Prabhas Keeps Parusuram Waiting
Prabhas is keeping Geetha Govindam director Parusuram in waiting. Parusuram has recently met Prabhas and narrated a story. The proposed film would be bankrolled by Prabhas friends UV Creations. However, Prabhas is unable to decided on Parusuram’s story yet and sought time. With this, Parusuram’s waiting woes continue.
After scoring blockbuster like Geetha Govindam, Parusuram is yet to start his next film. While Parusuram had narrated a story to Mahesh Babu, it didn’t materialize. Even Allu Arjun couldn’t do a film with Parusuram. Apparently, Dil Raju had even brought Parusuram’s name with Pawan Kalyan for Pink Telugu remake and Pawan too wasn’t positive as he wanted a sensible filmmaker to helm Pink whereas Parusuram has been positioned as a filmmaker whose forte is youthful entertainers.
Now, Prabhas is the last option among star heroes for Parusuram. NTR and Ram Charan are busy with RRR. So, if Prabhas doesn’t give his yes, Parusuram has to look out for youth heroes again.
GST Not Leaving RGV, Forensic Report Is Due
Ram Gopal Varma’s controversial film GST, ‘God, Sex and Truth’, is not leaving the eccentric filmmaker. The cybercrime police of Cyberabad, who had filed a chargesheet against Ram Gopal Varma on the charges of promoting obscenity, intimidation and violation of 66A of Information Technology Act, are waiting for the detailed Forensic Report. This is in connection with a case filed by women rights activist Devi for promoting obscenity and making personal remarks against her in a TV debate.
Ram Gopal Varma was questioned by CCS police for several hours and his lapotop was seized to analyze from where he has uploaded the content of GST. The forensic team is yet to give its findings.
Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Varma had claimed that the entire film of GST was shot in Poland and he was not present on the set during the film’s shooting. RGV claimed that he had only directed through video conference.
On the other hand, the CCS police have approached social media platforms like Twitter to retrieve some of the deleted content/tweets of RGV related to GST movie. But surprisingly, the social media giants have refused to share the data with the cops claiming privacy issue.
As the chargesheet was filed against RGV in 2018 over GST, it is not easy for RGV to come out of it. Meanwhile, RGV”s political potboiler Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Reddlu is gearing up for release and unfazed RGV is bracing up for yet another major controversy.

After blockbuster Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor has opted for yet another remake of Telugu film. This time he has chosen a sports backdrop film Jersey which has Nani in the original. Shahid turned a passionate cricketer in this emotional sports drama laced with father-son sentiment.
Shahid Kapoor is currently undergoing cricket training before beginning the film’s shoot. Shahid is being trained in batting. Gowtam Tinnanuri, who had directed the original, is helming the Hindi remake as well. Sharing the glimpse from his training, Shahid commented, “#jersey the prep begin”
The film is jointly produced by Aman Gill, Allu Aravind and Dil Raju. It is slated for 28 Aug, 2020 release.
No Relief To CM Jagan, CBI Court Dismisses Petition
n a major set back to CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, the CBI special court in Nampally has dismissed his petition seeking exemption from personally attending the court proceedings. Jagan’s advocate S Niranjan Reddy had earlier appealed to the CBI special court to exempt Jagan from appearing personally to court as he is in a constitutional position and to discharge his duties as the Chief Minister of a state.
Interestingly, Jagan’s lawyer Niranjan Reddy raked up a valid point that the state government is spending Rs 60 lakh on every visit of the Chief Minister Jagan to the CBI court. He stated that the expenditure of the Chief Minister convoy, his security protocol and other bureaucratic procedures are taking a toll on public exchequer. He appealed to the court to consider these and sought the court to allow the accused to be represented through his lawyer.
This is not all. Jagan’s lawyer Niranjan Reddy further said that his client CM Jagan is not seeking ‘complete extemption’ from attendance to court but would appear before the court whenever it was required. He claimed that his client is a law-abiding citizen and he had not sought any special relief in the entire trial process. However, heated argument took place between CBI counsel and Jagan’s counsel. Jagan’s counsel had even raised its objection over the use of ‘language’ against CM Jagan. Jagan’s lawyer Niranjan Reddy has asked the CBI counsel to ‘respect’ his client as he is a Chief Minister.
CBI’s special public prosecutor Surender Rao argued that the accused, who in a constitutional position, could influence the witnesses as he had tried similar methods earlier. After hearing both the parties for a while, finally Justice BR Madhusudhan Rao has given verdict in favour of the CBI. This is seen as a big blow to CM Jagan. CBI counsel said the trail is reaching final stage and granting him exemption from attending court at this juncture would lead to ‘influencing’ of witnesses.
This is not first time Jagan’s petition to exempt personal attendance was dismissed. Earlier, Jagan had filed a similar petition twice when he was the main opposition leader in AP Assembly. After the trial court dismissed the petition, Jagan had moved the then Hyderabad High Court. Justice M. Satyanarayana Murthy of the High Court too dismissed the petition in 2017. Jagan’s lawyer then had argued that he has to do Padayatra where he would tour the State and meet people to listen to their grievances.
