Now, however, discussions about a Chiranjeevi-Puri collaboration have resurfaced. Puri’s latest film with Vijay Sethupathi is performing well at the box office, and if it continues to succeed, it could pave the way for him to finally team up with Chiranjeevi. Reports suggest that Chiranjeevi has also given a positive signal, with both sides engaging in phone conversations to discuss possibilities.

According to sources, Chiranjeevi joked with Puri, asking why he couldn’t write a story suited for him, similar to how Bollywood directors work with Amitabh Bachchan. Puri reportedly responded that crafting a script that matches Chiranjeevi’s image would take time—potentially six months—and he would only proceed once he was confident of delivering a hit.

The success of Puri’s Vijay Sethupathi film is thus seen as a crucial factor. If it turns out to be a blockbuster, it could attract several other stars, including Balakrishna, Venkatesh, and Nagarjuna, ready to join the project.
