YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has certain plans in his mind for the development of Amaravati and there is no need for the farmers who had given their lands to have any anxiety about their fate.
This was made clear by minister for municipal administration Botsa Satyanaryana.
“Jagan has a clear strategy to develop Amaravati and also fulfil the promises made to the farmers by the previous government,” he said on Thursday.
He said farmers had given lands under land pooling scheme would be offered developed plots as promised by the previous government.
In case if farmers wanted anything in addition to that, the government was ready to have talks with them and consider them as per the possibilities, the minister said.
Botsa accused TDP president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu of spreading false propaganda and misleading the people with wrong information.
Referring to the report published by Eenadu on the buildings constructed in Amaravati, he said all the buildings that were put up by TDP government in Amaravati were temporary.
“The secretariat is a temporary one, assembly is temporary, high court is temporary and all the government offices in this region are being operated in rented spaces. Now Chandrababu Naidu is saying that these buildings are enough to run the capital in Amaravati. But before elections he stated that the capital construction needs Rs 1.09 lakh crore,” the minister said.
He said by taking up agitations, the opposition was going with false accusations and disturbing the happy atmosphere.
At least for now, the Andhra Pradesh high court does not want to interfere in the issue of shifting of capital city from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam.
A division bench of the high court headed by chief justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari and Justice Manthata Sitarama Murthy has dismissed the petition filed by Korrapati Subba Rao, a farmer from Amaravati, related to the capital city stating that it cannot intervene in the issue, unless the government comes up with an official notification on the capital shift.
“What is so hurry or urgency in dealing with the petitions opposing the shifting of capital from Amaravati? As of now, there is no official decision from the government. In the absence of a formal announcement and orders from the government on the evacuation of the capital, how we can give directions to government?” the high court questioned the petitioners.
The court said the capital shift cannot happen overnight or in a matter of day or two.
“It requires a lot of process. So, we cannot intervene now and there is no urgency in dealing with these petitions,” it said.
The court advised the petitioner to file the petition after the Sankranthi vacation if necessary.
Subba Rao moved the court on Wednesday seeking the court to direct the government to stall the proposal of capital shifting. In the reply, the bench asked the petitioner had there been any official orders from the government so far on shifting of the capital to which the petitioner has no answer. Hence the court said that there is no urgency in investigating the petition.
Short mobile videos platform TikTok is a rage in India. Ever since it was introduced in the country, 190 million people have downloaded the videos and people are using it for entertainment to satirical videos. Now this craze has spread to politics.
An enthusiast has used in targeting the YSRCP Macharla MLA Ramakrishna Reddy. Recently this MLA was attacked by TDP supporters in Chinna Kakani, Guntur district. Based on this video, a TDP support identified as Avinash made a TikTok video using abusive language. This did not go well with YSRCP and the MLA supporters. They approached the police and lodged a complaint.
The police traced out that Avinash is residing in Hyderabad working in a software company. He was arrested and brought to Macharla police station.
This culture is not just in the AP, even in North, people are using TikTok to target politicians. But they should be careful of not crossing the line, if not will have to end up behind the bars.
Superstar Mahesh Babu is super confident of his upcoming movie ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ and said that fans will definitely see a new Mahesh Babu in the film.
“The other day, I finished the dubbing, I have good vibes about the film and so do the producers,” said Mahesh in a positive tone.
Interacting with the media, Mahesh said, “After ‘Dookudu’ I haven’t done an out and out commercial entertainer and when director Anil Ravipudi narrated the script, I immediately got excited but took a month time to prepare for the role. As I’m playing the role of an army guy, I have to look fit.”
Crediting his team for wrapping up the film in a quick time, Mahesh said, “After ‘Businessman’ this is my fastest film to get completed in short span. The director and the entire team worked tirelessly for 125 days. I did take breaks and rest during this making, but the team is yet to take a break.”
Complimenting director Anil Ravipudi, Mahesh said, “He is a super commercial director and the entertainment factor will be new in Sarileru. That’s the biggest USP. Anil has grown 10 times as director.”
Mahesh said that he felt nostalgic when he saw the Kondareddy Buruju set in Ramoji Film city.
