Produced by Karan Johar as a sequel to his own film, this film is being directed by Puneeth Malhotra of I Hate Love Stories and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein fame. The film features 100-crore club hero Tiger Shroff in the lead, while Tara Sutaria and Ananya Pandey are making their debut as leading ladies.

Except a song or two in Vinaya Vidheya Rama and F2, both the Sankranthi releases have seen some mediocre songs delivered to Telugu audiences. Same is the case with Summer films too as both Chitralahari and Maharshi did not have many good songs. Yes, we are talking about films scored by Devi Sri Prasad.

We have to frankly admit that those days are gone where six (or five) songs in an album scored by Devi Sri Prasad turn to be super hits. In the recent times, only the songs of Khaidi No 150 has worked out that way, but all other films got some average tunes from this super talented composer.

Wonder if too much pressure of work is making him delivery ordinary stuff or he became an overspent force that music career has reached that fag end, DSP is disappointing music lovers back to back. Though many thought that Maharshi songs will wobble in minds after watching them visually, nothing such actually happened.

Its high time that Devi looks into his work thrice as his fans don’t want him to end up as those legends who delivered bad music at the end of their career.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s recent film Maharshi opened with a bang in all the territories of the world.The film collected a theatrical share of Rs 6.38 crores in Nizam territory and stood next to Baahubali: The Conclusion.

The film surpassed the first day numbers of Baahubali: The Beginning in the territory. Maharshi stood super strong across all the regions and collected huge numbers on its first day.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film featured Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in the lead roles.

Hyderabad’s RGI Airport Ranked 8th Best in the World

With the eighth position, the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad has been ranked among the top ten best airports in the world in a survey conducted by AirHelp.

The Hamad International Airport in Qatar has topped the list followed by Japan’s Tokyo and Greece’s Athens International airports.

On the other hand, London’s Gatwick and the Billy Bishop Toronto City in Canada have been named among the worst airports globally.

Among the airlines, Qatar Airways has secured the top position for the second consecutive year, followed by American Airlines, Aeromexico, SAS Scandinavian Airlines,and Qantas in the top five. While at the bottom of the list were Ryanair, Korean Air, Kuwait Airways, the United Kingdom’s (UK) EasyJet and Thomas Cook Airlines.

As per the data collected by AirHelp, the New Jersey Hub was ranked as the worst airport in the United States in 2019.

AirHelp is an organisation that specialises in the rights of air-travellers and seeks compensation in cases of delays or cancellations.

Jagga Reddy readies ground to join TRS!

It is more or less confirmed that Telangana Congress MLA from Sangareddy Turpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy will join the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi very soon.

This was hinted at by Jagga Reddy himself while speaking to media in Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday.

“It will be decided between May 25 and 30 as to whether I will be in Gandhi Bhavan or Telangana Bhavan,” he told media.

He said he had received invitation from the relatives of TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao.

“If the relatives meet me again and extend invitation to join the TRS, I will take a decision to shift loyalties to the TRS. Till then, all the talk about my defection to the TRS is rubbish,” he said.

He further said he had won the recent elections on his own strength rather than on the strength of the Congress party.

“I am not like other MLAs who won on party banner. I have grown as independent leader on my strength,” he said.

Jagga Reddy also made it clear that he would abide by the party decisions only up to 50 per cent.

“The remaining 50 per cent of the decisions are my own. This holds true for any party that I join. Even in Congress party, I follow my own decisions, rather than that of the party,” he said.

The Sangareddy MLA said the Congress in Telangana would survive and get back into the safe zone only if the United Progressive Alliance comes to power at the Centre.

“I don’t know whether the people of Telangana had got any benefit from the bifurcation of combined Andhra Pradesh or not, but the Congress has heavily lost politically. In the Congress party, it is difficult to reach the high command.

“We have to depend on the local leadership, but we are not sure whether our message will really reach the top,” Jagga Reddy observed.

Jagan facing nuisance from party leaders

The elections to Andhra Pradesh state assembly were over on April 11 and it will take another two weeks for the declaration of results to decide who will form the next government in the state.

