Share

To make the government realise its political responsibility and to study and understand problems at the root level, Janasena Party president Pawan Kalyan has decided to take up a whirlwind tour in Andhra Pradesh and also Telangana starting from tomorrow.

Embarking on a campaign titled “Chalo Re, Chalo Re Chal”, Pawan Kalan claimed that it is his responsibility to console the families of those students who have committed suicide in Osmania University and those families who lost their loved ones in Krishna District boating accident. He confirms, “My responsibility is moral”.

He also stated that he’s also responsible for these deaths of farmers, atrocities on women and other tragic incidents, but not accountable for them. “Enough is enough. Those in power are accountable for these. As a human and Janasena Chief, I’m going to out to hold the government accountable”.

This could be read as an answer to YSR Congress, saying that he should not be blamed and also an indication that he will breathe fire on Telugudesam party from tomorrow.

“I may succeed or not, but I’m setting out from tomorrow to make sure that masses who have become victims of crimes will get their justice,” he said, demanding transparency.

At the same time, Pawan also released a song titled Chalo Re, Chalo Re Chal, which is said to be inspired by Gunturu Seshendra Sharma’s poetry. However the song starts with the tune composed for ‘Jalsa’ of same lyrics and then includes Pawan’s speeches and Trivikram’s words too.

Actor Vishal’s nomination papers for the RK Nagar bypoll was rejected on Tuesday.

Vishal, who is the President of the Tamil Film Producers Council and is the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam had filed his nomination papers on Monday.

According to reports, his nomination papers were rejected as two of his proposers had said that it was not their signature.

Vishal is the second high-profile candidate whose nomination papers were rejected.

Earlier during the day, former TN CM’s J Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa’s nomination was also rejected.

It was only on Monday that the film director and producer Cheran and few other TFPC members had conducted a sit-in protest inside the Producers Council office premises.

They had asked Vishal to step down from the post of TFPC President, if he was contesting in the RK Nagar bypoll.

Pawan On Chalore Chalore Chal… Tour!

After going into a virtual political oblivion for quite some time due to busy shooting schedule, power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan is going to be back into political action, albeit for a short period.

Pawan will kick-off his three-day political journey in the name of “Chalore Chalore Chal..” from Wednesday in both the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

On the day one, he will call on the family of Murali, a post-graduate student of Osmania University, who committed suicide.

He said Murali’s suicide out of depression that he might not get job forever, had created a lot of anguish. He appealed to the students not to lose heart and resort to extreme step, but fight for their rights.

Secondly, Pawan will call on the family of Venkatesh, employee of Dredging Corporation of India of Visakhapatnam, fearing that he might lose his job since the BJP government has decided to privatise it. He will go to Vizianagaram to call on the family.

Thirdly, he would go to Ongole to call on the families of 22 persons who died in tragic boat tragedy in Krishna river in Vijayawada.

By taking up these incidents, Pawan’s strategy appears to be to target three governments – the TRS government in Telangana, BJP government in the Centre and the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh.

Let us wait and see how he will attack these parties!

India’s largest markerspace to come up in Hyderabad

Share

Hyderabad: India’s largest makerspace, a prototyping and design centre, will come up here next year and will have equipment worth over $20 million, Telangana’s Industry Minister K.T. Rama Rao announced here on Tuesday.

To be known as T-Works, the facility will come up over 250,00 square feet with many partners offering their software tools and equipment.

Modelled on the lines of makerspaces in other countries and customised to Indian needs, this will probably be the world’s second largest facility of its kind, he said.

Anybody with an idea can collaborate with other people at T-Works and convert his or her designs into working prototype.

“T-Works will be up and running around this time next year,” the Minister said, while addressing India Design Summit organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, adding anybody could use freely available tools — software, test and measurement equipment — to build any product.

“T-Works will allow anyone young or old school student, graduate or retired professor, man or woman to collaborate with other intelligent individuals and converge their designs on paper or PC and convert it into working prototype,” said Rama Rao, son of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Open to all Indians, the facility will have CNC machines, cutting machines of all kinds, welding and carpentry tools, PCB assembly machines, and 3D printers of all ranges.

“This I believe is going to change the way we do business especially with respect to design and hardware space in India,” he said.

The Minister said T-Works will help in making products in domains like mechanical, electro mechanic, electronics and semiconductor spaces.

It will also help in making products in automobiles, IoT, avionics, drones, med devices, medical instruments, defence equipment, consumer electronics, telecom products, mobile devices, gadgets and sensors.

“T-Works will become one of cornerstones and essential hub in the wheel in heralding a new wave of entrepreneurs, makers, tinkerers and designers of all kinds, aesthetic, textile, fashion, lifestyle, mechanical and technological,” he added.

Sai Dharam Tej’s Dressing In Discussion

Share

From last few weeks, hero Sai Dharam Tej is in the news all over for his “Jawaan” that released last Friday. While the talk about this film, this mega hero’s take on Gangleader remake, his chemistry with other mega heroes, his satires on affairs are big news, here is another one people are discussing.

Other day at an event that took place in Prasad Labs, actually Sai Dharam Tej appeared in a Kurta and plain pant. Looking at this, one could easily guess that these days he’s appearing in similar costume most of the time.

Whether it is at Jawan special screening at Sri Ramulu theatre or some other interviews, or interacting with college students at various towns like Eluru, he appeared in similar Kurtas. When this costume is not related to the character he played inside Jawaan movie, what could be the motive behind wearing it? is the question now.

Some say he’s following his uncle Pawan Kalyan and cousin Ram Charan who is also appearing in similar Kurtas these days. That looks like all mega heroes are trying to make a mark with similar appearances.

