Director Asks to Watch the Piracy version of His Film

The latest Bollywood outing of Taapsee Pannu ‘Mulk’, directed by Anubhav Sinha, released on Friday and is garnering good response from the audiences. Jointly bankrolled by Banaras Media Works and Soham Rockstar Entertainment, the film also features senior actor Rishi Kapoor, Prateek Babbar and Ashutosh Rana in important roles.
Usually, our Bollywood films enjoy good craze in Pakistan and almost all the films get simultaneous release in our neighboring nation as well. But, Mulk was banned in Pakistan as their censor board felt the film showed Muslims in poor light. Director Anubhav, who’s enjoying the super success in India, wrote an open letter to the cinephiles who are missing Mulk in Pakistan and he had a very interesting piece of advice to them.
Anubhav, who started off his letter with words ‘Dear Citizens of Pakistan’, recommended the Pakistani audiences to download the piracy version of the film and watch it. In his one-page letter, Anubhav said ‘I really wanted you all to see this film legally but do watch it illegally if you must, though our digital team at home is working hard to stop all piracy.’ Don’t you think this is really an uncommon piece of recommendation from any filmmaker.
Young Heroine’s Romance With Production Manager

She is a posh heroine with ultra modern background. She has acted opposite stars in very short time and even got good following among masses. Her off-screen romance with a production guy has shocked everyone.
Apparently, she liked a guy from the production unit of her film and was quite impressed with his physique and his body. Floored by his looks, the young heroine asked him out for a date. And she hasn’t hesitated and she herself openly asked him out and the news gone viral in the film circuits. She even said to have spent quality time with the young chap.
Despite she being heroine and the guy being a production manager, the young heroine kept aside all the status barriers aside and romanced with him. Her bold act has become discussion point. It is even buzzed that the she did a one-night stand with the guy at a star hotel that has raised many eyeballs!
Heroine’s US Connection Bringing Her More Offers!

Anu Emmanuel has won the hearts. No doubt she is a right blend of talent and glamour. Yet, she has one more advantage that is getting her more plum offers in Tollywood. The Mallu girl who has her roots in Kerala has been born and brought up in the US and is a citizen there. She was born in Illinois and lived most of her childhood years in Dallas, Texas.
Now her US connection and nationality is coming in handy. Considering that the US stamping for actresses have become stricter and things have turned difficult, the makers who are planning to shoot their films are preferring Anu Emmanuel.
Anu too nicely using this in her fortune. A song – Lover Also Fighter Also – was shot on Anu and Allu Arjun in the US for Naa Peru Surya. This is not all. Her nationality being American also makes it easy for her to travel to any part of the Europe. Due to this practical reasons, films which are planned to shoot abroad are preferring Anu Emmanuel for their films. This is certainly interesting.
From Monday, Saakshyam Failure Begins!

If trade reports are anything to go by, Saakshyam is expected to end up as a colossal flop in the career of Bellamkonda Sreenivas. Despite decent openings and good run in the first weekend, the film failed to maintain the same momentum from Monday. This is likely to have a telling effect on the film’s revenue.
As the film is made with a grand budget on lavish scale, trade reports indicate that the film may incur 12 to 13 Crore loss. This is going to be a big set back to its makers.
The premise and idea of Saakshyam was good, but bad execution has made audience turn down the film. With the release of three more films – Goodachari, Chi La Sow and Brand Babu – this week, trade analysts predict that it is unlikely that Saakshyam would recover. On the whole, it’s a bad luck for Bellamkonda.
Why Is Pawan Not Demanding 75,000 Crore?

