Rakul to be Harish Shankar’s Heroine!
Rakul Preet Singh has been waiting to sign her next Telugu film, but there haven’t been many offers.Although she is a top-league actress in Telugu, her films have fared badly of late making producers and directors to think twice about casting her.With a series of flops this year like ‘Winner’, ‘Jaya Janaki Nayaka’ and ‘Spyder’, her success ratio has come down drastically.
Thankfully, ‘Khakee’ did well at the box-office, but like in Spyder, Rakul’s role was highly criticized. So, what will be her movies in 2018? As of now, she is said to have signed director Harish Shankar’s multi-starrer.And being an author-backed role, Rakul is said to have given her nod to it. The film will of course have two heroes and another heroine.
On the other hand, while she was the first choice for Ram Charan’s film with Boyapati, the makers are thinking of casting Anu Emmanuel or Raasi Khanna in the film. Meanwhile, reports say Anu has already given her nod.
Yet Another Ultimatum From Mudragada!
The fire of Kapu reservations issue continue to rage in Andhra Pradesh notwithstanding the recent passage of the bill in the state assembly providing five per cent reservation for the community in education and employment opportunities in the state.The bill, which was approved by Governor E S L Narasimhan, was sent to the Centre for ratification in Parliament.
However, going by the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the bill is unlikely to get the Parliament nod because it results in the increase of total percentage of reservations beyond the upper limit of 50 per cent fixed by the Supreme Court.And it has given a fresh weapon to Kapu strongman and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham.Though Mudragada appeared to have lost his momentum with the Chandrababu Naidu government deciding to give five per cent quota, the latest statement from the Prime Minister has given yet another weapon to attack Naidu.
Apparently realising that Naidu cannot prevail upon the Modi government to approve the Kapu quota, Mudragada started stepping up the attack on Naidu.He held a meeting the leaders of Kapu Joint Action Committees at his Kirlampudi residence on Tuesday to discuss th4 strategy.He told media later that he was giving yet another ultimatum to Naidu to bring the Kapu reservations into implementation by March 31 at any cost.
“We shall wait up to March 31 to see that the Centre approves the bill. If no decision is taken by that time, we will intensify our agitation and teach a fitting lesson to Naidu,” Mudragada warned.He also came up with a fresh demand saying the Kapus should get reservations not just education and employment but also in politics.
“Without political reservations, no justice would be done to the Kapus,” Mudragada said
Naidu Compromises With Rayapati?
Finally, Telugu Desam Party MP from Narsaraopet Rayapati Sambasiva Rao is learnt to have brought his party boss and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on his knees with regard to Polavaram project tenders.According to reports, Naidu, who has been hell-bent on separating major project works like spillway and channel component of the Polavaram project from original contracting firm Transstroy Limited promoted by Rayapati and entrust the works to other contractors, has come to a compromise with Rayapati and came up with a new proposal.
As per the new proposal, Transstroy can join the new contractors selected through fresh tenders and form a consortium and take up the major works of Polavaram.That way, the project works could be speeded up and Transstroy also wound not end up on losing side. In return, the Transstroy would withdraw all its complaints and litigations against the state government.
It is learnt Rayapati has agreed for the compromise and make Transstroy as the consortium partner. It is not yet known which company would lead the consortium by having a larger share.It is definitely a climb-down for Naidu, but he has no option but to make the proposal if he has to hush up the talk of kickbacks from Transstroy and also benefit his favourite contractors.
In a way, it is a win-win situation for Naidu and Rayapati!

The theatrical trailer of Vikram Kumar’s Akhil starrer ‘Hello’ has shown glimpses of a truck carrying thousands of mobile phones.All those mobile phones are stolen cell phones. Buzz is that the movie’s basic premise runs on this new point – mobile theft mafia.
While the point of ‘mobile theft mafia’ has not been explored, industry is abuzz that the rest of the drama is similar to an old Hollywood movie called “Cellular” starring Kim Basinger and Chris Evans that was released in 2005.In “Cellular”, a young man receives an emergency phone call on his cell phone from an older woman who claims to have been kidnapped.
Similarly, in “Hello”, the hero gets a call from a girl saying she is kidnapped by a gang. How the hero finds her and frees her in a single day forms the story.Vikram Kumar is a master storyteller who weaves stories with emotional touch. Probably he was inspired by the Hollywood movie’s plotline but we are sure he will bring forth his originality in totality.

