Married Lady’s Spicy Feelers For Tollywood Folks

Share

With the likes of Samantha and Shriya continuing to act in Tollywood despite the fact that they married, it has given a ray of hope to many married starlets who have also turned mothers. They are now looking forward to making re-entry not as sidekicks and sisters, but as heroines only.

One of the prominent names who is trying her comeback strongly is Genelia D’Souza, who married her longtime boyfriend Ritesh Deshmukh in 2012 and retired from heroine roles down south since then. But now, she’s making sure that her paparazzi pics reach Telugu folks big time as she is hitting the gym on a daily basis.

With plans to make a comeback, and by shedding loads of weight already, Genelia is almost ready to re-enter the silver screen. And her hot looks in some short dresses at the recent events and also her gym pictures, are making sure that she gave enough signals about being glamorous on the screen.

Will Tollywood takes notice of these feelers and offers her anything worth doing? Let’s see.

Krish Picks His Second Hero After Varun Tej

Share

Director Krish is busy carving some interesting films on one side, but then, he wants to produce new content that debutante directors narrate him. As his first attempt, he produced ‘Antariksham’ movie with Varun Tej under Sankalp Reddy’s direction.

Irrespective of Antariksham’s commercial success, it looks like Krish wants to go ahead with producing films along with his friend Rajeev Reddy. In his second attempt, Krish also made Dil Raju a partner and their film will be featuring none other than Avasarala Srinivas as the leading man. Krish never really went after formulaic commercial films to direct and it not a surprise that he follows the same principle while producing films too. When a story needs a suitable hero, he goes for it and Avasarala Srinivas has been traveling with Krish from Kanche, Athariksham and he also appeared in a role for NTR Kathanayakudu.

To be directed by a debutante, this film is going to be launched today (Saturday) and we hear that the concept is a striking one with loads of satirical humour induced into it. At a time when many are waiting for Krish’s next directorial announcement, this might give a bit of relief, but then, will he talk about his film with Pawan Kalyan at this launch?

Telangana Politician’s Son Dating Dusky Telugu Heroine

Share

He happens to be the son of a notable politician in Telangana region who actually operates from Hyderabad. And she happens to be a dusky heroine who has recently shifted to glamorous outings but of no advantage. And how these two are being seen everywhere now?

At every happening pub and brewery of the city, these two are making sure that they will be there on time, in hottest looks, and rock the floor. From enjoying Telugu songs to relishing in some English music, the two are a hot pair in town now. But there is more than what meets the eye, say some onlookers.

Apparently the politician’s son is young and eligible but that doesn’t mean he will be marrying this actress. However, the heroine also knows that this is just a time-pass affair, but she is making sure that enough gifts will find their way into her kitty.

These types of affairs are not new, but what is surprising is that this heroine always involves in similar affairs as she dates guys from only affluent families.

Why these media ignored Naidu’s scams?

Share

YSR Congress party on Friday found fault with a section of media for being biased towards Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and ignoring his corrupt deeds.

Former MP and YSRC secretary C Ramachandraiah alleged that the writings of certain media, particularly yellow media, were unbridled and were the reason behind provocation of communal riots.

He questioned as to why these media houses did not utter a word when 18 members were killed in an encounter in red sanders issue.

“Did they write about human rights violation in such killings? But the same media is talking about human rights violation in the Jagan government, as alleged by Naidu,” he criticised.

He also questioned the media as to why they had not raised any finger against the mismanagement by Naidu when 23 people died in a stampede during the Godavari Pushkaralu.

“They did not say a word against Naidu when he engineered defection of 23 YSRC MLAs into the TDP and when he was involved in vote-for-note case. They did not write a sentence against him though he was roaming around the country in private aeroplanes despite the financial crisis in the state,” he said.

On the other hand, the media is running a false campaign to malign Jagan, though it was not even four months since he came to power, he said.

CBI has no respect for Jagan as chief minister?

Share

How should the Central Bureau of Investigation refer to YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy while dealing with his case in the court?