Coming down heavily on Pawan Kalyan and Jagan, Chandrababu Naidu has shot back at his detractors alike. Accusing them of supporting BJP, Naidu alleged that the Lotus Party with the support of Opposition leaders is doing a grave injustice to the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Shooting a straight question to Pawan, Chandrababu said why was he not asking or demanding the Centre for the 75,000 Crore. Naidu noted the revelations of the Joint Facts Finding Committee constituted by Pawan Kalyan himself.
“The Facts Finding Committee by Pawan itself stated that Centre owes us Rs 75,000 Crore. Why Pawan is not questioning the Centre for it?” Naidu said in a fierce attack on his rivals. He said TDP has successfully launched attack on BJP and managed to get the national attention on AP’s problems. Chandrababu appreciated the efforts and hard work of the TDP MPs who are fighting against Modi government in the Lok Sabha during the Monsoon session of Parliament. Naidu said YCP MPs have quit their posts to save Modi.
Goodachari Movie Review
Sesh has proved his worth with Kshanam, a well made low budget thriller that was later remade into many languages. His latest film Goodachari also showed a lot of promise with its intriguing promos. Did it live up to the expectations?
Story :
Arjun Kumar’s (Sesh) only dream is to serve the nation by joining RAW or Intelligence Bureau. He achieves his dream after numerous attempts and finally gets recruited in Trinetra, a Govt. secret service agency. Soon after he gets recruited as the secret agent, Arjun is framed as a mole in the department. Entire police department is after him and Arjun has to find who the one that framed him is.
Performances:
Adivi Sesh’s agile frame and stylish looks suits the character. His performance is good but could have done better in emotional sequences. Sobhita Dhulipala makes an impressive debut. Prakash Raj is good in a key role. Jagapathi Babu appears in a very interesting role that is one of the main strengths of the movie. Supriya Yarlagadda appears on screen after a very long time and she shines in her role as senior agent. Vennela Kishore is good with his serious humor. Anish Kuruvilla and Madhu Shalini are seen in other important roles.
Technicalities:
Sashi Kiran Tikka follows the style and pattern of Hollywood spy thrillers. He has shot the film in slick and stylish way. The twists and turns in the film keeps you engaged all the time. The way he handled the second half without losing grip until the real secret is revealed is very impressive.
Sri Charan Pakala’s background score is simply superb. It is the main highlight of the film. Cinematography also is very good as it gives the authentic look of a spy thriller to it. Editing is crisp in the second half, but there is a bit of lag in the first half. Production values are decent considering the film’s market value.
Thumbs Up:
Background score
Suspenseful screenplay
Racy second half
Thumbs Down:
Unnecessary drags in first half
Artificial emotions
Analysis:
It is a daring attempt to make a movie on this scale with Adivi Sesh. Goodachari has the look and feel of the Bond and Bourne series films. It is a slick action thriller that Mahesh Babu’s mega budget Spyder couldn’t be. Goodachari keeps you guessing all the time with many unexpected twists and turns. First half of the film takes its time to get into the thick of the things. Sesh’s failed attempts at the beginning during his training and his love story with Sobhitha just waste time. Action is always there, but the film keeps on switching between serious and non-serious stuff for quite a while.
Things turn interesting as the protagonist gets framed and is on the run. Pre interval episode and the intermission set the right tone for the rest of the movie. Director doesn’t waste any more time and runs the film like a fast paced thriller. A lot of twists and turns in the story happen at rocket speed that you cannot take your eyes of the screen. The twists and turns are identical to the ones we get to see in Hollywood spy thrillers. However, the nonstop action and excellent background score will keep the viewers on the edge.
The emotional twist towards the end may not please everyone though. But the director makes up for it by giving it a fantastic finish with the final reveal. There is also a hint of making a sequel to Goodachari. The film has its share of weaknesses, but it is a well made action thriller that keeps the viewers engaged for the most part. Second half of the film is so impressive in particular. A slick first half and a better main twist would have worked wonders for it. Having said that, the team must be appreciated for what they have achieved with tight budget. The supporting star cast is very good. A lot of credit should be given to casting director for making some interesting choices for some key roles.
Goodachari is not for all sections of audience, but it will surely impress the people that look for fresh themes and slick action like Hollywood movies. Action lovers cannot miss this one as such racy action thrillers are rarely made in Tollywood.
Verdict: Desi Bond is Here!
