JP Ditches Pawan?
Intellectual, honest politician, reformist, physician and former IAS Jayaprakash Narayan seems to have ditched Pawan Kalyan and the ties with Janasena. After collaborating with Pawan for Joint Facts Finding Committee and having elaborate discussions, debates involving several individuals, intellectuals, bureaucrats, finally JP seems to have disappointed with the way the JFC was shaping up towards without any conclusion.
With Pawan too got busy with his convenient politics and left the JFC without bringing to a logical conclusion, JP has initiated an Independent Experts Committee and announced that the first meet of the Independent Group of Experts (IGE) will be on March 30 (Friday).
The experts panel comprises of retired IPS C Anjaneya Reddy, Secretary General of Farmers Union P Chengal Reddy, ex IPS, ex CVC HJ Dora, Prof. and 14th Finance Commission member M Govindarao, Prof. S Galab, former chief justice of Himachal Pradesh Justice MN Rao, former chief secretart of Andhra Pradesh Kaki Madhava Rao, retired IAS and former Union Home Secretary K Padmanabhaiah, former AP High Court judge Justice Parvata Rao, Prof. & Sess director Radhakrishna, former news editor of Visalandhra Raghavachari, Prof. Santa Sinha, former Union Health Secretary K Sujatha Rao, retired IAS and former secretary to Prime Minister KR Venu Gopal, DR Jaya Prakash Narayan.
The committee will look into the promises made to the new state of Andhra Pradesh in AP Reorganization Act 2014 during the state’s bifurcation. Although JP said in a statement that the IGE would invite other experts depending on their availability, it indicates that Pawan is out of the scene as he is often making confused statements pushing common people into more confusion.
Tamannah Joined the League of Aunties?
Tamannah, called by her admirers as the Milky Beauty, still looks like a college going girl despite having been in the industry for more than a decade. It seems very unconvincing to imagine her pairing up with seniors like Venkatesh and Balakrishna, owing to her much younger looks. This is the precise reason why she hasn’t yet acted opposite a Telugu senior hero. But, lack of offers now seems to have persuaded the milky siren to join the league of seniors.
Reports suggest that Tamannah gave her nod to pair with senior hero Venkatesh in Anil Ravipudi’s “F2”. Seniors such as Nayanthara and Shriya were considered before, but when they couldn’t come on board, Tamannah was approached and she has reportedly given her green signal. Venkatesh will be first senior hero to romance the milky beauty.
The biggest problem for the movies of senior heroes is finding a suitable heroine. Young star heroines hardly show interest to work with them, and faded out heroines (who show willingness) get rejected by the makers. There is a huge demand for the heroines and there are hardly 4-5 actresses who fall in the league of seniors.
If Tamannah, who isn’t getting films opposite young heroes, joins the senior league in her second innings, she will surely be flooded with offers. But the question is, will her younger looks make her a convincing option opposite seniors? F2 may well decide that.
Blow To Modi, BJP Sr Leaders Support Mamata
Intensifying her efforts to unite all the Opposition parties against Narendra Modi government, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and got the backing of BJP rebels Yashwant Sinha, Arun Shourie, Shatrughan Sinha to her efforts to forge a broad coalition of forces for one-to-one fight with the BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
Mamata Banerjee had met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, KCR’s daughter and MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha, MPs of BJP’s ally Shiv Sena, Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti besides MPs from Biju Janata Dal, Samajwadi Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and DMK.
While Kejriwal, who met Banerjee for about half-an-hour, did not speak to the media, the BJP rebels Yashwant Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha, Arun Shourie have expressed their open support for Mamata. This is a big blow to BJP from its senior leaders.
Former Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha met Banerjee along with BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha and said they came to meet her as there was a need to save the country. “We worked together for a long time in the (Atal Bihari) Vajpayee government and you are all familiar with her personality,” he said. “The role she has played in this direction is admirable. We came to thank her and she should continue discharging the role strongly in the future. She has our full support and cooperation,” Yashwant Sinha said.
Shatrughan Sinha said that Mamata was a mass leader connected to the grassroots. “We are with her in her struggle for the country. Nation is bigger than the party. All this work is not anti-party but pro-nation. We have come to give her support for the sake of the country,” he said.
Meanwhile, Arun Shourie praised Mamata Banerjee’s pitch for one-to-one contest with the BJP in 2019 elections. “If this is one-to-one formula is adopted, then the opposition parties start with 69 percent of the votes. Because even at the height of his popularity, Modi got only 31 percent of the votes,” he said.
Answering a question on Congress, he hoped that the principal opposition party “will see the good sense for everybody to be together. Because if this momentum (of BJP’s victories) is not broken, there will be no Congress and nobody even among them personally in the second round,” Shourie said.