Charan Picks Yet Another Bunny’s Heroine

Share

Hailing from the same mega family, both the star heroes Ram Charan and his cousin Allu Arjun are having this unique habit of picking each other’s heroines for their upcoming films.

Sometimes Charan picked the one who acted with Bunny and vice versa, and they did it again now. If we have a look at the way these two worked with the same heroines in the recent times, it goes this way.

Both were seen romancing Kajal Agarwal in 2009 for Magadheera and Arya 2 respectively. While Charan did it first, he has also done three more movies with this Mumbai beauty later. And in 2011, both have shared the screen with milky siren Tamanna Bhatia. After Stylish Star did Badrinath with her, Mega Powerstar picked her for Rachha. Then we have Amala Paul working with Cherry in Naayak and picked by Bunny for Iddarammayilatho.

Similarly, Shruti Haasan first worked in Yevadu and then starred in Race Gurram. There came another spicy siren Rakul Preet Kaur, who starred in Charan’s Bruce Lee and then joined Bunny’s Sarrainodu. Then for his upcoming film Rangasthalam 1985, Charan picked Samantha after a lot of consultations. Earlier this top starlet worked with Allu Arjun in 2015 release S/o Satyamurthy.

Meanwhile, Kajal, Tamanna, Shruti Haasan and Samantha also romanced another top mega hero Pawan Kalyan as well.

Latest update is that Bunny’s Naa Peru Surya heroine Anu Emmanuel is being considered as a lead girl for Ram Charan’s next that will have Boyapati Seenu in the director’s seat. Also, Anu is currently another lead in Agnathavasi too. Let’s wait for the official confirmation.

Even though the teaser, trailer, songs and other content of the Varun Tej-starrer Tholi Prema is due, the film’s pre-release business numbers are shocking the trade. Directed by newcomer Venky, the film’s theatrical rights have fetched a handsome Rs 18.13 Crore.

Producer-distributor Dil Raju acquired the entire theatrical rights of the film. This is good pre-release deal for Varun Tej’s film.

Varun’s last film Fidaa is a double blockbuster. Produced by Dil Raju himself, Fidaa went onto gross 90 Crore i.e a share of 48 Crore. So, naturally, Raju has come forward to offer Rs 18.13 Crore for Tholi Prema.

Meanwhile, producer BVSN Prasad has already pocketed fancy amount through the satellite rights. Gemini has bought the film’s TV rights. We hear that the film’s audio rights too got good money. Prasad is laughing all the way to the bank.

Pakistani jailed for writing ‘Zindabad Hindustan’

Share

A resident of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was taken into police custody and booked for treason (a case that’s registered for betraying one’s own country). Why? Read on…

A Pakistani youngster named Sajid Shah has reportedly inscribed the slogan ‘Zindabad Hindustan’ on the compound wall of his home and that has apparently triggered a fury in his area. Every other guy who passed by his residence took a snap of it and emailed to police officials to book him for ‘treason’.

The police officials, who have taken Sajid into custody, have asked him to erase it off as it would hurt the nationalism of Pakistanis. But, he didn’t brush it off. As a result, Sajid was put behind the bars.

The enmity between Hindustan (India) and Pakistan is known to the entire world and the diplomacy between two countries is only confined to global meetings. Many a times, Pakistan has voiced its friendly hand for India, but it stands untrue it on the ground.

Fidaa Actress Says Producer Tried To Rape Her

Share

Casting Couch, a phenomenon that goes like offer-in-a-film for sex, is not quite rampant in India film industries, say industry people. But after Hollywood’s Harvey Weinstein episode stunned the world, many Indian actresses are opening up, saying #MeToo.

Young actress Gayathri Gupta has shot to fame with the friend role of Sai Pallavi she has done in “Fidaa” movie. While she got acclaim for the short role inside the super successful Sekhar Kammula film, the actress says it isn’t a cakewalk in Telugu Film Industry.

“Earlier when I was offered a film, I’ve clearly stated them that I can’t give any commitments like sleeping with producer/director or having sex with them for this role. While they said there is nothing such, it didn’t go well as time passed. They started telling me that they will offer money for a night. Though I’ve cleared that I don’t want to earn money or fame by losing self-respect, they started forcing me” she reveals, not with a broken heart, but confident that she didn’t bend for any such offers or threats.

She adds, “One day on the pretext of dropping me home, the producer acted as if his car broke-down for real en route home and took me to his house. He tried to pull my clothes and rape me, which I averted and left the place. Later I’ve opted out of that film”.

However, it is the closing line from the actress that stuns anyone. “I fill fight against exploitation, and I feel that the producer tried to force me because some females have already agreed to his demands. So we need to check that as well” she concludes.

Big day for ‘Polavaram’ project

Share

Following the row that erupted after the letter from union secretary for Irrigation Ministry to review the Polavaram tenders issued by Andhra Pradesh state government and stop the spill-way works that are underway, the central minister for water resources and river development- Nitin Gadkari is going to conduct a high-level meeting this evening at 6:00.

Apart from state irrigation minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Chief Secretary of Irrigation department Shashi Bhushan Kumar and Engineering Chief were also asked to attend this meeting in Delhi. This high-level meeting will also be attended by chief contracting company ‘Transstroy’ and other sub-contractors of Polavaram Project.

Besides the state-issued tender for 1483-crore, the centre will discuss controversial Copper Dam issue and status of Spillway works.

Prior to this meeting, Andhra Congress leaders Raghuveera Reddy, KVP Ramchandra Rao and Rudraraju are going to meet Gadkari to understand the status of this national project. Also, on other hand, CM Chandrababu Naidu has seriously passed on the instructions to finish this project by end of 2018.

Till September this year, government has spent more than 13,000 Crore on the project and more 39,000 Crore was required to finish it. The national project requires 32,000 Crores for resettlement, rehabilitation and land acquisition.
