Remember Sharwa’s lady love in Raju Maharaju? Well, it was long time ago and it is hard to remember. She was even seen alongside Arjun in Jai Hind 2. Yes, it is Surveen Chawla. Started in Kannada and Telugu, Surveen went onto do more films in Hindi, Punjabi. While she didn’t make it big down the South, she got noticed in Hindi films. Her last film in Hindi Parched (also starring Ajay Devgn, Radhika Apte) got her good recognition besides several special songs she performed (including in Himmatwala).

Now, the news on Surveen is out that she got secretly married two years ago. i.e way back in 2015 itself.

Surveen has secretly tied the knot with a businessman in Italy. Apparently, Surveen met her beau Akshay Thakker through a common friend in 2013 and the duo have soon fallen for each other. After seeing two years, the couple has taken their relationship to the next level by marrying in 2015.

It was a secret wedding but it was a grand affair as the couple walked down the aisle in Church with bride wearing formal white dress. With attendance of family and close friends, the wedding took place on July 28, 2015 in a chapel inside a castle in Northern Italy.

What’s more? Surveen and Akshay are now planning to announce their wedding on Jan 2018.

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is playing the female lead in Prabhas’ “Saaho”, has found herself in legal soup. This is related to her previous film, ‘Haseena Parkar’, in which she essayed the titular character of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister.

A Mumbai-based garment manufacturer has filed a police complaint against Shraddha as well as the producer of ‘Haseena Parkar’ alleging them of cheating and criminal breach of trust. The complainant, who supplied costumes for Shraddha in the movie, claimed that he was promised that his brand would be promoted in the film and also by the actress during the film’s promotional activities. He alleged that the film’s producer however did not honor his commitment as part of the deal between them.

Responding to the complaint, the City Metropolitan Court has directed the Mumbai police to conduct an inquiry into the matter and submit a report. The police have confirmed that they would soon call Shraddha to record her statement related to this case, and that if she was found guilty, she would have to pay a hefty compensation to the complainant.

Despite Shraddha Kapoor’s earnest efforts, Haseena Parkar tanked at box office, damaging her market. It seems the film might cause more trouble to the actress in the form of this case.

Sample this: A rich kid who lost his father comes back to India to claim a stake in his father’s empire. And now, we hear that both “Agnyaathavaasi” and “#MB24” are based on the same subject. It’s how the rumours are going right now.

Apparently, in Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi, the story is rumoured to be revolving around this protagonist who didn’t meet his father in last 20 years. After the sudden death of his father, he returns to India to take care of his father’s wealth, claim it, and giving it back to right persons. This is more or like an Arunachalam kind of subject also.

Coming to Mahesh Babu’s #MB24, which is tentatively titled Bharat Anu Nenu, there also the lead man will be in abroad whose father is a Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh back home. After the death of his father, he comes back to India and becomes CM and thereby delivers his fathers aspirations, says rumours.

In both the cases, there seems like a rich boy coming from abroad to take care of father’s aspirations is a common thread if the rumours are to be believed. However, until the release of these two films, we can’t really say anything about the story.

While Pawan and Trivikram’s Agnyaathavaasi is set for January 10th release, Koratala’s political drama with Mahesh will release in April 2018.

Comedian-turned-hero Sunil and comedy king Allari Naresh, who both have been struggling of late, are gearing up to join forces for a multistarrer.

Seasoned director Bheemineni Srinivasa Rao, who had earlier directed Naresh in ‘Sudigadu’, is planning to make the sequel to that super hit film. He has already acquired the Telugu remake rights for the same from its source, Tamil film ‘Thamizh Padam 2.0’.

Whereas it was Naresh’s one man show in Sudigadu, the sequel has scope for two heroes, and hence Bheemineni roped in Sunil. Both heroes will be given equal importance in the film. With two heroes, both having impeccable comedy timing and a director who is experienced and adept enough to churn out entertainers, Sudigadu sequel is expected to be the much needed resurgence for the trio.

The regular shooting of this multistarrer film will start from January, 2018. ‘Sudigallu’ title is being considered for the sequel.

Naga Babu’s speech at the pre-release function of Okka Kshanam has raised many eyeballs. Although no where Naga Babu directly referred to Ram Charan and Orange, it looks obvious that he was referring to Orange’s losses.

When he was called onto the dais to speak and when he was asked about what was that one moment (Okka Kshanam) in his life that changed his life, he quickly said that there are several moments. He admitted that there was several moments in his life that brought him down completely.

