Film Shoots – A Good Source Of Income For Metro!

Film/Documentary/Ad Shootings have been a major source of non-fare income for the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). Since the clearance was offered for shooting in 2013, A revenue of Rs 24.8 lakh has been earned by Bengaluru Metro because of the various shootings.

Indians need to apply 15 days in advance for obtaining necessary clearances from BMRCL for the shoots. Foreigners will have to move the application 30 days in advance. Conditions include Refundable Bank Guarantee of Rs 5 lakh and Rs 2.5 crore insurance cover to Metro Property.

A Fee of Rs 50,000 per hour will be charged for shooting in the Metro Station. For hiring a Train, Rs 20,000 per hour has to be paid. A concession of 25 percent is being offered for Kannada Films.

Many Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam Films have been shot in the Bengaluru Metro so far. Why don’t Hyderabad Metro learn something from it to increase the revenue?

Rakul Preet has made a risky move by signing the film Manamadhudu 2, because, at the age of romancing Naga Chaitanya, Rakul has signed the film in which she has to romance Nagarjuna. Generally, if a heroine does a film with a senior hero, no young heroes will show interest in her.

But apparently, Rakul was so impressed with the plot narrated by director Rahul Ravindran and she signed it without any second thought. The teaser of the film was released a couple of days ago but there was no glimpse of Rakul in it. Hurt by this, her fans reacted strongly on Rahul, on social media.

He then said, it was deliberate decision to hide her from the teaser and they are making a special teaser for her which will be out in three weeks. By this, Rahul hinted that Rakul’s character is quite prominent in the film. Earlier, the same strategy was followed by Rangasthalam makers where they made a special cut for Samantha’s character. Now, the same thing is being repeated for Rakul.

Krish Jagarlamudi is one of the talented filmmakers we have in Telugu film industry. Even though his last film failed at the box-office, he did not lose his market. There are producers who are willing to collaborate with him and all they need is his consent and a proper script. But, it looks like Krish is on a break and he might not be venturing into direction not anytime soon.

As per the reports, Krish is planning to take up production for quite some time now. He is in talks with all the leading digital platforms and he wanted to come up with something interesting. He is said to have prepared a script for which he penned story, screenplay, and dialogues.

Krish wants to make it as a web series under his production house First Frame Entertainments. The discussions on the same are currently in progress. A formal confirmation on the same is expected soon.

Ex-AP CM Chandrababu getting denied VIP access at Gannavaram airport has become a huge topic of discussion among political circles. Even though the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security has issued a clarification, TDP leaders are still upset.

To counter attack TDP, YSR Congress party is claimed that in the last nine years, Jagan has travelled like any other passengers and as a leader of opposition, he did not get any special treatment. YSRCP sources are also sharing the picture of Jagan who underwent security checks in airport.

However, the neutral netizens are finding fault in both TDP and YSRCP claims. They did not take sides and added that security checks at airports depend on the guidelines of respective governments. So be a Z plus security politician or an ordinary leader, anyone who is not in power has to pass through common security points in airports.

Has Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided not to entertain Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, while extending friendly hand to Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy?

The answer seems to be yes, according to political observers. Reports from New Delhi said there was no reply from the Prime Minister’s Office to the repeated requests of KCR for an appointment with Modi for a one-on-one meeting.

He, in fact, wanted to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the inauguration of Kaleshwaram project, he could not get the audience.

Though KCR is making every attempt to get closer to the Bharatiya Janata Party, including flying down to Maharashtra to invite chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to Kaleshwaram project inauguration and also felicitating Maharashtra governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao, he could not get a positive response in Delhi.

The denial of appointment has terribly hurt KCR so much so that he decided against attending fifth governing council meeting of Niti Aayog being held at Rashtrapathi Bhavan in New Delhi on Saturday evening.

In fact, KCR was getting ready to attend the meeting and prepared all the notes for his speech in the meeting.

But, suddenly, KCR decided against attending the Niti Aayog meeting as he was denied the appointment with Modi. He realized that he is not in the good books of the Centre.

The reason for Modi not evincing interest in meeting KCR is that the BJP wants to grow independently as a powerful force in Telangana and he does not the BJP to play a second fiddle to the TRS.

Apparently, Modi does not want to make the same mistake committed by BJP by joining hands with the TDP in Andhra Pradesh.

Since the Congress is down in Telangana, the BJP has fair chances of coming to power by 2019.

Security check for Naidu: Why so much fuss?

The hue and cry being raised by the Telugu Desam Party leaders over the conduct of security check for party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Gannavaram airport on Friday is totally unwarranted.

It is nothing but natural for anybody to feel pity for Naidu to undergo security check and take the bus from the lounge to the plane like any other passenger.

For a person who held the post of chief minister of the state for three terms, it is very humiliating to face such a situation.

But the airport security authorities have done their duty and have not imposed any restrictions only for the sake of Naidu.

In fact, even when former chief ministers like N Kiran Kumar Reddy or K Rosaiah travel by air, they, too, undergo all the process of security check and bus travel.

As a matter of fact, even Naidu did not create any fuss about it, because he knew rules. He quietly underwent security check and travelled by bus to the flight.

But, the TDP leaders felt very bad about their boss being frisked and checked in the same airport, which Naidu had taken special interest to develop.

The security authorities have clarified that only those VIPs having protection from Special Protection Group are exempt from routine security check and get access to travel by car from lounge up to the tarmac.

Naidu does not have SPG cover, but is protected by National Security Guards (NSG).

So, there is no need for anybody to make fuss about alleged humiliation to Naidu. And the state police will anyway take care of the protocol needs of the former chief minister!
