On this day, 18 years ago Charmme Kaur faced camera for the first time and she was surrounded by 500 junior artists in Mehboob studios.
She promised to her parents that she will take part in just one day shoot and return home. Her brother was also with her on the first day of shoot.
At the end of the day, Charmme received Rs 200 as remuneration and that is when she decided “Main Heroine Banungi.”
After that Charmme made her way to Tollywood and in no time, she paired with all the top stars. In her span of nearly two decades, Charmme featured in 55 films. Now this Punjabi beauty has turned as producer.

Special Category Status is no more an issue!
The Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh had become a big emotive issue before the assembly elections.
The YSR Congress party MPs had quit their Lok Sabha seats in protest against the Centre’s adamant attitude in denying the special category status, while the Telugu Desam Party took a U-turn on its earlier stand and pulled out of the NDA to launch a tirade against the BJP and Narendra Modi.
But, surprisingly the issue did not figure much during the campaign of any political party – whether it was YSR Congress party or Telugu Desam Party.
The manifestos of both the parties conveniently ignored the demand for special category status, though the leaders talked about it occasionally.
Now that YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is coming to power in Andhra Pradesh, one would expect that he would fight with the Centre on the special category status.
But Jagan has realised that it is going to a futile exercise, the BJP got huge mandate from the people with over 300 MP seats, besides another 50 plus seats for the NDA partners.
He indicated to the media in New Delhi that there won’t be any benefit in fighting with the Centre on the issue.
“Had the BJP got 250 seats, we would have put forth the demand for SCS as a condition to support the Modi government. But it did not happen. So, there is no point in fighting with the Centre on this issue,” he said.
Jagan, however, sought to appease the people that he would continue to raise the SCS issue till 2024 elections, whenever he goes to Delhi seeking support.
“This is the first meeting with the PM and he will meet him around 30 to 50 times over 5 years tenure. Whenever I meet him, I will remind him about special category status,” Jagan said.
It clearly indicated that demand for SCS will not be in Jagan’s priority list. By the time the next elections are held, SCS will become a dead demand!
ABN RK’s pachangam: Lokesh has bright future, KTR has not!
TDP and Chandrababu’s ‘die hard fan’ ABN Andhra Jyothy Radhakrishna has come up with his own ‘panchangam’ predictions on the future of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh politics.
In his weekly column in ‘yellow media’, known as Kotha Paluku (aka Chetha Paluku), Radhakrsihna shamelessly predicted that Nara Lokesh has brignt future in AP politcs but KTR’s political career is nearing end.
Even school going kids may laugh at this, but Radhakrishna least bothers to show his affection towards TDP and Chandrababu.
Lokesh, being CM Naidu’s son and minister in Naidu’s cabinet, lost Assembly election from Mangalagiri seat in a humiliating manner in the hands of YSRCP.
But still, according to Radhakrishna, Lokesh will become ‘saviour’ of TDP in future and TDP leaders and cadre should not worry about their future.
For RK, KTR failed as TRS working president as TRS lost Lok Sabha polls and has no future in TS politics.
Is TRS winning 9 out of 16 Lok Sabha seats it aimed amounts to losing elections?
Is KTR winning Assembly polls consecutively without facing a single defeat since 2008 amounts to failure?
Is KTR winning accolades globally as IT minister amounts to failure?
Is KTR successfully leading TRS to victory in GHMC polls in 2016 by bagging 100 out of 150 seats where TRS did not win a single corporator earlier amounts to failure?
RK, who claims himself to be the 40-year industry in journalism, is bringing disrepute to media with his ‘yellow writings’, even after TDP was buried kilometres deep by YSRCP in recent polls in AP and TDP ran away from contesting Lok Sabha polls in Telangana.
Star Kid Debut, Director Files Case On Producer!
