If a film is getting delayed, naturally the rumours around it keep mushrooming. And that is the case with Rangasthalam as well as the film got pushed to March from Sankranthi. Right now, various stories are doing rounds regarding the story of the film.

Recently it came as a surprise when rumours started doing rounds that Allu Arjun has given a story idea to Sukumar and he turned that into Rangasthalam 1985. Another recent update is that the story of this Ram Charan and Samantha starrer was actually inspired by a Megastar Chiranjeevi movie only.

During the early days of his career, Chiranjeevi acted in a film titled “Oorikichhina Maata” that was carved by actor-director Balayya. This actor is popular for his role as the grand father of Nagarjuna in Manmadhudu movie.

Cut to the story of that 1981 starrer, actually an illiterate and poor Chiranjeevi and his educated brother Sudhakar lives in a hamlet where there are no medical facilities. Then Chiru sends his brother to a city to study medicine and come back to the village to establish a clinic. After going to the city, Sudhakar changes minds and avoids his brother. Upon confrontation with villagers, Chiru goes to town to plead his brother but hears only a no. He then starts earning a living as a rickshaw puller and kidnaps his brother’s wife to village such that brother will come back. The rest is the climax part, a positive one, as usual.

It’s heard that even Ram Charan is playing a similar role while Aadhi will be seen as his brother who goes to town to pursue medicine. We have to wait for the trailer release of the film at least to find out the authenticity of it.

Prabhas, of Bahubali fame, is easily one of the most eligible bachelors in the country right now. In fact, he is the only South hero to be featured in the Top 10 Stars of Indian Cinema of 2017 by IMDB recently. And the actor’s marriage news has been there from a longtime and always hits headlines every now and then. Here is a fresh update on Prabhas marriage and who is really holding it back.

Responding to a question on Prabhas marriage, his uncle Krishnam Raju revealed that who is holding it back – Prabhas himself. Krishnam Raju stated that the family has shortlisted a slew of profiles for Prabhas and is all ready to get him hitched but the family is only waiting for Prabhas’ nod. If Prabhas gives his go ahead, the family is very much ready to take the things forward and make the wedding arrangements in a lavish way.

Currently, Prabhas is shooting for tri-lingual action entertainer Saaho. So, it needs to be seen when Prabhas would give his consent for wedding. Earlier during the promotions of Baahubali : The Conclusion, Prabhas has indicated that “there is time for my marriage”. But fans and his family wants to know ‘how much time’ it is.

The combination of director Vikram K Kumar and composer Anup Rubens have delivered some lovely audio albums like Ishq and Manam earlier. As the duo joined forces now, ‘Hello’ is expected to be another glorious album. The whole bunch of songs made an impression, but frankly speaking, there is one major disappointment.

In Ishq movie, we have seen popular singer Adnan Sami rendering voice for ‘O Priya Priya’ and then talented Arijit Singh repeated the similar feat with ‘Kanulanu Thake Kala’ from Manam. Both those songs are number one from their respective albums. And now, what is such song from Hello? Actually the song ‘Yevevo’ would have become such big hit provided with the fact that Akhil Akkineni hasn’t sung it.

For starters, Akhil has not just sung the song Yevevo at IIFA and Audio launch, but he has done it for the film as well. However the song lost its charm with Akhil’s voice being thick and flat, and with those musical ups and downs missing in his vocals.

“Ee merupemito.. ee parguemito” is one strong expression in the song where Akhil’s untrained voice refused to give that much needed classical touch. For that reason, it is neither mellifluous nor any passionate-romance inducing. On the other hand, female-version lyrics sung by Jonitha Gandhi are taking the song to next level instantly. As she utters lines like ’emo emaindo’ ‘ee maya peremito’ is just amazing, giving us that lovely feel.

Needless to say, Akhil has put good efforts, but he should have chosen a simple song rather than aiming his target at best song of the album.

Even as Dil Raju continues to boast that he has had five hits in a row in 2017 and is set to for double hat-trick with MCA, many in trade are puzzled over Raju’s tall claims.

While Shatamanam Bhavati, Fidaa and Nenu Local might have been successful, there are many doubts, controversies surrounding the collections of DJ and Raja The Great. It is learnt that in several areas Raja The Great ended as a loss venture. While Raju might have pocketed his profits, a few buyers have lost monies on Raja.

Blame the poor comedy, predictable story, non-season and lack of proper promotions as the reasons for the film failing to meet the expectations. However, producer-distributor Raju has been successful once again in projecting it as a hit overall .

And the open public controversy over DJ’s numbers need no reiteration. None other than mega fans themselves have questioned the authenticity of figures and did a huge ruckus outside Raju’s office protesting how DJ beaten Khaidi.

However, despite all this, one should appreciate Raju for bagging 3 hits in a year. This is no less achievement. But actually showcasing average movies as hits is not a welcome move. Of course, Raju is not the only one but there are many other producers who does it on a regular basis. But since Raju has his own mark, it is better, at least he would be fair and set good precedent to the rest.