In its counter-petition filed in the special court last week, the CBI projected Jagan as if he is a hardcore criminal and had the capacity to influence witnesses using his muscle, money and political powers, if he was given exemption from personal appearance in the court.

Jagan’s counsel on Friday lodged a strong protest in the court against the harsh language used by the CBI against him.

“He is the head of the state and is in a respectable position. He should be referred to as Hon’ble Chief Minister and given due respect, instead of being called just Jagan,” the counsel argued.

Stating that the CBI had presented ‘imaginary contents,’ Jagan’s legal counsel asked the CBI to show a single evidence to prove that Jagan had influenced the witnesses in the last four months of coming to power.

He said Jagan was seeking exemption from personal appearance only because he had Constitutional obligation to discharge his duties as the CM.

“The exemption is sought only in the interest of the larger interest of people of Andhra Pradesh but not because it is inconvenient for Jagan”, the counsel mentioned.

The CBI, however, said Jagan continued to be an accused in the court and there were no changes in the conditions of the case, except in his position. The CBI appealed to the court not to spare Jagan from personal appearance.

The CBI special court reserved its judgement and might pronounce its decision on November 1 on whether or not to exempt Jagan from personal appearance in the court in the disproportionate assets case on every Friday.

HC Order, A Smack On KCR’s Knuckles!

Share

The high court order to the Telangana government to initiate talks with the striking RTC employee unions is a smack on the knuckles of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

This was stated by Bharatiya Janata Party official spokesman K Krishna Sagar Rao. In a statement on Friday, he said the high court order to the government to hold talks with RTC unions immediately vindicates the BJP support to the RTC strike.

“It is an order against the adamance of KCR and a smack on the knuckles for the state government,” he said.

Rao demanded the chief minister to personally hold talks with the RTC employee unions immediately as directed by HC, instead of using state administrative officers, who are completely powerless to make any real decisions to resolve the issue.

“BJP extends support to the State Bandh call given the RTC employee unions JAC tomorrow against the undemocratic functioning of the state government,” he said.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), too, demanded that KCR followed the directives given by High Court to deal with the RTC strike.

TPCC treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy said the high court had given clear directions to the KCR government to complete negotiation process in the next three days and appraise the court about the outcome by October 28.

He feared that the Chief Minister might not obey the High Court directions as he did in the past. He advised KCR to set aside his personal ego and resolve the issues of RTC employees.

Opinion: Naidu’s take on media freedom questioned

Share

Former chief minister and TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu and his party leaders have been making hue and cry over the State government’s decision to decentralise existing powers of defamation.

The government had extended the monitoring and defamation powers from the Information and Public Relations commissioner to the secretaries of all the departments, which is now vehemently opposed by the TDP and the media that supports Naidu.

Naidu, in the last five years, is no exception to silence the media.

He had prevented the Sakshi group from visiting the TDP office and had not allowed the Sakshi journalists, both print and electronic media to the Block I in the Velagapudi secretariat, where the CMO was established.

Naidu, as chief minister, had also issued a couple of GOs to take action against the Sakshi group and had even authorised Real Time Governance chief executive Babu Ahmad, through GOs to take action against Sakshi and its editorial head.

This happened twice, GO RT No. 692 on March 25, 2019 and GO RT No. 733 on March 28, 2019, delegating the powers from Information and Public Relations Commissioner.

Surprisingly, the same leaders are now trying to find fault with the YSR Congress government and chief minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for delegating powers from I & PR commissioner to the secretaries of the departments.

Minister Botsa Satyanarayana and former minister C Ramachandraiah have nailed Naidu on this and said that it was Naidu who had shown the way for this government to delegate the defamation powers.

But, unmindful of his own initiatives to silence the media, Naidu is now trying to reap some political benefits by criticising the government and backing his own pampered media.

Tadepalli, Mangalagiri to be administrative hub in AP

Share

The two hard rock towns, Tadepalli and Mangalagiri, are likely to be the administrative hub of Andhra Pradesh soon, if one goes by the movement of the government.