Romantic Role Designed for NTR?
Contrary to reports, NTR is not doing action drama for director Trivikram.Close sources to the director have informed that he will be playing a lover boy in the movie and the story is family romantic drama on the lines of “Ninne Pelladutha” and “DDLJ”. There will be little action but it is going to be primarily romantic family drama.
NTR who has returned from foreign trip has now started slimming down and preparing for this role. Since this is first pairing with NTR, director Trivikram and production house Haarika Haasini Creations are planning a unique way. The sets will be lavish too, said the source.
Heroine for the film has not yet been finalized but Pooja Hegde is being considered as one option. Anirudh Ravichander has already signed the movie as the music director.
Regular shoot is expected to commence from March 2018.

Chandrababu Naidu under attack from various quarters suddenly decides that Kapu should get 5% reservation and gets the Bill passed in the Assembly.This is not something that will stand in a Court of law. But Chandrababu can always say that he had passed the Bill but the Centre and Courts rejected it. That way, he can appease both the Kapus and BCs.
And immediately after the reservation bill is passed, Pawan Kalyan enters the scene and his primary target is YS Jagan.It is the Kapu vote bank that will once again prove crucial in 2019 and by passing the bill and getting Pawan Kalyan to enter the scene once again;
Chandrababu has once again proved himself to be a shrewd politician. But should the Kapu community decide to place the welfare of Andhra Pradesh above that of Pawan Kalyan or casteist considerations, Pawan Kalyana and the TDP might be in for a very rude shock in 2019.Having said that, it is perhaps foolish to expect such broad-mindedness in caste-ridden Andhra Pradesh.
Nagarjuna Hurting Directors With His Statements
Nagarjuna is undoubtedly one of the best judges of a film. He talked so bad about director Veerabhadram after the failure of Bhai. Now he is talking the same about Akhil’s failure.
Nagarjuna believed Vinayak and Nithin to launch his son Akhil Akkineni and they have given their best to make Akhil a memorable film.Nithin invested nearly Rs. 40 crore on a debut hero and Vinayak also did the best with the story that was approved by Nag and Akhil. But Nagarjuna is not even respecting their efforts and has been repeatedly saying that Hello is re-launch for Akhil.
It is just disrespecting Akhil producer’s money and the team’s efforts just because it turned out to be a flop.Nagarjuna has been stealing away the limelight from his directors by making statements that indicate he is the sole reason for success of films like Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam.Even Chiranjeevi plays huge role in the shaping the career of Charan, but he never goes overboard and take the credit for it.

The three-day ‘Chalore chalore chal..’ tour of power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan from Visakhapatnam to Ongole that ended on Saturday has made everybody wonder whether he came out of his busy film schedule only to bail out Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who has been under tremendous pressure over Polavaram and other issues.
While he tried to give an impression that he was pulling up the TDP, Pawan’s focus was mostly on targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party at the Centre and the YSR Congress party in the state.He sought to raise certain issues concerning the public, but instead of attacking the state, he was going soft on Naidu.In fact, on Kapu reservations issue, he tried to defend the chief minister and question leaders like Mudragada for making an issue.
His critics are now questioning Pawan as to why he did not question Naidu for failing to implement the promises he had made in the party manifesto before the elections.“Apparently, Pawan has not read the election manifesto of Naidu, while extending support to the TDP in the last elections. Otherwise, why didn’t he question the chief minister for failing to implement the manifesto?” a senior Congress leader asked.
He advised Pawan to once again go through the TDP election manifesto so that the latter could get knowledge to question the state government.“Otherwise, Pawan ‘s mask would soon be soon unveiled,” he remarked.
Actress Doesn’t Use Sanitary Pads, Here Is Why
It seems Bollywood actress Dia Mirza, who was chosen as the UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador a few days ago, has set about her task of creating awareness about environmental issues.In a recent interview, the actress revealed that she doesn’t use sanitary napkins because it’s non-biodegradable.
“The sanitary napkins and diapers are polluting the environment on a larger scale and that’s why during periods, I have stopped using pads. As an actor, if I am saying this, then it is a big thing because we also promote sanitary napkins. Whenever I get offers of sanitary napkins promotions, I clearly deny them,” she said.
Apparently, the actress has been using biodegradable alternatives for a long time now.
“I use biodegradable napkins that get destroyed 100 percent naturally. In our country, many women still use pieces of cotton cloth during periods… but now, many options have come. And sadly, most of them are bad for the environment,” she said, urging women to trade their plastic sanitary napkins for eco-friendly alternatives.The actress, who has been away from the limelight for a long time now, is all set to make a comeback through Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic.