Citing the instance of Bihar where Congress was part of coalition that defeated the BJP, he said the party did not take Banerjee’s offer for an alliance in Tripura and the result was there for all to see. He also referred to Assam where Congress did not go for alliance. “So they should reflect on these things. There are mature people there. They should reflect,” he said.
He said youth leaders Hardik Patel, Alpesh Thakore and Jignesh Mevani had emerged in Gujarat and Kanhaiya Kumar had emerged at JNU. “Parties should also connect with them,” he added.
Responding to a question about who will lead the front against Modi, he said there was no need to think about it now and it was sufficient for people to work in their areas for the present.

OST Of ‘Bharat Anu Nenu’ Will Create Tremors
With the advent of YouTube and other media, these days every single creation done for a film is getting huge attention. Earlier only some hit films used to release the ‘Background Score’ aka ‘Original Sound Track’ in a special CD or DVD. But now, almost all the films are releasing it.
Some films sound pretty ordinary without music, but the likes of AR Rahman, Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman lift them to the sky with their background score. And latest update is that the OST scored by DSP for Mahesh’s “Bharat Anu Nenu” is going to stun everyone.
Already a sample of the Original Sound Track was given to us in ‘The Song Of Bharat’. The use of percussions, trumpet, trombone and saxophone sounds, viola, strings and orchestra hits have made this track so refreshing. Especially when heard in high-quality sound output speakers, the track is sounding as if we are listening to a Hollywood movie background score.
Reports have that Devi Sri Prasad got connected well with the subject and he created some hair rising thrilling soundtracks the moment he saw the first rushes of the film six months ago.
Directed by Koratala Siva, Bharat Anu Nenu is hitting cinemas on April 20th.
THE END to Chiru’s role as a Politician!
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who entered politics almost a decade ago with a lot of hype and hungama and created a sensation in Andhra politics, almost made a quiet exit from politics on Wednesday. It was the last day for outgoing MPs of Rajya Sabha on Wednesday and the Upper House gave a warm send-off to all of them, including deputy chairman V J Kurien. However, Chiranjeevi was nowhere to be seen.
In fact, no media person in Delhi bothered to find out whether he was present in the House or not, as he has not been coming to the Rajya Sabha for quite some.People have almost forgotten him as a politician but enjoyed his comeback into films with Khaidi No. 150 and are eagerly awaiting release of his next film Sye Raa.
Now that his term as an MP is over, it is not clear whether he will continue in politics or confine himself to films.Yet, social media has not let the mega star retire from politics just like that. A social media activist expressed his views on Chiranjeevi in rather strong words.
It reads like this:
“You brought a lot of glamour to Rajya Sabha. Nobody can do the silent demonstration like you did sitting at home and braving risk to your life during the time of state bifurcation four years ago or now when the entire Delhi was shaken by the movement for special category status to AP. In fact, one cannot even imagine to follow your footsteps.
We are really grateful to you for your services rendered to the nation as a Rajya Sabha member and Union minister of state for tourism.
You are so great to control your emotions and hide a lot of grief within your heart like a volcano, when thousands of people died and lakhs of people were badly hit during 2013 Chardham floods when you were central tourism minister.
Instead, you tried to remain a happy person by celebrating beach festivals along with your family members. Hats off to you for showing to the people as to how one can remain happy even during the times of tragedy. There is no exaggeration to say that such a great personality like you was ever seen in Rajya Sabha. And it is difficult to find a person of your stature to replace you in Rajya Sabha.
Your services to the people of the state as a politician, the transparency which you had adopted right from the day of launching the party to selling of party tickets at the time of elections and finally, the way you mortgaged the self-respect of the Telugus and the party at the feet of Mother of Italy – are really unparalleled and will remain forever in the hearts of the Telugu people.
It is a different matter that your detractors valued all these services at Rs 500 crore, which is very unfortunate.
May be they are hurt by your refusal to donate your old house in your native village of Mogalturu to run a library or they felt bad for not producing accounts for the donations received from abroad and the blood donated by millions of your fans.
TDP sent 1000 cr to Cong for K’taka Polls?
Now that the Telugu Desam Party has parted ways with the Bharatiya Janata Party completely on the pretext of the NDA government denying special category status to Andhra Pradesh, party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is said to be hell-bent on preventing the BJP from gaining a foothold in the south.
Naidu is looking for all the options to teach a fitting lesson to the BJP in Karnataka elections, schedule for which was announced on Tuesday. He does not mind even joining hands with his party’s bitter rival – the Congress, to fulfil his objective. His idea is that if the BJP is prevented from coming to power in Karnataka, the saffron party does not dare venture into the Andhra politics.