Jagan is facing several cases related to DA (disproportionate assets) filed by the CBI since 2012. Jagan had been in jail for 15 months before 2014 and since then, has been appearing before the court every Friday. Now Jagan is the CM of AP, so it is becoming extremely difficult for him to schedule official meetings and official appointments. Apart from that, CM Jagan has to take CBI court’s permission whenever he has to visit New Delhi or to go abroad.
Ram Charan To Reunite ‘Mirchi’ Combo
Though Koratala Siva wrote for many films, he has shot to fame only after making ‘Mirchi’ with Prabhas. Since then, both the hero and the director are not looking back in Tollywood while Prabhas’ craze also leapt to other states as well. Since then, everyone is waiting for this combo to happen again.
Reports are coming that Prabhas and Koratala Siva will be coming together for Ram Charan’s production venture very soon. After Koratala wraps #Chiru152 and then directs Charan in the subsequent film, there are chances that he will be joining hands with Prabhas again. Word has that UV Creations and Ram Charan’s Konidela Productions will jointly produce this movie.
In the wake of Ram Charan financially helping Prabhas’ Saaho, there is no doubt anyone for the Mirchi and Magadheera to team up. But the only question is, when is that going to happen? Especially with Koratala delivering society centric projects, right now Prabhas would be one of the best heroes for such stories.
Other Producers Upset With Pawan Kalyan’s Decision?
News is everywhere that Pawan Kalyan is all set to sizzle in a couple of movies before he actually focuses on politics again. The Janasena president is reportedly doing discussions with Krish for a movie and then considering the remake of Pink movie too.
Guess what, the name of veteran producer AM Ratnam is being loudly heard as a producer of Krish’s film, while there is no talk about the one who produces Pink remake though they say Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor will be the ones. However, these talks are said to be upsetting those producers who have already paid (or invested) Pawan Kalyan for a film.
For example, Mythri Movie Makers gave huge advance to Pawan for a film regarding which the latter mentioned in his election affidavit too. Similarly, Ram Tallur of SRT Movies also invested hugely in Janasena party as he’s the one who is said to have given office space to Pawan’s social media team.
It all Pawan is wearing the grease paint again, these producers want the actor to work with them first rather than giving a chance to AM Ratnam just on the basis that he produced Kushi years back.
Telangana: All set for Munici’polls’
The much-delayed announcement of municipal elections in Telangana are around the corner. From the reliable sources, we hear that the state’s election commission might release the notification on Monday i.e, November 4th.
As per the source, the municipal elections are likely to be held in two phases. Cases are pending against few municipalities in the Telangana High Court and so the elections for these municipalities are expected to take place in the second phase. The first phase will have municipalities with no legal hurdles.
The government has already prepared the draft for reservations for the municipalities and after the notification release, they would hold a draw as per the ward.
The municipal elections were supposed to be held in August. Petitions were filed in High Court that there are irregularities in the voters list.
After two months, recently the High Court has given green signal for the ‘Munici’polls.
Amala Akkineni joins Sharwa’s bilingual
Hero Sharwanand is doing a bilingual film with ‘Khaidi’ producers Dream Warrior Pictures banner.
This yet to be titled film has an interesting update. Actress Amala Akkineni is signed for the film and she will be seen as hero Sharwa’s mother.
It is an important role and Amala liked it very much and so she accepted to do this. Amala is very choosy about films and is signing based on the roles and scripts.
The second schedule of shooting has commenced today in Hyderabad and Amala has joined the sets.
Debutant Shree Karthik is directing the movie which is said to be based on friendship and is being simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil languages.
Sharwa is romancing ‘Pelli Choopulu’ lady Ritu Varma in it while the same film’s director Tharun Bhascker is penning the dialogues.
Surprise: Rajagopal hails KTR to the sky!
The politics of Komatireddy brothers are terribly confusing to their followers. On one hand Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is criticizing KCR and TRS sarkar on TS RTC strike and at the other end Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy is all praise of IT minister KTR.
Speaking to the media Rajagopal said, “It is blessing for people of Telangana to have KTR as IT minister. He has good experience and understanding of the portfolios he is handling.” This statement has surprised Congress cadre and leaders and are thinking why Rajagopal made such comments now.
Did Rajagopal give any hint that he is looking at TRS party? A few months back he was all over the headlines for moving close to BJP. But then he became cautious of the consequences and laid a step back.
Later the Munugode MLA went on to add that the state government should strive to bring more industries and help in employment. He appealed to KTR to deal with the pollution of Chouttupal and make Rachakonda as a tourism hub.
Polavaram Is Back On Track
Post the election results, the YSRCP government had stopped all the works of Polavaram project. For nearly six months, the project was lying idle without any progress and YSRCP had initiated a committee and then went for reverse tendering despite severe criticism.
Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited shortly known as MEIL has bagged the contractor of spill-way and others. On Friday, engineers of MEIL have performed a ‘Bhoomi Pooja’ and started of the works at the backside of spill-way.
However sub-contractors and workers have staged a protest demanding for their due payments. MEIL has sought police protection and with help of them, they moved the big engines to the project site.
Speaking on it AP Irrigation minister Anil Kumar Yadav said, “As said by our CM YS Jagan, we have resumed the construction of Polavaram in November and in a time-frame, the project will be completed.”
