A lot has been said about KTR becoming the Chief Minister of the state of Telangana, as KCR’s health has not been the best in the recent months.
Several party members have also expressed their wish in seeing KTR take up duties as the Chief Minister very soon. However, this may not turn to be reality any time soon, because of the recent developments.
According to the latest reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to go ahead for simultaneous elections to the Parliament and the state assemblies in the second half of 2022.
This would mean that the TRS should be extra careful to make sure that they keep their power for the third time in a row, in Telangana. And especially after the way the BJP has been trying to strengthen its base in the state, KCR is said to be reluctant to give the power to KTR right now.
KTR would not have enough time to tackle the BJP’s tactics, if he were made the CM any time soon. It would be a huge risk to let KTR be the CM during a very crucial time, which is why KCR has reportedly decided to continue as the Chief Minister until these elections are done in the second half of 2022.
There are possibilities of KTR becoming the Chief Minister, if the Telangana Rashtra Samithi manages to come into power for a third time, after the 2022 general elections.
Initially, it was speculated that KTR would be made the Chief Minister after KCR performed a Maha Yaagam at Yadadri, and this was supposed to take place within the next one month or two, but things have now taken a totally different turn.

JANGAON: Warangal Police Commissioner P Pramod Kumar on Wednesday directed West Zone DCP B Srinivas Reddy to conduct an inquiry into the lathicharge on BJP activists by Inspector D Mallesh Yadav. Pramod Kumar instructed the DCP to take action against Mallesh Yadav and other police personnel if they are indeed at fault.