According to reports doing rounds in a section of media, Naidu has come to a secret understanding with the Congress party in Karnataka to defeat the BJP at any cost. As part of this understanding, the TDP is mobilising and transferring around Rs 1,000 crore to the Congress kitty for the electioneering.
The reports say TDP has many fund raisers and super rich businessman who fund the party for elections and many other works. One of them is businessman-turned-Guntur MP Galla Jayadev, who is regarded as the treasure house for TDP.
Because of his connections with the Congress people (his mother Galla Aruna was a minister in Y S Rajasekhar Reddy cabinet) and had benefitted immensely during the UPA regime, he has agreed to fund the Congress campaign in Karnataka.
The reports say the TDP-Congress secret deal was signed long ago, much before the TDP broke away from the BJP.It is learnt Galla had sent Rs 1000 crore cash to Karnataka Congress in a container vehicle. This money was reportedly delivered in Chittoor.Needless to imagine, how and where Gall got this money from!
Actress Jayanthi is alive, family denies Death Rumors
Veteran actress Jayanthi was rushed to a private hospital in Bengaluru on Sunday morning after she complained of difficulty in breathing. She was being monitored in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, and had been put on a ventilator.
While several media reports suggested that the veteran star had passed away, according to her family has denied reports of her demise.Jayanthi was admitted to Vikram Hospital in the capital city of Karnataka, the report further states. The Kannada star is reportedly now under recovery.
According to Indian Express, Janathi was shifted out of the ICU on Tuesday and was said to be on the path to recovery. The source further stated that as their sources, the veteran actor was responding well to the treatment and would be kept in the hospital for a couple of days more.
The 73-year-old actress has acted in over 500 movies across Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Marathi languages and shared screen space legends like MG Ramachandran (MGR), Gemini Ganesan, Nagesh and Dr Rajkumar. She worked with the latter in 45 movies, which is a record in itself.
First Telugu Shock To BJP in KA?
The vast number of Telugu-speaking people in Karnataka state are all set to give a major shock to Modi and Amit Shah-led BJP in the forthcoming Assembly Elections.
After Kannadigas and Urdus, Telugu-speaking population are the third largest group in Karnataka. With Telugu people are fuming over BJP for the gross injustice meted out to AP, Telugu people in unison are expected to shock the BJP’s central leadership. Denying of the promised Special Category Status, funds, financial assistance, incomplete works of Polavaram, denial of Special Railway Zone to Vizag, delay in sanctioning funds to the premier national institutes have all left an indelible mark in the minds, hearts of Telugu people who are burning with anger against BJP.
The Telugu-speaking older migrants, who have been settled in Karnataka for long, are accounted at 16 to 20 percentage in 1991 census. This is considerable vote percentage to topple the BJP candidates.
The Tamil population in Karnataka too is large. They are also around 10 percentage. While the Tamil population is vexed with BJP’s political plans in their state and the ongoing demand to form the Cauvery Water Board, a chunk of Tamilians may not vote for BJP.
Urdus account for the second-largest population in Karntaka. With the contest of MIM in the state, these votes are expected to be divided as well. All the Urdu voters are mostly against to BJP.
This apart, the incumbent Siddaramaiah government has its own vote share, fan base. At the same time, BJP and Kumaraswamy-led Janata Dal (Secular) are struggling. The only silver lining for BJP is the unofficial understanding between JD (Secular) and BJP. Yet, the allegations of corruption against BJP’s senior leaders in the state have incurred a great damage to the party in the state and it is very difficult to overcome that image anytime sooner. On the whole, the ambition of Amit Shah, Modi to capture Karnataka looks very far from reality.
What Is Mega Family Reaction To That Name?
A few months ago, Pawan Kalyan left everyone with a lot of amusement by naming his son as Mark Shankar Pavanovich. With just one announcement, he shed all the rumours away about his separation from Megastar Chiranjeevi and proved that he always has immense love and respect towards his elder brother.
Since then, everyone is eagerly waiting to know, the reaction of his family members about the name and now Ram Charan finally opened up about it. Responding on this, Charan shared that everyone was moved with gesture and became emotional. “Usually, people keep their grandmother’s or grandfather’s name, but Kalyan Babai put Dad’s name to my younger brother and showcased how much he loves his Big brother. This gesture made us stunned and everyone in the family turned emotional” he commented.
Decoding the newborn’s name, Marcus is a very popular name among Christians and is taken from the god Mars. Shankar comes from Megastar Chiranjeevi’s original name, Siva Shankara Vara Prasad while Pawanovich is derived from PK’s name.
On the other hand, Pawan visited Chiru’s home other day to wish Ram Charan on his birthday and proved that no one can ever separate them. It seems the political and personal lives are two different sides of the coin for them.