“I can’t share it here. There are several ups and downs in my life. In fact, my life turned upside down in just a split second, not a minute or moment. It is not necessary now. Everyone goes through the same,” said Naga Babu.

It is common knowledge that the one major blow Naga Babu had received in his life is Orange that pushed him into neck-deep financial woes. Since he indicated that he can’t share it there on the stage, many fans started inferring that it was about Orange.

Meanwhile, Naga Babu is now recovered from Orange shock. And he is now co-producing Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya…Naa Illu India. He is now hoping to reap profits with Allu Arjun’s film.

Akhil Akkineni, who is basking in the glory of his latest offering Hello, has opened up on various things including what went through him when his maiden film Akhil bombed at the ticket windows.

“I was quite low then. I didn’t meet anyone. I didn’t come out of house. I was so disappointed with the film’s result,” Akhil divulged. However, Akhil said he hasn’t given it up. Akhil apparently watched his debut film for over 30 times in order to guage what went wrong and where he needs to improve. Akhil humbly accepted the failure of the film and taken complete responsibility for the film’s failure.

“Dad has no role in finalizing Akhil. I had heard the story and it was my own decision to take up the film. So I take total responsibility for the film’s failure,” said Akhil.

Akhil said he was out of that ‘low feeling’ only after Vikram narrated him Hello and he got into work mode to overcome the effect of Akhil debacle.

Akhil added that he would also watch Hello again and again the next ten days only to check where should he improve. Akhil said that business is important but he said he is quite happy that he has done a good film. ” The satisfaction that a good film gives is more important than anything,” said Akhil.

When asked about clash with MCA, he responded, “Probably the numbers of Hello would have been better if it hadn’t clashed (with MCA), but certainly I think two films could be accommodated. Audiences are willing to accept two films.”

Akhil said he will be listening to the final versions of two stories on Jan 5th and he said he would finalize and make a formal announcement on his next film on Jan 10th. Akhil said he can’t take any break hereafter and said he would like to start working on his next film immediately. When asked whether his dad Nagarjuna will produce his next film as well, Akhil retorted saying, “No, it will be produced by others.”

Film industry is an avenue that offers huge opportunity to become famous as well as opulent when compared to most career choices. There was a time when actresses used to make debut in films at as early as 14-15 either because of passion or compulsion, and continue doing films if they succeed. However, a new trend is being observed among new age actresses who are preferring education over films even though being in much demand.

Nivetha Thomas, who has scored three back to back hits in Telugu – Gentleman, Ninnu Kori and Jai Lava Kusa, is reportedly not signing new films and has turned down several offers that came her way. The reason is, she wants to prepare for her exams (she is doing an architecture course in Hyderabad). She wants to concentrate entirely on her exams, finish them off, and then come back to films.

It may be recalled that Sekhar Kammula and Dil Raju patiently waited for Sai Pallavi for a long time as she wasn’t willing to sign ‘Fidaa’ until she finishes her studies (MBBS), such was the importance she gave to education despite a filmmaker as influential as Dil Raju approached her. Beautiful actress Richa Gangopadhyay of ‘Mirchi’ and ‘Mirapakay’ fame has completely abandoned her flourishing career in films as she was more passionate about studies.

Several other young heroines have taken sabbatical at their prime to complete their studies. Of them, some made comeback and some got faded away by the time they decide to come back to films.

Tamil hero Karthi broke into tears when he attended the funeral of Jeevan Kumar, his ardent fan and also the District head of Thiruvannaamalai Karthi Fans Welfare Association. He passed away in a tragic car accident yesterday. Three of his friends from the association, who were also travelling with him in the car, sustained severe injuries.

Completely shattered with Jeevan Kumar’s demise, Karthi looked inconsolable at his funeral this morning. Jeevan, who was only 27, got married only three months back. Karthi attended his wedding as well.

Nani’s recent release, ‘MCA’ continues its unbelievable run at box office. After a massive opening weekend and huge Monday (Christmas holiday), the family entertainer has passed the first weekday (Tuesday) test with flying colors.

The Dil Raju production venture amassed a terrific Rs 2.20 Cr distributor share (approx. 4.10 Cr gross) on Tuesday from the Telugu states alone. The 6 days total share stands at 23.60 Cr with a gross of 37 Cr. The 6 days worldwide share accrues to about 29 Cr with a gross of 47 Cr.

All this box office mayhem despite mixed reviews and not so encouraging talk, Unbelievable! The film is likely to break even in all areas by today or tomorrow.
