals the concept of “Nature Vs Urban People”. Rana is promoting this film by giving interviews over the last couple of days.
In one of those chat sessions, he revealed how marriage changed his life in a positive way. He said, “It’s a great thing to be settled. I no longer take my work home. There’s a certain work-life balance that has come in with marriage. I would take some of my characters home because they were so complex. My wife’s presence has added calmness to my life. I no longer take the madness of my work home with me.” As we know, Rana got married to Mumbai-based entrepreneur Miheeka Bajaj in August of 2020. The couple were in love before the marriage and they tied the knot in the presence of their family members.
On the work front, Rana recently started doing his hit television show ‘No.1 Yaari’ and his intense love drama ‘VIrataparvam’ directed by Venu Udugula will be releasing in April.
It’s time for Sharwanand to change his promotional strategies!
Besides having incredible acting skills, Tollywood’s young actor Sharwanand has been failing to make a big noise at the box office lately. Be it Padi Padi Leche Manasu, Ranarangam or Jaanu, the last three films of the promising actor were ended as duds.
Amid high expectations, his latest film ‘Sreekaram‘ was released on March 11. Despite getting a positive talk from the audience, the film has been battling to collect some big numbers at the box office. Although it opened with decent collections on Day 1, we can certainly see the drop in the collections in the next three days.
When compared to small budget films, which were released on the same day, the Sreekaram team has surely failed to create enough buzz among the audience. Apparently, Sharwanand’s marketing levels are a bit old-fashioned and that is why Sreekaram is struggling on the big screens.
It looks like the actor has not taken care of his film and ignored to plan promotional activities skillfully. Bringing celebrities like Chiranjeevi and KTR alone cannot help the team to sell the film to the audience.
Needless to say, planning promotions even before two weeks of release plays a key role in creating a fair deal of buzz among the people. Here, Sharwa has disappointed in coming up with innovative ideas. When it comes to spreading the positivity about the film with interviews and press meets or stepping out for success tours, Sharwa is undoubtedly a step behind in doing all these.
Apart from Sharwanand, his PR team also failed to come up with new strategies and went forward bluntly. Seems like the actor’s PR team is not handling his projects properly.
No matter how good the film may be, only the word-of-mouth will not make people throng into theatres. Hope Sharwanand realises his mistake and changes his gears from now on.

No effect of Steel Plant agitation on Vizag polls
The TDP plans to whip up anti-YSRCP mood in the name of Visakha Steel Plant seem to have fallen flat. The YSRCP has registered a very impressive victory. In all the areas that are close to the Vizag Steel Plant, the TDP was routed. The TDP could salvage some prestige only in the wards from the outskirts region.
The TDP had launched a massive campaign against the YSRCP saying that chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had met the representatives from Posco company, which is now planning to take over the steel plant. The party also tried to show the YSRCP as a party that has agreed to the sellout. However, in all the wards that abut the steel plant, the YSRCP did exceedingly well. The YSRCP had won 55 seats, while the TDP had won 29, Jana Sena four and others six.
Total political inactivity of key TDP MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao is said to be one of the main reasons for the TDP rout.Over all, it became clear that the issue of steel plant privatization had no impact over the electoral outcome. The YSRCP had won a clear victory.
Gunasekhar-Samantha’s ‘Shaakunthalam’ Gets Officially Launched!
After a long gap, senior director Gunasekhar is handling the megaphone again. Post ‘Rudhramadevi’, he is coming with another female-oriented mythological script. He is making a film on Shakunthala Devi from Mahabharata period. The project was announced a couple of months back.
Star heroine Samantha Akkineni has been roped in for the lead role and the film was officially launched a while. The pooja ceremony for this big-budget film was held in a private studio in Hyderabad. Producers Dil Raju and Allu Aravind graced the event while Samantha looked absolutely gorgeous in a special saree.

Delimitation order must be amended: Marri to ECI
HYDERABAD: Senior Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy, on Sunday, demanded that the ECI initiate steps to amend the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008, and issue “constitutionally and legally” valid notifications separately for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. “The illegal notification dated September 22, 2018, must be replaced. The ECI has no power to delimit any constituency on a territorial basis. It failed to understand that just as rules do not override an Act, the provisions of an Act cannot override Constitutional provisions,” he said.