Rajasekhar’s daughter Shivani’s debut film 2 States was grandly launched last year. However, the film has been in news for wrong reasons. After completing two schedules, the film’s shoot was delayed. The makers had then reasoned that as delay in the US visas for cast, crew. Now the latest we hear is that the film’s debutante director Venkat Reddy Kuncham has filed a case against producer MLV Satyanarayana aka Sattibabu.
According to director Venkat, creative differences popped up between producer Satyanarayana and him. He alleged that producer has mounted pressure on him to make important changes in the story and he is against to it. He alleged that producer Satyanarayana is spreading negative propaganda against him in social media platforms, some news papers and further alleged that producer is trying to “remove” him from the film.
Venkat claimed that he alone has ‘sole’ rights to direct the 2 States as per the agreement he had in Mumbai. Venkat claimed that he is not just director, but also a partner and profit holder in the film. Stating that 70 percent of the film’s shoot is wrapped up, Venkat said legal action will be taken against any director who comes forward to direct the balance 30 percent of shoot. He said the case is in civil court and the next hearing is on 30th May, 2019.
Meanwhile, producer Satyanarayana is yet to respond to director Venkat’s allegations and the court case. Adivi Sesh and Shivani are also yet to respond on the developments. More details are awaited.
They Are Waiting For My Wrong Move -Krish
“There are many people out there who are waiting for me to make another wrong move. And they are throwing their arrows in the dark to check if they could hit me. But I’ve not yet finalised my next film” said director Krish, sharing his thoughts. But what are those ‘wrong moves’ Krish is talking about?
In recent times, Krish got a bad name after he walked out of Manikarnika and heroine Kangana Ranaut used this to her advantage and project a dud film as a great classic. At the same time, many wondered why Krish also shot the film in such pathetic fashion as he claimed that the whole first half belongs to his ideas and talents.
And then, he ditched everything to take up NTR biopic, but both Kathanayakudu and Mahanayakudu have ended up as disasters, leaving Krish into thinking. One wonders if Krish is saying that Manikarnika was a wrong move or NTR biopic was, as he says that someone is waiting for another wrong move from him. By the way, who is waiting?
Krish says that he hasn’t decided on his next. But he neither denied nor agreed that his next is going to a Hindi film with Akshay Kumar again.
Rakul On Her Long Gap In Telugu
After Spyder debacle, Rakul Preet is missing in action in Telugu. Although she is seen in a guest role in NTR : Kathanayakudu as Sridevi, even the film failed to do magic for Rakul as well as the producers. Since then, Rakul is not seen in Telugu.
Of late, she is busy in some Tamil films and notable Hindi films including her latest release De De Pyaar De. While she returns to Telugu with Telugu-dubbed Tamil film NGK, Rakul Preet responds on her “long gap” in Telugu.
“There is no special reason as such. There are only 365 days in a year. When you’re working in various languages, gap is common. This year, I will have six releases including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.”
Meanwhile, Rakul has only one straight Telugu film i.e Manmadhudu 2. And Rakul is really excited about the film as she is acting alongside Nagarjuna. She said her role in Manmadhudu 2 will be new, young and different. Looks like, Rakul is pinning high hopes on Manmadhudu 2 that it will get her back into limelight in Telugu.
Tollywood, Are You Noticing Kumari?
Pinning all the hopes on the 24 Kisses she has given to a relatively unpopular hero, Mumbai girl Hebah Khaleed Patel is struggling to get her foot right in Tollywood at the moment. The ‘Kumari 21 F’ star is trying her level best to create buzz around her.
Every heroine these days is taking this ‘only’ path to make their presence felt and it is none other than posting their hottest pictures on Instagram. While Samantha started this trend, the likes of Kajal Agarwal and Disha Patani took it no next level. And now, Hebah has also joined this bandwagon.
Posing in a yellow coloured outfit, here comes the dusky siren giving a peek of her terrific curves. And as her beautiful charms are finding it tough to adjust in that free flowing dress, one could understand how Hebah is projecting herself right now.
Well, we have to see if someone will give her a break. Are you noticing her Tollywood?
