Arjun Reddy’s First Reaction On Kabir Singh

Share

“I want Kabir Singh to be a massive blockbuster,” says Vijay Deverakonda. The name Vijay Deverakonda itself is enough to bring the craze and madness. Being one of the most lovable South actors, Vijay also proved his unenvious and compassionate nature.

The actor is currently shooting in France and he says he cannot wait to return India and watch the remake of his blockbuster film, Kabir Singh. It is a remake of his Telugu film Arjun Reddy and the actor has already set higher standards, making it tough for Shahid to reach fans expectations.

“My dear friend Sandeep Vanga who directed me in Arjun Reddy is doing the Hindi remake. I can’t wait to see what he has done with the original material,” he said. From the beginning, Vijay has been supporting Kabir Singh team’s hard work and in fact, he said he is very proud to watch the trailer. “I did what I had to in Arjun Reddy. I am sure Shahid has done something exceptional in Kabir Singh. Shahid is an actor whose work I’ve liked ever since I saw him in Ishq Vishq,” he added.

Saaho Is Not The First Film To Go There!

Share

Saaho is the upcoming film of ‘Baahubali’ Prabhas who is looking forward to taking his pan Indian image to the next level by delivering this kick-ass action entertainer in the next couple of months. With high octane action sequences, stunning casting and a terrific technical team behind them, surely the film is likely to make it big.

These days, however, any minuscule update regarding such big projects get huge hype. One such hype going on about Saaho right now is that the film unit is going to Austria to shoot songs. Apparently, the publicity is that Prabhas has handpicked this country for shooting after he got impressed by locales of that European country which he has seen in movies like Ek Tha Tiger. Also, some tweets are doing rounds that Saaho is the first film to go to Austria for songs.

Telugu cinema lovers are quick to condemn on this, as they say, we have our own Telugu films shot in Austria long ago and recently as well. While a couple of Nagarjuna’s Manmadhudu songs are shot in Austria, even Akhil went to the same locales to shoot for a song in his debut film.

Then the film has Sai Pallavi in yet another powerful role after Fidaa as she’s most likely to be seen as a Naxalite in this vintage drama that needs one hell of a performance from the actors. As the film is going to be launched, we have to see if it will hit screens in 2019 itself.

Kiara & Kajal reveal their first love affairs

Share

While many celebrities hesitate to talk about their personal lives and past relationships, the latest trend is that heroines are coming forward in sharing their ‘Alleged Affair’, ‘Reportedly dating’, ‘Just Friends’, and ‘First love’ matters to their fans. The stuff is more newsworthy than any other as we get to know our favourite actors’ personal lives a bit deeper.

One of such heroines were Kiara Advani, who recently spoke about her first love ever. The actress said that her first love happened in her 10th class and she loved the boy a lot. But as she was the only girl in her class and her parents being conservative, she had to divert her mind. She revealed that her mother made her break up with him to concentrate on her studies at that age.

On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal also stepped forward to talk about her first crush. Her words did create a sensation all over the internet. Kajal said that she used to date a guy in the very beginning of her film career. However, she broke up with him for many compulsive reasons. One of the reasons she revealed was that the guy did not have a good impression on the film industry and asked her to stay away from choosing her career. Moreover, her busy schedule has also caused a stake in their relationship.

Not only for the common people, even celebrities have heartbreak, however, they continue to rise even after personal fallouts. People heal and grieve in their own ways and heroines who are speaking their hearts out on their first innocent love are being highly lauded for their boldness.

Samantha Brings Her ‘Soul’ Back, Avoids Risk

Share

Queen bee Samantha is coming up with “Oh Baby” in the first week of July and already she started promoting the film a month in advance. With the whole of this Korean remake literally running on Samantha’s shoulders, there is too much at stake and there is no scope for anything to go wrong.

When the teaser of the film Oh Baby, though many got excited by it, there are doubts here and there that Samantha’s voice is not doing the magic. In Samantha’s original voice there is that unavoidable Tamil slang that makes her unable to stress and ace Telugu words properly. Though singer Chinmayi is known as Samantha’s soul as she lends her voice for this top heroine, Sam always wanted to prove her voice acting skills. Perhaps that is the reason she tried it.

However, after watching the final copy, Oh Baby team is said to have decided to go with Chinmayi. For the last two days, Chinmayi is here in Hyderabad finishing the dubbing work as she not only gave her voice for the dialogues but also song couple of songs of the film.

‘The Big Bash’ of the World Cup 2019

Share

England’s famous ground, the Old Trafford in Manchester, has been a historic venue for Indian cricket. There have been some wonderful moments and equally depressing ones as well. But, overall, India has come out with some magnificent performances there.

On Sunday, India will play their most important encounter in the World Cup 2019 against Pakistan. This for the Indian and Pakistan fans and followers is what could be termed as “The Big Bash”. The winning of the World Cup is revered, but a loss for either side in the battle of the two Asian giants is unacceptable.

India, in all their previous encounters against Pakistan in the World Cups, have never tasted defeat. Twenty years ago in England during the World Cup match in 1999 in the midst of the Kargil war, India not only won their World Cup match at the Old Trafford against Pakistan but also stood victorious in the battlefield.

An Indians first tryst with the Old Trafford was when Ranjitsinhji, the then Prince of Nawanagar, now Jamnagar, scored a brilliant century for England on his debut. The committee of the Manchester based club selected a coloured person to play for their team after receiving acceptance from the Australian captain. Ranji, as he was popularly called, was the first non-white to ever compete in a white dominated sport, a great achievement which most Indian cricket historians fail to acknowledge.

