Macho hero Gopichand is known to follow the ‘title’ sentiment, most of his films’ titles end with ‘am’. His new film, ‘Pantham’ is no different. The latest buzz in film circles is that besides continuing the ‘title’ sentiment, Gopichand is banking on ‘Hamsa’ sentiment too for his new film.

Gopichand hasn’t scored a hit since Loukyam, which released four years ago. After this super hit, he has delivered half a dozen disasters. Now, as he is shooting for ‘Pantham’, his prestigious 25th film, Gopichand desperately wants it to become a hit.

It is heard that Gopichand personally referred the name of ‘item song specialist’, Hamsa Nandini for ‘Pantham’. As the director was looking for an actress to play a key role in the film, Gopichand reportedly asked him to sign Hamsa, hoping she might carry in the luck of ‘Loukyam’ as she was part of that film too.

Talking about her role in ‘Pantham’, Hamsa said that she plays an opulent woman who has very high attitude.

Mehreen is the main female lead in ‘Pantham’, which is being planned to be released in May. Will these sentiments work for Gopichand and give him the much needed success?

It seems Bollywood is improving its track record of destroying Telugu hits films year after year. The trailer of Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starrer upcoming film, “Baaghi 2” has just been unveiled, and it comes as a shocker to Telugu film lovers to learn that the film is an official adaption of successful Telugu mystery thriller, “Kshanam”.

The trailer has mainly showcased Shroff’s agile kicks and punches. It is apparent that the soul and suspense in ‘Kshanam’ has clearly been sidelined to give space for the chiseled hero’s super-heroic stunts. In fact, Tiger has been projected as a “one-man army” in the film unlike Adivi Sesh’s character from the original, of a failed lover, which was desperate to help his ex-girl friend find her kidnapped daughter.

Disha Patani reprises the role of Adah Sharma in the Bollywood remake. More than the remake of ‘Kshanam’, ‘Baaghi 2′ appears to be the Indian version of “Rambo”. If the makers intended to make an out and out actioner, why not remake a Hollywood film instead of killing the soul of a critically acclaimed suspense thriller, opine movie buffs.

For the unknown, the first film, Baaghi, that featured Tiger and Shraddha Kapoor, was the remake of Prabhas’ “Varsham”. Even in that remake, the action part dominated the ‘romance’ quotient for which the Telugu blockbuster has attained cult status for.

From a time, both Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun are competing with each other when it comes to the release date of their upcoming films. Finally, they both have announced April 26th as the mega date for “Naa Peru Surya” and “Bharat Anu Nenu” release date.

Talking about the clash, Bunny’s camp is maintaining that they have announced the release date well in advance and that is true as well. Movie’s producers including Lagadapathi Sreedhar, Nagababu and Bunny Vasu don’t want to go back from the date though clashing with another big star’s film will eat their own revenues. At the same time, Mahesh’s producer DVV Danayya is maintaining a stoic silence over this clash with Allu Arjun’s film.

Some say that Allu Arjun wants to move a week forward in case if Mahesh moves a week backwards leaving two weeks gap between the two films. But the point is, why would a producer like Danayya who has produced mega films like Desamuduru, Varudu, Julyayi, Naayak, Bruce Lee and Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu would want to clash with Bunny and his movie now?

Though Bunny’s makers announced their dates well in advance, it looks like Danayya wants it badly. At the same time, Bunny’s makers are also in need of this date badly for unknown reasons. Otherwise, what would happen to these films if they release on some other date? The likes of Mahesh and Allu Arjun are independent of any holiday season and their film release itself will create a holiday season.

Explaining his reasons, we hear that, Danayya has now knocked the doors of Megastar Chiranjeevi to solve this issue. After listening to his version, Chiranjeevi is said to have summoned both Nagababu and Bunny Vasu to his residence to discuss the same. Trade pundits are hopeful that Megastar will truly pull off a mega truce between these two films to make sure that one another will not eat away other’s revenues.

Director Krish who is riding high with the blockbuster success of Gautamiputra Satakarni which marked 100th film for Balakrishna is presently directing a Bollywood biographical film “Manikarnika” based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi.

Post this film, Krish will be making a high budget entertainer film which will be high on technical standards. Saibabu Jagarlamudi and Rajeev Reddy will jointly produce the movie on massive budget. Krish registered “Aham Brahmasmi” title for the film. He is said to have approached a big hero to play the lead role. They will announce the news officially once things materialize.

From past few days, there has been a grapevine that Varun Tej’s upcoming film with Sankalp Reddy is titled as ‘Aham Brahmasmi’. Nonetheless, these reports turned out as false with this official news of Krish registered the same title for his next directorial.

Krish is presently fine tuning the script. If all goes well, the movie will start rolling from August, 2018.

We already reported that ageless diva Kajal Aggarwal had given her nod to play the main leading lady in Bellamkonda’s new film, the latest we hear is that seductive beauty Catherine Tresa has jumped on board to essay the second female lead. It may be recalled that both Kajal and Catherine worked together earlier in Rana’s “Nene Raju Nene Mantri’.

Both the gorgeous ladies have reportedly been paid an irresistible sum to sign the film. While Kajal was limited to sarees in NRNM, the Bellamkonda starrer will have her playing an urban chic and competing with the voluptuous Catherine in glamour department.

To be directed by debutante Srinivas, the untitled film will be launched on Feb 22 in a grand manner. This is the first film, his fifth overall, in which Bellamkonda is working with a debutante director as he has relied only on established directors so far.
