I Enjoyed Playing Seenayya: Vijay Deverakonda
Happening hero Vijay Deverakonda will be coming up with World Famous Lover where he will be seen in three different avatars romancing four heroines.
The trailer grabbed the attention and his recent statement of WFL will be his last love story made people curious to know whether he’s serious about what he said.
“I’m changing as a person. There will be phases in everyone’s life. I’ve very drastic phases. I find World Famous Lover subject exciting. For a while, until I find something exciting, I won’t do love stories.
“You will see my new phase as an actor in 3 to 4 months’ time. The kind of cinema I’m doing, the kind of stories I’m part of, I’m really contended.”
Unlike his previous films, Vijay didn’t aggressively promote this film.
Clarifying on the same, Vijay said, “I was in Mumbai. And I also wanted to see how it works with low buzz for my film. But, my opinion was changed after pre-release function that was attended by huge crowd.”
Vijay says his opinion on love and marriage has also been changed of late.
“I once used to think love is nonsense concept. I had many phases in love. I’ve seen people, who fell in love again after their break-up. I was very confused. Now, I’m in a phase where I believe in love. I still feel like, I’m a kid and not ready for marriage now.”
Vijay showed lots of variations in his three different characters in the film.
“Basic premise of the film is love has sacrifice and it is a divine feeling. The conflict is this guy doesn’t know all these.
This is the hardest film I did so far. I needed to go for physical makeover. I enjoyed playing Seenayya. Yellandu episode will be thoroughly entertaining.”
Vijay makes it clear that he will take the responsibility of success or failures of his films. He also affirmed that, Puri will make announcement on his ongoing film with the director.
“After a long time, I felt excitement. I’m excited working for Puri’s film.”
About pressure on him, Vijay states, “I’m happy with the bookings. As long as tickets are being sold out and people shower their love, nothing else matters.”
Of course, advance bookings are in full swing for the film. Out of 190 shows in Hyderabad, tickets for 120 shows were already sold out.
The film is due for release in 3 days.
With AAP’s victory in Delhi, all focus on Prashant Kishor
New Delhi: The AAP’s victory in Delhi assembly polls has yet again brought the focus on election strategist Prashant Kishor and his firm Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), which first changed the contours of political campaigning by introducing Narendra Modi’s famous ‘chai pe charcha’ campaign in 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
Kishor had joined hands with the AAP in December last year, and he advised the party to not respond to the negative campaigning of the BJP, which were focussed more on the anti-CAA protests in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh.
Latest trends received by the afternoon showed Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leading on 62 out of 70 seats in Delhi. The AAP had won 67 seats in the 2015 Assembly polls.
Following the trends, Kishor took to Twitter to write: “Thank you Delhi for standing up to protect the soul of India.”
Kishor, who joined the Janata Dal-United in September 2018, was expelled from the party last month for speaking against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC).
He designed the campaign for Delhi elections, focusing on the works done by the Kejriwal-led AAP in education as well as the health sector highlighting the classrooms and schools with swimming polls and the Mohalla clinics.
The I-PAC sources said that even the AAP’s theme song, which was composed by noted Bollywood music director Vishal Dadlani, was made “Lage Raho Kejriwal” highlighting the government’s work. During the 2015 Assembly polls, the AAP’s campaign song was titled “5 saal Kejriwal”.
According to the I-PAC team placed at the residence of Kejriwal during campaigning, Kishor has highlighted 15 seats with the negative outlook.
Instrumental in stitching then BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Modi’s famous ‘chai pe charcha’ campaign, he once again proved his mettle in the Delhi Assembly elections.
Before the Delhi Assembly polls, Kishor’s I-PAC has designed campaigns for Nitish Kumar’s JD-U which fought the 2015 Bihar Assembly polls in alliance with the Lalu Prasad-led RJD and the Congress, for Congress in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh in 2017, for the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal bypolls in 2019 and for Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh in 2019.
Except the results of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the I-PAC has never let down its clients. In the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, the Congress which joined hands with the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party was decimated. During the Bihar assembly polls, Kishor had brought the theme song for the assembly polls, ‘Ghar Ghar Nitishe’, while in the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, it highlighted the ‘ladke of UP’.
Kishor had also organised the ‘khat pe charcha’ programme for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi ahead of the assembly polls in the Uttar Pradesh. He then brought ‘Coffee pe charcha’ campaign during the Punjab assembly polls involving Captain Amarinder Singh.
Meanwhile, most recently, his team gave one of the most impressive victories for the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress in West Bengal’s assembly by-polls where it managed to win on all the four seats. Similarly, he stitched a sweet victory in Andhra Pradesh for Reddy who defeated N. Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) in the Assembly polls with a huge margin.