India’s first overseas Test century was also scored at the Old Trafford in 1936. India’s flamboyant opening batsman, Syed Mushtaq Ali, was the man to achieve it. His opening partner Vijay Merchant, who was considered to be one of India’s best technically perfect batsman, followed him thereafter and their opening double century partnership is still something to revere.

In 1959, the stylish Abbas Ali Baig made his century on debut at the Old Trafford at the age of 20. There have been many such wonderful and determined knocks played thereafter, but the one still remembered is the century scored by Sunil Gavaskar in 1974, on a cold, windy and cloudy summer day.

India, in the 1983 World Cup semi-final match against England, came through victorious at the Old Trafford. Beating the strong England side at home is what made one believe that India did have the fire power to win the cup then.

India’s poster boy wicket-keeper, Farokh Engineer, kept Manchester ticking in the hearts of many Indian fans. He played as a professional for Lancashire for eight years when their team was at its strongest and best under the captaincy of the West Indian, Clive Lloyd.

Manchester is home for many Asians. The city that became famous for its cotton textile lends its name to the “Manchester city of India, Ahmedabad”. The century-old Asian residence along with the thousands of fans from around the world will throng to each and every seat at the stadium.

The biggest battle of the cricket World Cup 2019, one hopes does not get ruined on account of rain. The International Cricket Council (ICC) have erred in scheduling an important cricket tournament like the World Cup. Without an option of an extra day, the English weather at the beginning of June is always a concern of it being affected by rain.

The ICC should have scheduled the most prestigious cricket tournament in the month of July and August, when the weather significantly improves or insisted on ground covers at all the venues that were hosting the matches. The tournament is held to celebrate the cricket champion of teams competing on a level playing field and not a tick mark for the ICC to complete.

India, have in the last two years, shown that on paper they are a better side than Pakistan. With two victories under their belt, the Indian side looks confident and raring to go. Pakistan, on the other hand, were demolished by the West Indies and then beaten by the professional Australian outfit. Pakistan need to win the encounter against India desperately as a loss will then require them to win all their remaining matches. The mental aspect of it magnifies when during the match things are not going ones’ way. Pakistan, have against India in all their previous World Cup encounters, lost matches in their anxiousness to win.

The area that Pakistan have shown the maximum weakness has been in their fielding and especially their catching. In the past, dropping crucial catches has played a big part in their loss. The present team showed the same characteristics, when they dropped simple catches in their match against Australia recently as well.

The match has two brilliant batsmen in Virat Kohli from India and Babar Azam from Pakistan. The batting of both their teams will revolve around them, as both are technically blessed with skill and strokes. India will depend on their star bowler Jasprit Bumrah to spearhead their attack whereas, Mohammad Amir, the Pakistan speedster, seems to have got back his confidence and rhythm and could be a major threat to the strong Indian batting unit. There is not much difference in the overall strength of both the teams and that is precisely why this encounter will be great to watch.

This match is not a do or die for India. A win here should make their road to the semi finals quite certain. I feel this confident mental advantage is what should give India just the boost needed to beat Pakistan.

Cricket is an uncertain game and predicting a winner is never easy. But, the team that catches well will be the winner, after all “catches do win matches”.

TV9 logo will remain with RP?

Share

Here is yet another interesting news, or gossip, with regard to former chief executive officer of popular Telugu television news channel TV9 V Ravi Prakash.

According to these reports, investigating agencies probing the alleged cheating and conspiracy by Ravi Prakash, as alleged by the new management of the channel Alanda Media and Entertainment Private Limited, have found that all the rights on the trademark design and logo of TV9 are vested with Ravi Prakash and not the management.

Reports said documents revealed that it was Ravi Prakash who was the rightful owner of the logo and design of TV9 under the Copy Right Act and that he had given the logo to the previous management only on lease for a certain period which is being renewed periodically.

“So, the channel management doesn’t have the absolute rights over the logo and design and Ravi Prakash can withdraw the lease as and when he wants and that is what he had done after the clash with the new management. He has not sold the logo to anybody else but has assigned it to Mojo TV for a short period for Rs 99,000 to be on the safe side,” sources said.

Having realised that it has no right on the logo, the new management is now planning to rename the channel and do re-branding of it, sources added.

YSRC out to disturb Naidu’s mental peace!

Share

It looks like YSR Congress party does not want to allow its arch rival Telugu Desam Party president and leader of opposition N Chandrababu Naidu to have mental peace and sound sleep even after the defeat.

On Thursday, YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy hinted that some TDP legislators were in touch with him but he would not take them into YSRC unless they resign from their assembly membership.

He indicated that though he was capable of splitting the TDP and deny leader of opposition status to Naidu, he won’t do it.

“I will allow you to sit in that chair,” he said, thereby sending the message that Naidu would have to continue as leader of opposition at YSRC’s mercy.

On Friday, YSRC legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy went a step ahead, stating that at least eight MLAs from TDP were in touch with his party.

“Among these eight TDP MLAs, two are in touch with me directly and all of them are ready to join YSRCP anytime,” he said.

He even said one of the TDP MLAs willing to join the YSRC was a powerful leader at the state level.

“He and other TDP MLAs are asking the party tickets in next assembly elections and also a priority in developmental works,” he said, but did not reveal who the MLAs want to join TDP were.

Kotamreddy further said not just MLAs, even a senior Rajya Sabha member was also in touch with the party for the last two months.

“Similarly, many TDP leaders at the grassroots level are also want to join YSRCP,” he asserted.

Definitely, such statements would disturb the mind of Naidu, who will now start enquiring as to who these prospective defectors are.
