From casting a heroine who is of his age, Jayasudha as his mother to wearing multiple wigs that look quite uneasy, Nandamuri Balakrishna is still doing things that won’t fall in his age and range anymore. Still trying to prove that he is the same mass hero he used to be, the hero is surely losing a chunk of good subjects that could become his movies.

Among the Big Four, currently, Venkatesh is doing pretty good as he has changed the way he should pick movies. Though he is doing commercial movies like F2 and Venky Mama, he has these stunners like Drishyam, Guru and now Narappa. He will be playing father to elder sons, having no song and dance moves, and is touching various social issues through these new age movies.

Only if Balakrishna also realises the importance of doing such content-driven flicks and takes up various challenges, then his career will get a new extension. Also, the senior hero will get a chance to get closer to younger generation audiences if he picks up interesting subjects rather than Simha, Legend and Ruler.

On the other hand, recently Nagarjuna changed gear by picking up Wild Dog, an encounter cop’s story; Chiranjeevi is playing safe with Koratala Siva’s movie. So it is up to Balayya to decide the types of films he will be doing from now, while he is awaiting for Boyapati’s film to kick start.
