Ram Charan – Sukumar’s Rangasthalam has been creating storm at box office in the domestic circuit as well as in overseas.The film is having a dream run in USA. It had collected close to $ 2Million by Saturday and it may have crossed the milestone as we report this.

On Saturday Rangasthalam grossed $645,114 to take its tally to $1,939,890. The film is set to cross $ 3 Million with Movie Pass coming into play from its second week.Sukumar’s films usually do well in US, but this is way beyond expectations. Trade estimated it to collect $ 2Million in its complete run, but it has reached there in three days.

Ram Charan entered Million Dollar club with his previous film Dhruva only. Now he has a $ 2Million Dollar movie under his name.The actor had been desperately trying to conquer overseas market and now he has done it in style. It would be interesting to see how his next film fares here as it is directed by Boyapati Srinu, whose films don’t sell here like they do in Telugu states.

Few Bollywood filmmakers, including Karan Johar, showed interest to sign agreement with Prabhas to introduce him in Hindi with a straight Hindi film. However, the actor preferred to first complete Saaho in Sujeeth’s direction.

Before start of shoot, makers of Saaho shot a teaser and released it few months ago. But, this failed to create any curiosity on the project which remained unsold in Hindi and other languages.

Dubai officials refusing to give permission to shoot an action sequence in highway was another setback for the film.In fact, shoot schedule has been long-delayed as they had literally waited nearly a month days for approval from authorities. A huge set is erected in RFC to film these high intense action episodes.

When focus of media is shifted to other big ventures, makers of Saaho have concluded to release a new promo which they expect to give fitting reply to all the doubts over the movie. They are said to be planning to release the new promo soon.How this is going to assist the film?

Director Sukumar took inspiration from old classics like Mana Voori Pandavulu to make Rangasthalam which is showing sold trending at the global box office.

The director took special care in designing characters of the leads. Ram Charan, Aadhi Pinisetty, Samantha and Jagapathi Babu are lauded for their stellar show.

Coming to the actual point, Jagapathi Babu’s character in Rangasthalam reminds us of Rao Gopal Rao in director Bapu’s films.

Though this character speaks less and won’t participate in the activity of violence, a frightful atmosphere is created whenever JP appears on screen.

There is only single episode of JP brutally beating and executing his henchman which demonstrates evil side of him. In rest of the scenes he just gives instructions to his assistants.

Jagapathi Babu’s character makes great impact on Rangasthalam and Tollywood is of an opinion that industry has got a complete villain in form of JP.

After almost a gap of ten years, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan made his strong comeback into the industry with Gabbar Singh, which is the official remake of Salman Khan’s Dabaang. But the actor failed to recreate the same magic with Sardaar Gabbar Singh, which came out as a franchise sequel. Here is an interesting snippet of the third film in this gang.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is currently in Abu Dhabi for the shooting of Race 3 and even before its release, there is news that the actor is going to do another cop drama. The superhit audio album and then a riveting background score composed by Devi Sri Prasad for Rangasthalam is undoubtedly one of the main reasons behind the film’s blockbuster success. DSP has been getting a huge appreciation for his work for Rangasthalam.

But instead of applauding DSP for giving a hit album, Mega fans are firing on him. And the reason is the superhit ‘Aa Gattununtava’ song, originally sung by popular folk singer Sivanagulu. While Sivanagulu’s version was released with the audio album, his song was replaced by DSP’s monotonous voice in the movie that released on Friday.

During Rangasthalam’s pre-release event in Vizag, DSP invited Sivanagulu on the dais and showered him with praises. Now, fans can’t fathom DSP’s sudden injustice to a folk artiste and they are openly rebuking the star composer on social media.

Meanwhile, Sukumar came to DSP’s rescue. In a success meet yesterday, Sukumar said that Sivanagulu is a highly talented artiste. The director went on to clarify that while Sivanagulu’s track sounded perfect while listening, the team felt that his voice was not suiting Charan on the big screen and that’s why they had to replace it with DSP’s track in the last minute. Well, this should put an end to the controversy.

Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam has got phenomenal opening in the Telugu States. After raking in Rs 19.03 Crore share on first day in AP and Telangana,  Rangasthalam storm continued on the second day as well. The film got Rs 13.25 Crore Gross on the second day alone, i.e Rs 8.76 Crore Share. Thus taking the total tally in the Telugu states to 27.79 Crore Share while the total gross stands at Rs 42.25 Crore.

The storm is not just confined to the Telugu States. In the US, the film already crossed 1 Million USD mark and is marching towards 2 Million USD. In world-wide, Rangasthalam collected ₹23Cr gross on day2 & total 2days gross is ₹69Cr and 2days share is approx ₹43Cr

Going by the current trend, trade estimates that the film will enter the ₹100 Cr gross mark by Monday.