Hither to, Velagapudi and Nowluru have been the administrative hub of the TDP government in the last five years, with Secretariat and Assembly coming up in Velagapudi and High Court in Nowluru.

The present government, while continuing to use these buildings for its governance, is planning to move out of this place, if the statements of Minister Botsa Satyanarayana and MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy are any indication.

Botsa had been saying that the loose soil in Velagapudi and other villages is not suitable for high-rise buildings as major part of the money is going towards foundation.

The government is spending over Rs 10,000 per square feet here against the normal spending of Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,500.

The new government finds the construction cost is unwanted, particularly when there is no money with the exchequer.

Mangalagiri and Tadikonda Assembly segments are part of the Amaravati, initially proposed by the TDP government and thus Mangalagiri holds good now for this government.

There are over a dozen offices of the Heads of Department located along the Chennai-Kolkata national highway near Mangalagiri and Tadepalli. The DGP office too is located in this sector.

The government is planning to buy a multi-storeyed building at Tadepalli to house the offices of the HoDs.

Mangalagiri MLAs says that there is 10,000 acres of land readily available for the government to start constructions and there is another 15,000 acres of forest land located along the high way between the office of the DGP and the AIIMS, coming up in the hills.

As located rightly on the national highway, the government is planning to use this rocky soil for administrative buildings, rather than pumping money into the black and loose soil of Velagapaudi and Nowluru.

Varun Tej Hikes His Remuneration!

Share

Of late, Varun Tej stands out among Tier-II heroes of Telugu film industry with his consistent hits.

His market has, in fact, not yet stabilised, though he delivered big hits like “Fida” and “F2”, besides decently successful films like “Toli Prema” and “Valmiki.”

While “Fida” could get a market share of Rs 50 crore, while “F2” starring another hero Venkatesh, recorded collections up to Rs 80 crore. But “Toli Prema” and “Valmiki” ended up with just around Rs 25 crore.

Yet, there is a talk in the film industry, Varun Tej has steeply hiked his remuneration. It is learnt he is now demanding remuneration of Rs 8 crore.

While another successful hero Nani is being paid remuneration of Rs 8-10 crore, Varun Tej, too, is charging more or less same, because of his consistent show at the box office.

However, producers are said to be wondering whether this comparison is correct. Nani managed to get huge opening collections with his latest film “Gang Leader,” though it got a flop talk.

But Varun Tej has not been able to get at least minimum openings for his flop films. His film “Antariksham” could not get even respectable collections.

So, one does not know whether producers would yield to his demand for a higher remuneration or agree to give him a share in the profits. Let us see.

Ala Vaikunthapuramulo: What a marketing strategy!

Share

These days, good opening collections for any film depend on how much hype it gets before its release.

If the producers are able to generate curiosity among the audiences that it is a must-watch film, even negative reviews and bad talk are not able to stop its weekend collections after the release.

So, producers are following various techniques to create huge hype for their films before they hit the screen.

Take the case of “Ala Vaikunthapuramulo,” starring Allu Arjun.

The first song of the film was released almost 100 days before the release of the film. Instead of releasing the regular lyrical video, this song – “Samaja Vara Gamana..” was shot on Thaman and Sid Sriram in a special set.

It is learnt the producers spent nearly Rs 25 lakh on shooting this promo song. As expected by them, the song turned out be a smash hit, securing more than 40 million views on YouTube.

Needless to say, the craze for this song will definitely fetch huge opening collections for this film.

Enthused by the success of this song, the producers of “Ala Vaikunthapuramulo..” are all set to release yet another song from the film – said to be a mass song – shot in the same manner for this Diwali.

While “Samaja Vara Gamana..” was a little classic song, attracting class audiences, the forthcoming song is expected to create a lot of craze among the mass audiences.

Since there is a huge competition among Telugu films to be released during Sankranti, such innovative strategies would definitely make a difference in attracting audiences.
