In recent times, one of the genuine blockbusters in Tollywood is Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam.The period-drama directed by Sukumar was produced by Mythri and it was a bit of a gamble given the storyline. But the producers trusted Sukumar blindly and the movie paid rich dividends at the box-office.

The revenues of the film far exceeded the expectations of the producers and they have signed Sukumar for another project with Mahesh Babu.What’s more, apparently Mythri films have given an extra Rs 7 crore to Sukumar as a token of their appreciation for the super collections of Rangasthalam.

The production house is looking to forge a long-term relationship with Sukumar the way, Harika and Haasine has done with Trivikram.

#BigBoss2 is taking many turns now and contestants are giving super twists to their characters themselves. After enjoying huge following and support of audiences, few persons like Babu Gogineni, Tanish and now Kaushal are hurting their image themselves.

Other day also when he complained like a kid that two people in the house didn’t thank him for winning the swimming pool contest, people felt he’s bit nagging more. That will not help Kaushal in the coming days for sure.

Rishi Kapoor doesn’t care much for backlash and criticism, and freely speaks his mind. While talking about son Ranbir Kapoor’s career, he again lashed out at Anurag Kashyap and Anurag Basu for making commercially unsuccessful films.

In an interview to Huffington Post, Kapoor said, “Anurag Kashyap (Bombay Velvet). You give him so much money, he literally didn’t know what to do with it. Jagga Jasoos (directed by Anurag Basu) was such a bad film, such a bad story. It was absolutely rubbish. I questioned Ranbir and he said, ‘Papa, the man who gave me Barfi, how could I question him… I thought he’d be responsible enough to know to keep the story at its point’.”

Ranbir has redeemed himself in Bollywood with Sanju, which crossed Rs 300 crore.

About this, Kapoor said, “I’ve seen that boy coming to the house and not eating, then working out and putting on weight for the bulked up Sanju and then losing it all for the lanky one. And that boy has worked really hard for the film. People are not really understanding the amount of labour that is gone as an actor in the film.”

Kapoor will next be seen in Mulk, which is a film based on communal prejudices. It will hit the screens on August 3, 2018.

But after the failure of Naa Peru Surya, Bunny is yet to take a call on his next film and is biding his time.Mega support to his films has not been like earlier and this, coupled with the resounding success of Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu, have put added pressure on Bunny to retain his stardom as well.

While he has listened to a couple of scripts from Vikram Kumar of Manam fame, Bunny is said to be worried as Vikram Kumar’s films are not strictly out-and-out commercial films and Bunny cannot afford to experiment any further as of now.

Gossip is that Bunny has asked Vikram to shape the scripts ith a few changes that would give the project a wider commercial reach.

Niharika Konidela’s second film in Telugu, Happy Wedding is releasing today. She paired up with Sumanth Ashwin in it. Lakshman Karya is the director and a big production house UV Creations is backing it. Going by its promising trailers, Happy Wedding should appeal to youth and urban audience, but there is hardly any buzz around it.

Niharika is yet to make a mark as the female lead and Sumanth Ashwin has been going through a lean patch in his career.Happy Wedding doesn’t have any crowd pulling factors besides the support of UV Creations that has made a name for itself by making successful films.

The lyrics of Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘What The F’ from his forthcoming romantic drama “Geetha Govindam” have kicked up a storm. As soon as the issue broke out, the film’s makers have reacted swiftly and took the damage-control steps.It is learnt that the full credit goes to Mega Producer Allu Aravind who acted timely in the issue. Even before it snowballed into major controversy, Aravind has intervened in the issue and directed the makers to immediately change the lyrics of the song.

“Aravind garu never encourages any such communal disharmony. Even he is against to unwarranted controversies surrounding his films. As soon as he learned about such critical comments about the song, he immediately asked the makers to pull out the song and told them to up it only after the lyrics are changed,” said a source in the know.

“Taking away the song from YouTube and other sources certainly causes some financial loss. After creating buzz and announcing the release of the song, taking away the song even before anyone demanded for so is a bold move. Again, Aravind garu took the decision on own. And the entire team stood by his decision,” added the source.