The DMK said earlier this month said it has signed up Kishor’s I-PAC to help shape its campaign for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections next year.
Mudragada trying to get closer to Jagan?
Former minister and Kapu strongman Mudragada Padmanabham, who has been ignored by all the political parties despite his fight for the rights of his community, appears to be trying to get closer to YSR Congress party led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
It was evident from a letter written by him to the chief minister on Tuesday.
While giving an impression that he is continuing to fight for Kapu reservations, Mudragada lavished praises on Jagan and also reminded how he had supported him during his yatra in the past. He hoped that Jagan would not forget the past.
In his letter, Mudragada said he was very much pleased with the way Jagan has been implementing the assurances, including those which were given in the manifesto and also those which were not promised, despite financial constraints.
“In the same breath, I am requesting that the chief minister should focus on the issue of Kapu reservations. This is not something new we are asking. My community had enjoyed reservations as Backward Classes from 1915 to till Independence. Many people who had joined government jobs under BC quota, retired as forward castes,” he reminded.
Mudragada requested that Jagan should take up the Kapu quota issue with the Centre, since the file seeking to provide 5 per cent quota to Kapus under BC-F category had been pending with Union home ministry.
“Kapu still remember Ambedkar and Damodaram Sanjeevaiah for extending quota to the community. If you can attend to this issue, you would also be remembered like those great leaders,” he said.
In an attempt to further pamper Jagan, Mudragada attacked TDP president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for subjecting Kapus to torture and abusing him and his family members with vulgar language.
“In spite of facing humiliations from Naidu, we could not get the BC quota,” he said.
Mudragada also reminded that he had extended all cooperation to Jagan during the latter’s Odarpu Yatra in 2011.
“Without expecting a single rupee or vehicle from you, I and my followers spend their own money and participated in your Odarpu Yatra to make it a huge success,” he said.
Though many Congress leaders were afraid of supporting Jagan those days, Mudragada claimed that he had take the lead and got suspended from the party.
“You can anybody in your party – Chandrasekhar Reddy, Ramakrishna Reddy, Karunakar Reddy or Y V Subba Reddy. They will tell about my sacrifices for you,” the former minister said, adding that he was not asking for any political rehabilitation, but only requesting the chief minister to achieve quota for Kapus.
Tamil Sensation Vertrimaran To Direct NTR?
When would super talented star Jr NTR starts his next film post #RRR is something we couldn’t answer for the now, but the hero is surely keeping his options prioritised. He wants to make sure that his film after Rajamouli’s magnum opus will be a commercial movie with a different setup.
For that very same reason, Tarak is said to be thinking with directors from other tinsel towns as they could give him something versatile rather the usual commercial hero stuff. We hear that recently Tamil director Vertrimaran, who is popular for films like Aadukalam, Vada Chennai and Asuran has recently met NTR to narrate a story. As the director has an intense script in hand and wants to make his debut in Tollywood as well, he is said to have chosen NTR for the same.
If all goes well after the final narration, then the Nannaku Prematho actor might star in Vetrimaaran’s direction. For now, NTR has kept his options open as he is having Trivikram’s film in hand, which he has to start shooting for whenever he finds time from the jam packed schedules of #RRR.
Whether NTR waits to wrap #RRR and join other films or he does something like that of an Anushka that he will do Rajamouli’s project and others in parallel is something we should see.
Godavari Fans Missing Sekhar Kammula Big Time
One of the most sensible director Tollywood has ever seen after the likes of K Viswanath is none other than Sekhar Kammula who stories are woven around women and the way they deal with the society and stigma. After blockbuster Fidaa, he is now coming up with another love story titled ‘Love Story’ which features Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the leads.
Usually, Sekhar’s films have this typical Godavari region theme until he made Fidaa. Films like Anand, Godavari and Life is Beautiful have the Andhra touch completely, though some of them are set in Hyderabad backdrop. But then, he changed gear with Fidaa as he made a film that is set in a typical Telangana village with the heroine also speaking fluent Telangana dialect Telugu on the silver screen.
And in his latest movie Love Story, both the hero and heroine will be seen speaking a pakka Telangana dialect only. While they settle in Hyderabad to learn dance and taking their passion to the next level, the language they speak will be most of the time Telangana dialect only.
In the wake of films like Fidaa, Arjun Reddy and others succeeding at the box office with Telangana slang only, maybe Sekhar could also not give it up. But Sekhar’s Godavari district based fans will be missing him on that note.
Most Respected Telugu Film Journalist Is No More
One of the noted names in Telugu Film Industry for his simplicity, ethics and upright thought process is none other than Pasupuleti Ramarao. More than the media outlets he worked for, it is his quality writing and the books he has published on various film celebs have made him a star. At the age of 70, Ramarao has breathed his last today.