YSR Congress party is pretty confident that it will come to power after May 23. Many other election surveys also indicated the same, though the exact outcome of exit polls will be known only on May 19.

But, there is always a slip between cup and lip. The TDP leaders are also confident that their party will scrape through in the elections and will retain power. So, it is better to wait and watch till May 23, when the results will be out.

However, the YSR Congress party leaders seem to be very eager in having their share in power and have started lobbying for the same.

The Lotus Pond office in Hyderabad is being flooded with the prospective MLA candidates who are making their own efforts to reserve their berths in the new cabinet.

Then there are other party leaders from top to bottom, who have been struggling hard for the party for several years. They are lobbying for important posts and positions in the government and government corporations.

Even senior officials of the Andhra Pradesh government are secretly doing rounds to Lotus Pond for prime postings, if Jagan comes to power.

These leaders have become a big nuisance for Jagan, as everybody comes to him and submits an application. He cannot talk rudely with them, as they worked hard for the party for several years.

He has been patiently telling them to wait till the elections results are announced and promising them to take care of their interests.

Yet, they have not stopped bothering him. Wherever he goes, whether it is to Dehradun for a holidaying or a cinema in a multiplex in Hyderabad, some leader or the other appears before Jagan to put forth their requests. Though it is irritating for Jagan, he is helpless.

Well, these are very common in any political party that has chances of coming to power. And Jagan has no option but to bear with them!

Modi on Time magazine cover with controversial headline

American news magazine Time has featured Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the cover page of its May 20 issue with a headline that may create controversy across the India amid the election season.

The headline reads “India’s Divider in Chief” that is and carries a caricature of the Prime Minister criticises Modi.

This title pertains to the article in the magazine, written by Aatish Taseer with the headline “Can the World’s Largest Democracy Endure Another Five Years of a Modi Government?”

The write up compares former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s idea of secularism with the prevailing social “stress” under Modi who “demonstrated no desire to foster brotherly feelings between Hindus and Muslims,” the article read.

Besides, the article it also recalled the Gujarat riots that allegedly claimed lives of scores of people.

The whole article is based on the Hindu-Muslim relations and blames Modi for being pro-Hindu.

It is not the first time when the magazine has come with critical commentary about Modi. In its published article in 2012, the magazine described him as a controversial, ambitious and a shrewd politician.

SITA Trailer: Familiar Setting, Interesting Characters

Teja’s upcoming film SITA has interesting lead characters in a familiar setting. Contract marriage seems to be the theme with a villain modeled after Ravana.

Here Rama (Bellamkonda Srinivas) is an innocent yet a strong guy, while Sita (Kajal) is a selfish and arrogant lady.

Ravana (Sonu Sood) comes to take away SITA either hook or by crook. Teja has given away the plot of SITA in the trailer by showing key scenes and dialogues. However, ot still intrigues the viewers to know the complete story of it.

Kajal seems to have gotten an author backed role while Bellamkomda looks different from his previous films. We have to wair for the full feature to see if he has pulled it or not.

Sonu Sood is good as the bad guy and dialogues are raw and striking compared to other mainstream movies.

SITA promises to be a contemporary film with regular themes and setting.

Has Teja delivered another mass entertainer like Nene Raju Nene Mantri? We will know it on May 24. The film is bankrolled by AK Entertainments.

The Box Office clash of Hrithik Roshan-starrer ‘Super 30’ and Kangana Ranaut-starrer ‘Mental Hai Kya’ has been avoided. Hrithik Roshan announced officially that he took the decision to shift the release date of his movie to save himself from mental trauma and toxic mental violence. He claimed to have requested his Producers to postpone the release to avoid clash.

Guess, How did Kangana Ranaut responded? Here It Is: ‘While Mental Hai Kya is releasing on July 26th, Hrithik Roshan, Madhu Mantena and Ekta Kapoor has collectively decided to postpone the release of ‘Super 30’ last week itself. I don’t know why he wrote this sob story but I am glad ‘Mental Hai Kya’ is getting a solo release. I salute my producer Ekta Kapoor for making her way in this male-dominated industry, its not easy to do what she does…I applaud her courage and power’.

War of words between Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut has been continuing for so long than anybody has expected.
