The list of ’50 Sexiest Asian Men of 2017′ is out and the winner will take you by surprise. Dethroning singer Zayn Malik who has been winning this title for the past two years, and beating the handsome hunks like Hrithik Roshan, Fawad Khan, Ranveer Singh etc. Shahid Kapoor walked away with the title.

‘Padmavati’ star Shahid Kapoor, who stood No.7 last year, clinched the title of ‘Sexiest Asian Man in the world’ this year. Hrithik Roshan came second for the third year in a row and Zayn Malik dropped to third.

The rest of the top 10 consists of superstar Salman Khan, Virat Kohli (the only sportsman in the list), Pakistani star hero Fawad Khan, Ranveer Singh, and TV actors Vivian D’sena, Ashish Sharma and Gurmeet Choudhary.

The oldest in the list is 52-year-old Shah Rukh Khan. The annual list is based on votes from fans around the globe.

Last week, Priyanka Chopra was named the Sexiest Asian Woman this year, comfortably beating her contemporary Deepika Padukone.

Mumbai: Actress Kangana Ranaut, who graced the launch of author Shobhaa De’s latest book “Seventy and To Hell With It” here, has said she would love to write a book.

Interacting with the media on Wednesday, Kangana expressed her desire to collaborate with Shobhaa De to write a book.

“I will write a book when I am ready… Shobhaa De is always there to guide me. I would love to write a book and if I can collaborate with Shobhaa De, it will be great,” said Kangana.

“She understands the spirit and she is the original wild child and we are her followers. I would love to associate with her in future about my experiences, my plans and my life in general,” Kangana added.

Besides Kangana, other well-known names like Barkha Dutt, Madhu Shah, Priya Dutt, Gul Panag, Yash Birla and Avanti Birla also graced the book launch event.

Shobhaa De also shared her reasons to ask Kangana Ranaut to launch her book.

“I think she is a gladiator, a warrior, and she represents a lot in terms of, how women stand up for what they believe in. And I find her extraordinary, young, spunky and feisty. I have always been her admirer from the time she came into the film industry.”

“I really feel in today’s age, it takes a lot for women to stand up and now, there is a global community of women, who are standing up and speaking out and speaking for themselves and Kangana Ranaut is one of them, so I couldn’t have thought of a better person to launch the book,” added Shobhaa De.

Kangana is currently busy with “Manikarnika” and the film is being directed by Krish, a Telugu filmmaker.

The fearless filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is gearing up to make another faction backdrop film based on real incidents and/or personalities. After projects like Raktha Charithra and Vangaveeti, Varma has decided to showcase the true lives of Reddy Community people in Kadapa.

Unlike his earlier projects, this new project on Kadapa Reddys will be a web series which gives Varma the freedom of bypassing the Censor Board scissors. Titled ‘Kadapa’, it will be the first ever original Telugu web Series made for an international audience, as described by RGV.

Varma said that the story of the entire series of ‘Kadapa’ is the summation of what he had gathered over many years ever since he had first researched ‘Rakta Charitra’. He added that he couldn’t show the true Rayala Seema’s hardcoreness in ‘Raktha Charithra’ due to various restrictions and threats, and that he would tell the true story now, in this web series titled ‘Kadapa’ in the most naked way possible.

The trailer of Season 1 of this web series will release at 10 AM on December 15.It may be noted that Kadapa is RGV’s second web series after “Guns and Thighs”, a Hindi Web series on the Mumbai Mafia.

The super success of “Arjun Reddy” at the box office has made director Sandeep Reddy Vanga a sought after filmmaker in Tollywood. And then, there is buzz that he will be directing another set of newcomers in Bollywood as he remakes this film there.

Keeping the clouds on his next project intact, currently, Sandeep is seen frequenting Ram Charan’s house on many occasions. Actually, this director got close to Sharwanand and through him, he’s meeting the mega hero. Other day, Sharwa, Sandeep and UV Creations partner Vicky are seen spending time together.

Mohan Babu’s new flick with catchy title Gayatri is generating good buzz in the market. The film regarded as a massive comeback for Mohan Babu finished production works and is all set for a massive release on February 9 next year.

Gayatri is special for Mohan Babu because the film has got a powerful storyline suits alone on an artist of his stature. While Nikhila Vimal played the title character, it’s Manchu Vishnu and Shriya’s special roles are sure to garner more interest. Brahmanandam, Anasuya are into other pivotal characters and SS Thaman composed music.

Getting in 40+ crores share-club took time even for the likes of Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan, two star kids who got big backing and planning. But still, Akhil Akkineni wanted to break into that club with the very first film only and the rest is known to all. In that context, how is going to be “Hello” like at trade perspective?

Though Akhil’s “Akhil” was sold for 43+ crores, theatrical rights of his so-called relaunch film “Hello” are sold worldwide for 32 crores only. While AP and Telangana rights fetched 26+ crores, the Overseas price went up to 3 crores and other Indian territories fetched 3+ crores. Though his first film was a disaster, still there is craze Akhil could cash on, but that didn’t happen.

With Nagarjuna himself in the producer’s seat, talented Vikram K Kumar handling direction and Anup Rubens scoring impressive music, the film would have easily fetched more. But it looks like Akkineni senior don’t want to create targets that are beyond reach for his son. He has realistic calculation when it comes to estimating the market, say trade experts.

Even then, Akhil should bring 29+ crores share from domestic market, a mark that was breached by the likes Nani and Rana after a lot of struggles, hard work and some hits all the way. Comparatively with ‘Akhil’, this ‘Hello’ is priced low but the target is higher and possible only if the film gets hit talk.

Only the target for Overseas looks little easier, as the presence of Vikram Kumar might repeat a 1 million feat for Hello, putting distributors on a profitable path as they need to recover only 3 crores. Hope Akhil will impress this time and ticks all those big numbers.
