Modern Day Chanakya Will Not Be A Part Of Govt?
New Delhi: There has been much speculation about the role of Amit Shah in the new government especially since he won his handsome victory in Gandhinagar.
Sources however reveal that the modern-day Chanakya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s closest associate, will not be a part of the new government.
Those close to him insist that given he himself is the dispensation along with Modi, it does not befit his status to become a cabinet minister.
Who knows, even greater rewards may await him in the future?
Instead, Shah will continue to manage the formidable BJP machinery as party president, and the two men from Gujarat will thus jointly steer India’s destiny over the next five years.
Three Directors, And Their Best Time To Retire
When directors are in the top form of their career, surely they will be delivering hit films even if the story of those films is pretty ordinary. That’s what happens with the likes of Rajamouli, Trivikram and Sukumar as well. But what about those directors who are on the edge of it?
In recent times, proven directors like Sreenu Vaitla, VV Vinayak and Puri Jagan are tumbling big time at the box office. Their films are lacking the pep they used to have once upon a time. All the last films of these directors including Vaitla’s Amar Akbar Antony, Vinayak’s Intelligent and Puri’s Mehbooba are huge duds. That’s what is an indication of the time for them, says cinema observers.
Though Puri Jagan is coming up with iSmart Shankar, and Vinayak – Vaitla looking forward to heroes, one more flop will add more woes to their remarkable achievements as star directors. Rather making many flops and losing that respect, it’s better to retire and give directions to youngsters about direction. At the same time, there are many other former star directors like Krishna Vamsi, Dasaradh and others who are still hanging around for a chance, and they too should consider the same.
All said and done, if any of this director could reinvent himself to the tune of the present generation, then surely they could come up with flying colours. Else, ufff!!
Unhappy Jr NTR Says He Will Only Take Care
Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram, who visited NTR ghat early today to pay floral tributes to their veteran grandfather and former CM NTR on his 97th birth anniversary, were disappointed, unhappy over no floral decoration to NTR’s grave (burial chamber). Jr NTR was seen very upset and said to have told that he will only “take care hereafter”. NTR and Kalyan Ram have immediately arranged large number of flowers and made sure that NTR Ghat was beautifully decorated with flowers. NTR expressed his dissent over “negligence” and “lack of arrangements”.
After TDP was routed in Telangana, the party leaders, activists are largely inactive. Even the party tasted resounding defeat in Andhra Pradesh adding to the woes. Although Naidu gave a call to all party leaders, workers to celebrate NTR’s 97th birth anniversary in a grand way across the Telugu states, only some AP TDP leaders have made the necessary measures. Majority party leaders and workers are in deep shock over the defeat and are yet to come to terms with the electoral loss.
While fans are hoping that Jr NTR would return to TDP and change the party’s fortunes, NTR’s latest statement that “I Will Only Take Care” is creating a lot of buzz in film, political circles.
Will Jagan get rid of Polavaram burden?
As per the AP Reorganisation Act, the Polavaram irrigation project on Godavari river was declared as a national project and it is the responsibility of the Centre to take up and complete the project.
While announcing the special package in lieu of special category status, the Centre also agreed to provide 100 per cent funding to the project.
However, under pressure from Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the project was handed over to the state to oversee execution.
There were allegations that Naidu had taken up the responsibility of the project only for the sake of kickbacks from the contractors and escalated the project cost abnormally to benefit the contractors.
Now, the situation has become reverse. YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-designate Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is likely to get rid of the Polavaram burden and give it back to the centre for monitoring and execution of the project.
“It is the responsibility of the Centre to complete the project as per the deadline. If there is any cost escalation, the Centre has to bear the cost. All that we want is to see that the project is completed,” Jagan is learnt to have told the offcials.
Jagan told media in New Delhi that he would order a probe if there were any irregularities in the implementation of the project.
“If there is a need to involve the central government to call for reverse tenders (for the Polavaram project), that will also be done. We do not mind. All I want is that the Polavaram project should be completed in a time-bound manner,” he said.
P&P to Get Good posts in YS Jagan’s Government!
As YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to rule Andhra Pradesh for next five years as Chief Minister, speculations are doing rounds as to who would get the plum posts from Tollywood industry in his government.
It is certain that Posani Krishna Murali and comedian Prudhvi would definitely get some posts as they have been the loyal supporters to Y S Jagan in his tough phase in the last four or five years.
Posani’s caustic remarks on TDP and Chandrababu Naidu hit the headlines many a times. He always stood in frontline to attack verbally on TDP.
It is expected that Posani would get chairperson of Film Development Corporation or similar posts.
Prudhvi is likely to be made MLC.
Fans Scared Of Pawan Kalyan’s Next Move
With Janasena turning out to be huge disaster in its debut, Pawan Kalyan is left clueless about his next political move.
There could have been some respite if Pawan managed to win in one of the two seats that he contested from. Assembly sessions would have been fun to watch for his fans.
The defeat of Pawan Kalyan is so hurting that Janasainiks are not even congratulating the lone winner from JSP, Mr. Rapaka Vara Prasad.
Meanwhile, media is speculating that Pawan Kalyan is planning to make a comeback in films as he doesn’t have much to do on the political front for the next couple of years. But fans don’t want that to happen.
Except for a few fans that love to watch Pawan on screen, most of his fans are hoping that he would stick to politics and never comes back to film industry again.
