With all the Sankranthi releases slowly losing their sheen, the focus has shifted towards Anushka Shetty’s upcoming horror thriller, ‘Bhaagamathie’. Thanks to the intriguing trailer and the exciting promotional material, expectations raised on the film. Meanwhile, some speculations are also flying thick and fast.

It is widely speculated that veteran actress Tabu essays the role of Anushka’s mother in Bhaagamathie. Our reliable sources have trashed this news as a mere speculation. We have learnt that Tabu is indeed playing a crucial character in Bhaagamathie and that she has played a CBI officer in the film.

Tabu’s character in the film is so pivotal that makers intentionally guarded it and not showed it even in the theatrical trailer. It comes at a crucial juncture in the film and leads the proceedings. It is heard that scenes involving Tabu and Anushka will unravel the mystery in the film.

The UV Creations production venture is all set to hit screens on January 26.

Ever since the much awaited big budgeted wonder Agnyaathavaasi tanked at the box office, there were various rumours about the actors and technicians of that project. Reports have come out that filmmakers who have roped these people are now turning their backs.

With Trivikram getting ready to helm his next with Jr NTR’s in the lead, many rumours pointed towards the presence of composer Anirudh and heroine Anu Emmanuel. Here goes the interesting update. Also, buzz added that Tarak wants Devi Sri Prasad onboard for his prestigious movie with the wizard of words.

However, the latest update is that Anirudh has already started working on the tunes for Jr NTR’s film. There are two things that might have changed the minds of this film’s unit. Firstly they have already paid huge advance to Anirudh, so there is no point in getting that wasted.

Secondly, Agnyaathavaasi songs are chartbusters but it is the background score that disappointed many. But Anirudh is known as Prince of background music, quite contrastingly to what he has delivered for Pawan Kalyan. So NTR might have thought that Anirudh should be given a fair chance rather than deciding about him because of just one flop.

Meanwhile, there are also reports being heard that even Anu Emmanuel is onboard for Jr NTR while another heroine will also be picked.

Ever since there was buzz that Agnyaathavaasi is a free-make of French film Largo Winch, even the original director of that movie is showing pretty much interest in this Pawan Kalyan starrer directed by Trivikram.

After confirming earlier in a tweet that Agnyaathavaasi has too many shades of Largo Winch, today director Jerome Salle made another interesting and threatening comment.

“Indian cinema has all the necessary talent and creativity for not having to plagiarize. And the silence from #Agnathavaasi team since one week is deafening. So let’s take action now. #LegalNotice” he tweeted, a while ago.

Actually, it is earlier reported that T-Series has the remake rights of Largo Winch for Indian sub-continent and the producers of Agnyaathavaasi have settled the issue with them. According to the grapevine, Trivkram and S Radhakrishna are said to have paid around 10-12 crores for the remake rights.

Given that, we wonder what sort of legal action Jerome Salle wants to take on Agnyaathavaasi now. If T-Series has the rights and Trivikram acquired them, then there is no question of any legal action because Agnyaathavaasi is made in only Telugu language.

Earlier this French director felt that as Agnayaathvaasi released all over the world, the makers should get rights not just for India alone. That’s not how it works anyway. The film is made only in Telugu language but not in other languages.

Whatever critics say, Mega family is making sure that most of the kin and kith from the family will turn to acting. Finally, it’s the turn of another mega cousin to debut as a hero on the silver screen. Here goes the news.

After the likes of Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej, Niharika and Allu Sirish entered as next-gen actors from mega family in the path trodden by Megastar Chiru and Pawan Kalyan, we have two more entrants coming up. One is Sreeja’s husband Kalyan and the other one is Sai Dharam’s younger brother Vaishnav Tej.

From a time, this youngster is actually spending time at Janasena Office, thereby surprising the visitors. The unrelenting Akkineni Nagarjuna has lined up another star director for his younger son Akhil in his effort to establish him as the future star of Akkineni family. And, the director bestowed with the huge responsibility is, hat-trick hit maker, Koratala Siva.

There have been reports for long about Koratala Siva directing Akhil in a high budget action entertainer. Koratala was approached by Nag for Akhil’s second film itself but the star director couldn’t give a commitment as he had been busy with films starring A-listers. Now, we have heard that Koratala has finally agreed to direct Akhil in his next film after ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’.

An official announcement in this regard will be made very soon. DVV Danayya, who is producing ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’, will bankroll this film as well.

Although Akhil has earned praise for his decent performance, impeccable dances and sensational stunts, his first two films have turned commercial disasters at box office. Even the acclaimed Vikram Kumar couldn’t give a hit to Akhil despite making a reasonably good film, ‘Hello’.

Koratala on the other hand gave the biggest hits of their respective careers to Prabhas (before Baahubali), Mahesh Babu and NTR with his first three films. Being a proven commercial writer-director, he is expected to give Akhil the much needed commercial success.

Realistic portrayal of her on-screen character has come with a price for Anushka. Having put on weight for her film Size Zero, she is now struggling to shed off the extra flab. For almost six months now, Anushka has been consciously staying away from the camera.

Talk is that she has been spending most of her time in the gym or following various methods for weight loss. Then came the news that she shed a few kilos.However, at her recent appearance, one could barely see any difference. Anushka continues to be her chubby self.

As a part of promotional activity for Bhagmatee, the audio release function for the Tamil version was held in Chennai.

Anushka was part of it as was hero Suriya, who has a special association with the heads of UV Creations. Also present was Ramyakrishna who acted alongside Suriya in recently released Gang.So, when Ramyakrishna and Anushka posed together for the camera, there was barely any difference between the two.

In fact, Anushka has been sincerely working out at the gym. She is also trying some methods wherein she can lose weight while retaining her glamour. And it’s true that she did shed some kilos. But from her recent appearance it is clear that she needs to come down to play the leading lady in future.

Right now, she has Bhagmatee lined up for release. Given her weight issues, she hasn’t signed future projects.However, going by her talk at the audio function, it was pretty obvious that Anushka is in no rush to sign projects.