Ramarao is said to be suffering from health issues from the past couple of years, though he didn’t look like one. After starting his career in CPI party where he worked as a writer, he got shifted to Madras to work as Visalandra reporter. Later he worked in the then newspapers like Andhra Jyothy and shifted to writing on films in Jyothichitra. After shifting to Hyderabad, he worked for many film magazines and TV channels. He wrote books like ‘Mega Chiranjeevitham’, ‘Adbutha Nati Savitiri’ and ‘Tera Venuka Dasari’.
Despite the fact that Ramarao worked in many big media outlets, wrote books and interviewed legends, he used to still ride only a simple bike and lived piously all his life.
We are expressing deepest condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.
I Love Constructive Criticism: Vijay Deverakonda
Vijay Deverakonda’s romantic entertainer World Famous Lover is all set for a grand release on 14th of this month. Vijay while interacting with media says that the story is a unique one which he hasn’t heard about earlier.
Producer KS Rama Rao stated that Vijay helped like an associate director for the film. Nonetheless, Vijay gives all the credit to his writer-director Krantthi Madhav. “This film completely belongs to Kranthi. Beyond acting, everything should go to him. Writing is Kranthi’s biggest strength.”
Vijay Deverakonda clarifying on his proclamation of stop doing love stories said, “Everyone will have different phases in life. I’m also changing as a person and my tastes are changing. I will do love stories, only if script excites me.”
Vijay says he loves constructive criticism. “I really enjoy people spending time to create memes and videos on my films. World Famous Lover is a unique romantic entertainer. But, in one love story, you will find similarities with Arjun Reddy’s love track.”

Film Buzz: Raashi Khanna Is On The Way
Though she made her debut years back, somehow it looks like the right time has started for now. After doing almost a dozen films since her debut Oohalu Gusagusalade (2014 release), finally Delhi siren Raashi Khanna got a break with 2018 film Tholiprema where her acting prowess won all the acclaims than her ravishing glamour.
After depending only on glamour treats for a long time, looks like Raashi has found herself and learned where she could really excel. Though she never stayed far from glamour, her roles in movies like Venky Mama and Prathiroju Pandage got acclaim due to her comedy timing and own dubbing. And now, she’s coming up with a bold role through World Famous Lover where this lots of kissing and other strong content.
Going by the trailers, it looks like Raashi has competed with Vijay Devarakonda to deliver intense performance. And while promoting the film, she’s making sure that her hotness will make all the eyeballs glued to her ravishing looks. The way she turned up at pre-release function is too tough to resist for anyone and they might rush to theatres to catch her.
If WFL delivers the needful, then surely Raashi will be on her way for next level stardom which she is feeling tough to crack from some time.
Future Plans Of NTR-Charan Got Disturbed Now
Mega budgeted magnum opus #RRR got shifted to January 2021 and that means, the two superstars, Jr NTR and Ram Charan, are going to work for the movie until the release date. Legendary director Rajamouli has to finish shooting the film and then his stars have to promote it.
While releasing the movie on Sankranthi eve would be a greater move in terms of high box office returns, this sudden adjustment is going to upset the future plans of NTR and Charan for sure. Especially, some producers like Mythri Movie Makers and UV Creations have planned their next movies with NTR and Charan respectively from August 2020, but that is not going to happen now.
If big producers don’t start films with big stars on time, they are not going to get their finances and clear previous debts quite easily. At the same time, if two big stars are not doing a film for years, then the industry will also experience a bit of slump and money flow gets affected.
Anyway, hope that Rajamouli stands on January 8, 2021 date; Else all the plans will get kaput once again and the two heroes will see a mega gap in their careers.
Is It A ‘Manam’ Of Mahesh Babu Family?
Superstar Mahesh is basking in the glory of Sarileru Neekevvaru which made huge profits at the box office. Not just as actor, but also as a producer and promoter of the film, he has achieved huge satisfaction with this project, they say. And that brings us to his next film which will be directed Vamsi Paidipally who gave him Maharshi earlier.
Like we said already, this new Mahesh-Vamsi movie is a gangster flick set in Vizag backdrop and has lots of crime elements to it. More than those elements, it is now being rumoured that the movie is going to become a ‘Manam’ for Mahesh Babu’s family. Along with his father Krishna and wife Namrata Shirodkar, we hear that kids Gowtham and Sitara are also going to act in this flick if sources are to be believed.
Back then, we have Krishna appearing in a couple of Mahesh Babu movies, while Namrata made her Telugu debut alongside Mahesh only. And then, barring Krishna, the cute parents and kids have acted together in an ad recently. And it will be good to see the whole of Mahesh’s family on the screen actually. But what are the roles they are going to play is what piques the curiosity now.