Fans believe that Pawan Kalyan could make a mark in politics if he continues to fight for people’s cause for the next five years.
They want to see him working hard like YS Jagan, who has proved that constant efforts can fetch you victory against all odds.
Pawan is yet to come out in open and announce his future plans to the media and fans.
We don’t know if Pawan Kalyan is aware of his fans wish or not.
Ghibran or Thaman for Saaho?
Prabhas’s “Saaho” team has faced unexpected crisis in the form of music directors.Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy, the music directors of Bollywood hits such as ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Don’, have opted out of “Saaho” in the last minute owing creative differences with director Sujith.
The team is now trying to rope in either Gibran and Thaman for the background score for the film as both the music directors had earlier worked with the production house UV Creations.
Ghibran gave music to director Sujith’s first film “Run Raja Run” and he will be composing one song for “Saaho” as well.
While UV Creations is preferring Thaman for the background score, director Sujith is in favour of Ghibran as he gels with this music director well.
UV believes Thaman would give terrific BG for such a mammoth project. A final call will be taken.
Interestingly, the film will have songs composed by different music directors, not one music composer.
“Saaho” starring Prabhas in the action role is in its last stage of shoot. Shraddha Kapoor is the heroine. It is slated for August 15, 2019 release.
Putta refuses to quit TTD chairman post!
Contrary to the conventions, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav and some other board members on Tuesday refused to resign from their posts, triggering a new controversy.
Apart from Yadav, many other TTD trust board members also declined to resign from their posts, following the defeat of the Telugu Desam Party in the just concluded assembly elections.
Only one member Challa Babu submitted his resignation to the Executive Officer A K Singhal.
“Ours is not a political appointment. We were appointed by the government not the party. If the new government decides to abolish the board, we shall give up our posts,” Yadav told media in Tirumala, after the TTD trust board meeting.
The refusal of Yadav to quit his post caused embarrassment to the officials in the wake of arrival of chief minister-designate and YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to Tirumala later in the evening.
The meeting was convened to take some crucial decisions, including exoneration of the TTD in the controversial transfer of 1496 kgs of gold from Chennai to Tirupati on April 18.
The gold was seized by Tamil Nadu police while it was being transported from Punjab National Bank in Chennai to Tirupati allegedly without valid permits and security.
However, the board meeting could not take place, as executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal and JEO Srinivasa Raju, who attended the meeting walked out after a few minutes and no other official turned up at the meeting.
It is a convention that whenever a new government is formed, the political appointees made by the previous government resign from their posts as a matter of principle.
Even senior Tollywood director K Raghavendra Rao also resigned from the post of chairman of Sri Venkateswara Bhakti channel. Similarly, Tirupati Urban Development Authority Chairman Narasimha Yadav.
Tirupati Gangamma temple trust Chairmna RC MuniKrishan and members, Vijayawada Kanaka Durga temple trust board chairman Gouranga Babu also resigned their posts.
Ravi Prakash moves SC for bail!
Former chief executive officer of TV9 television channel V Ravi Prakash is making last ditch attempts from being arrested by the police in connection with the criminal cases filed against him by the new management of the channel.
With almost all the doors for escaping from the arrest being closed, Ravi Prakash on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court seeking anticipatory bail as a last resort. The bail petition will come up for hearing later in the day.
It may be mentioned that the Telangana high court last week struck down the anticipatory bail petition of Ravi Prakash, stating that there were no reasons to believe that he would be arrested if he cooperated with the police investigating the case.
The Cybercrime police of Cyberabad served a notice on him under Section 41A of Criminal Procedure Code in crime no 84/19 May 21, asking him to appear before them on May 23.
But, Ravi Prakash did not turn up before the police on the pretext that his petition was pending with National Company Law Tribunal for disposal.
But on Friday last, the NCLT bench struck down the petition filed by SAIF III Mauritius Company Limited against Associated Broadcasting Company Private Limited (APCL), the promoter of TV9, questioning the sale of majority stakes to Alanda Media.
Since SAIF has finally agreed to the deal between ABCL and Alanda Media, its petition has become infructuous. The NCLT gave clearance to the deal between the two companies.
It also struck down the petition filed by actor Shivaji questioning the deal and change of management without intimating the shareholders.
So, Ravi Prakash had exhausted all options to avoid police interrogation.
As a last resort, he moved the Supreme Court for avoiding being arrested, since he was apprehensive that the moment he appears before the court, he would be arrested.
Mahesh Babu Continues to hype !

Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently on a family holiday. He has taken a break before starting his next film with Anil Ravipudi.Despite being on a holiday, Mahesh is still promoting Maharshi by adding hashtag #CelebratingMaharshi to every tweet of his.
Maharshi has ran out of gas long back and its business is closed in most of the areas.Except for Nizam and Uttarandhra, both distributed by Dil Raju, Maharshi hasn’t broke even anywhere. It is a huge flop in Ceded and overseas.
Despite the average talk and collections (compared to its pre release business), Mahesh tried his best to project it as a blockbuster. But the bluff got exposed when the overenthusiastic producers released posters calling it as the highest grossing movie in Mahesh’s career in a week.
The film’s collections dropped after its second weekend and it was all downhill from there. But Mahesh is still adding #CelebratingMaharshi to all his tweets so that people would believe that it is a hit.It has surely done well compared to the word of mouth, but Maharshi is just a mediocre film on all fronts.
