‘Sye Raa’ Team to Begin Their Promotional Campaign

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Prestigious Historical war dram ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ is getting ready to hit the screens across the globe on October 2, 2019.

‘Sye Raa’ team released a video from the film one year back and they are silent since then. Sources close to the unit revealed that the team is ready to fire all the guns from this week.

To begin with, they will be releasing a Making Video on August 14th, which explains the humongous span of the film.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly lined up few more ‘sensational decisions’ soon.Modi as PM in his second term created a sensation by abolishing Article 370, bifurcated Jammu and Kashmir, scrapped statehood to J&K and created two new Union Territories J&K and Ladakh and get all these passed in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha within two days last week.

The entire J&K issue was so meticulously planned by Modi that no one could sense it till he introduced bills in the parliament.

Now, Modi is learnt to have decided to bring a new Act to check religious conversions in India.

Religious conversions have become a menace in India. Hindus are being converted to other religions with an aim to bring down Hindu population in the country, which is a majority now.

The conversions are more from Hindus to Christians. Various Christian organisations are targeting poorer sections in Hindus and luring them with cash and kind to adopt Christianity.

To put an end to this, Modi is reportedly bringing an Anti-Religious Conversion Bill in the next session of Parliament.

With BJP having full majority in Lok Sabha and various regional parties supporting BJP in Rajya Sabha, Modi is confident that this bill will be passed like that of recent J&K bills without any difficulty.Once enacted, this Act will prevent religious conversions in India.

BJP sources said this bill is being drafted now at present and is likely to be introduced in the winter session of Parliament.

As per sources, the bill will prevent the practice of any kind of religious conversion. Reports suggest that the government is preparing to introduce the bill in the next session of Parliament.

Mojo TV staff gets four and half months’ salary?

Management of Mojo TV, a popular Telugu television channel which was wound up last week, on Saturday claimed that it has paid wages for four-and-a-half months as compensation for the closure.

According to a statement from the channel, the management has offered to pay the highest compensation ever paid by any of the closed television channels in the state, including No.1 TV, 6TV, Express News, Gemini and Zee-24 hours etc.

“The employees are extremely happy with the money offered by Mojo TV management, as no employee got such a hefty package in any of the closed channel. In fact, many channels evaded payment to the employees after closure and only Gemini and Zee 24 Hours had done justice to their staff to some extent,” the statement said.

The statement also pointed out that former TV9 chief executive officer V Ravi Prakash had started Mojo TV with the funds belonging to TV9, for his personal benefits.

“The salaries of employees were also paid with the diverted funds. But after TV9 changed hands, Mojo TV started facing funds crunch,” it said.

While the old management threw up its hands in running Mojo TV, the new management which took over the channel also felt that the channel was not financially viable.

So, within two months of taking over Mojo TV, the management decided to wind up the channel.

“Though there was not profit of even a single rupee, it is commendable that the Mojo TV management has decided to pay four-and-a-half months’ salary to the outgoing staff,” the statement added.

Village secretariats to replace Mee Seva centres?

If YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has his way, the much-publicised village secretariats are going to replace Mee Seva centres in the coming days.

At present, Mee Seva centres are extending various citizen services to the people, such as payment of telephone and electricity bills, challans, collection of property tax and RTA fees, issuance of marks sheets to students, collection of fees for various entrance exams and processing of even online passport applications.

Now Jagan is planning to introduce from October 2 over 20,000 village secretariats in villages and ward secretariats in urban bodies, which are also meant for extending all citizen services to the people within their areas.

Though it is not exactly known the kind of services to be offered by these secretariats, there are reports that the village and ward secretariats would make the Mee Seva centres redundant.

So, there is a possibility of the government winding up the Mee Seva centres, a section of media reported.

Moreover, Mee Seva centres were originally started by Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu during his second term in the combined Andhra Pradesh between 1999 and 2004. They were then called “e-Seva centres.”

Later, during the Congress government led by Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, more services were introduced in the e-Seva centres and were renamed as Mee Seva Centres.

Initially, they were run by the government through outsourced agencies and later, the government gave them to private agencies on franchisee basis to meet the growing demand from people.

They continued with the same name during the Naidu regime between 2014 and 2018. Now, Jagan who is not willing to continue any scheme launched by the previous government, is said to be contemplating scrapping these Mee Seva centres.

However, there is no official decision from the government in this regard so far.

Adivi Sesh has brought craze to the thriller genre in Tollywood with “Kshanam”. All his recent movies were successful and his upcoming thriller “Evaru” has already generated great buzz with its intriguing trailer.

Starring Regina Cassandra in the main role as a rape victim and Adivi Sesh as a corrupt police officer, the trailer has left us in wanting more.The film is produced by the ‘Kshanam’ producer PVP and directed by newcomer Venkat Ramji.Adivi Sesh confesses that he takes pride in reviving this genre in Tollywood.

“After Kshanam, this is a true-blue thriller I had done. Goodachari was designed more like an action movie. This one is a pucca thriller with twists and turns. Much like Kshanam, this too has striking emotions. I feel proud that we have set a trend with Kshanam and the genre is now doing well in Telugu cinema,” Sesh said.

Regina Cassandra who won great appreciation in “Awe” last year said this film came to her at a crucial juncture.“This role came to me at the right time. I am really happy and thankful to the team for considering me for this great role,” she said.

She has been playing different roles of late.

“If you find a success formula, you feel comfortable but as an actor, you need to pull up everything thing. Versatility should be there. This is why I keep playing different characters,” she said. However, she doesn’t get preoccupied with the roles she plays always. “As a rule, I never take my role to home. Once the director yells ‘cut’, I will forget about the role and be my self. I am a human being, I not mere actress,” she adds.

“One of the best reviews we have received for Goodachari was from Greatandhra. It was one review that spoke about the film, instead of the hero. GreatAndhra reviews make a huge difference in the overseas market, that we have to accept and it also makes us artistes feel proud when we read such great reviews,” he praised.

Prabhas has the most amazing heart: Shraddha

Actress Shraddha Kapoor, who plays the female lead in the upcoming action-thriller “Saaho”, says her co-actor Prabhas is a huge superstar but has the most amazing heart.

“Prabhas is a huge superstar but he has the most amazing heart. I and my team were in awe of that. We had a blast,” Shraddha said.

Talking about her experience of shooting in Hyderabad, the actress said: “I will not be able to describe the experience in words. Actually, the whole team welcomed me as a part of their family. We shot this film within two years.

“In these two years, Hyderabad actually became my second home. I would look forward to going to the set every day. I would love to go there again and again because of the amount of love that I have received from them. They have been so kind to me. I felt so much at home there.”

Shraddha has back to back releases with “Saaho” hitting the theatres on August 30, and her next, “Chhichhore”, where she stars alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, releasing on September 6.

The actress sounded very happy about this, as she said: “The two movies are so different from each other and I feel lucky that I got to be a part of both.”

Even though it feels nice to see two films releasing back to back, shooting for three films at the same time was not so easy for Shraddha, the third film being “Street Dancer 3D”, where she has been paired opposite Varun Dhawan.

“I only want to say that my body is paining a lot. It has been a physically intense year for me. Street Dancer will release next year, even though we have finished shooting. I feel like relaxing a little but now the promotions (for ‘Saaho’) have started.”

Shraddha added that she is excited because she got to be a part of such amazing movies.

“‘Saaho’ is my first multi-lingual film. It is a very big thing for me to be a part of this film. I am eagerly waiting for World Saaho Day, which is on the 30th.”

“Saaho” has been directed by Sujeeth and also stars Jackie Shroff and Neil Nitin Mukesh in key roles. The film releases on August 30.