“It was not any sentiment or sort. When director Anil said the film will have Kurnool backdrop, they decided to build a set. Art director Prakash did an amazing work.” Said Mahesh.
On the Sankranthi competition, he replied that he is relieved that the producers guild has sorted it out and every hero wants a solo release but this is the festival season and so everyone wants to take an opportunity.
‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ is hitting the cinemas on January 11th.
If the CBI court gives its nod, former minister and presently YSR Congress party legislator from Srikakulam Dharmana Prasada Rao will face criminal prosecution in connection with his alleged role in the Vadarevu And Nizampatnam Ports and Infrastructure Company (VANPIC) Pvt Ltd involving industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad.
The Central Bureau of Investigation filed a petition in the court seeking permission to prosecute and question former minister Dharmana Pradad Rao with regard to allegations of favouring VANPIC.
The CBI reminded that the Supreme Court had upheld the earlier directives of the CBI’s court in considering cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act putting high court’s orders aside.
“It is against this backdrop that Dharmana can be prosecuted, ” the CBI told the court.
However, CBI Special Court Special Judge BV Madhusudhan Rao asked the CBI to ascertain the extent to which the Dharmana’s petition filed in Apex Court has come. The CBI was asked to submit the details of the case.
On the other hand, CM Jagan Reddy will attend the Hyderabad CBI court in person on Friday in the disproportionate assets case.
The much-hyped films of Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun – “Sarileru Neekevvaruaru” and “Ala Vaikunthapuramulo” – are getting ready for release in a gap of one day. Both the films have succeeded in generating a tremendous buzz in the film circles.
But when it comes to publicity, there is a glaring difference between the two. So far, Allu Arjun has not appeared before the media, nor has he spoken to any media person about the film.
There is not even a group interview of his team to the media nor is there any solo interview by any of his team members. There is not even a media event by them.
On the other hand, Mahesh and his film director Anil Ravipudi are storming the media with one interview after the other in various combinations, generating a huge curiosity among the audiences.
In this aspect, Bunny’s personal digital team seems have failed to catch up with the competitors miserably. The team doesn’t appear to have proper planning.
Though the film is slated for release on January 12, Bunny has not got into action even till afternoon of Thursday.
When some media people made enquiries on Thursday afternoon, the reply they have got was that Bunny has not got up from his slumber and may be, he would start giving interviews after he got up.
Another issue about “Ala Vaikuntapuramulo” is that any decision about the film has to be taken by director Trivikram. This problem does not arise with Mahesh Babu. He has his own team, which is planning everything for the film and he simply follows the plan.
Initially, there were reports that Bunny was planning two more functions for his film – one in Visakhapatnam and another in Dubai. But it is now certain that none of them is working out.
The latest talk is that he would have a function at Visakhapatnam on January 17, five days after the release of the film. But who knows, what the decision would be after the release of the film.
Anyway, whatever buzz that “Ala Vaikuntapuramulo” has got so far was only from its songs and Bunny’s digital team has put in little efforts to hype the film. This will make it difficult for them to sustain publicity after the release of the film.
Bunny might be claiming that he has an army behind him, but it appears he is not able to check whether this army is really working for him or not.
Among the promises made by YS Jagan during his ‘padayatra’ Amma Vodi had attracted many. Especially the rural women who find it difficult to give their children education owing to financial burden, were relieved when Jagan announced ‘Amma Vodi.’
On Thursday this scheme is launched in Chittoor by CM Jagan. Under Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme, a sum of Rs 15,000 will be credited in the bank accounts of mothers or guardians of the children. The government has gathered the date of beneficiaries and nearly 43 lakh mothers or guardians have registered under the scheme.
The YSRCP government has allocated Rs 6455.80 crore budget for the fiscal year 2019-20. After Jagan made this announcement, the student enrollment went up by 30 per cent for the current academic year.
Initially the government has set few conditions for the scheme and one among them is to have a minimum attendance of 75 per cent of the student to avail the benefits of the Amma Vodi scheme. But Jagan has removed certain controversial restriction.
‘Amma Vodi’ is not applicable to dropouts from school or colleges, Government employees and income taxpayers. The best feature of this scheme is the government has accepted to include orphans and street children who are studying in various schools with help of NGOs
