Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s roar against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government at the Centre for its alleged callousness towards the state has turned out to be a mere whimper within 24 hours.
Naidu displayed a lot of aggression and restlessness against the Narendra Modi government for allegedly going back on the promises like special financial package and assistance for capital construction, besides creating hurdles in the construction of Polavaram multi-purpose project on Thursday.
Almost all the national media highlighted Naidu’s aggression and went to the extent of predicting that the days of the TDP-BJP alliance is over. They highlighted Naidu’s statement that he would “leave” the centre with a “namaskaram,” if the Centre continued to ignore the state’s interests. However, within 24 hours, he changed his tune stating that he would fight for the state’s rights while continuing the alliance with the BJP.
Apparently, Naidu realised that his aggression would only prove counter-productive at this stage, since he cannot run the show without the Centre’s help. And, he does not want to commit first on severing ties with the BJP but wants to create such a situation that the blame would go on to the Centre if there is any delay in the construction of Polavaram works. He wants to push the BJP into the defensive and expose its callousness towards the southern state.
Indications are that Naidu will drag the issue as long as he can before pulling out of NDA.He will seek repeated appointments with the Prime Minister and even propose to take a delegation of all party leaders to Delhi to discuss the issue of Polavaram and other issues related to special package.Simultaneously, he will try to generate a sort of negative sentiment among the public towards the BJP and once the cold war erupts into an open battle, Naidu will pull out of the NDA, say sources.

Sonam Kapoor is undoubtedly the fashionista of Bollywood. The actress has never failed to impress us with her style statements; be it in India or in abroad.
However, when asked about it at the ongoing Reliance Digital and Filmfare GlamourAndStyleAwards, she said, “People think I’m stylish. But I like wearing men’s clothes. But it’s definitely my sister Rhea Kapoor. She has wonderful people working under her.”
The actress will next be seen in her sister Rhea’s productional venture ‘Veere Di Wedding’ also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in lead roles.Speaking about the film, Sonam averred, “It’s a very good film. It has female leads. It’s commercial, filmy and a happy romantic film.”
If he’s a present generation hero, then one super hit will bring him almost a dozen films to his kitty out of which 5-6 films will surely see light in theatres. But this guy scored a super-hit decades back and is almost fading now; surprisingly he’s busy signing movies.
He happens to be a hero from a ‘fantastic’ background and has done many films in his career. Few wrong moves and hot headed decisions have completely ditched him from offers. But suddenly opportunities started sprouting for him with many young directors knocking his doors. Surprisingly all these films also had a new producer for each of the project. How is this happening?
Some say that he is projecting these new producers on the stage, though the real fact is that he’s the true investor for these projects. But some insiders revealed that his professional behaviour, good nature and simplicity is making new producers think that he’s better than many present generation young heroes. Whatever the reason may be, in the last one year he took only a couple of days break and now nearly 4-5 films of him are getting ready for a release. Hope his career gets revived.
Unlike those ruling starlets like Samantha, Kajal, Shruti, Tamanna and Rakul, the next generation has different plans. Growing number of heroines are liking to make audiences hear their original voice. Here goes the count by one more number.Already the likes of Nitya Menon has impressed Telugu audiences with her own dubbing for all of her films, whether her character is long or shot. Now we have Mallu hotties Keerthi Suresh and Anu Emmanuel also uttering their lines themselves to impress Telugu audiences. These two have given their voice for Agnathavasi.
Latest to join this dubbing-gang is none other than Takita Takita fame Hari Priya. This hottie from Bangalore is playing the second fiddle in Balayya’s upcoming film Jai Simha. For her part, she’s lending her own voice as well. Seems like most of the latest heroines are not interested in someone else giving a life to their character than themselves.
More than anything, dubbing oneself for their own role brings a new identity that can’t be stolen by anyone. As voice modulation is a soul like a thing, own-dubbing will make audiences dear to these hotties. Why would not Telugu people love these non-native hotties talking in the local language?
Sharing of theatres is a major issue these days in case if many ‘hyped’ films are releasing on the same day. That’s the reason stars are maintaining at least one week gap in case if they have to compete with others.
Surprisingly three hyped movies including Hello, MCA and Okka Kshanam have decided to field more or less on the same day at box office. It would be a different race if these films are from other producers, but the presence of Nagarjuna, Dil Raju and Allu Arvind behind them made the race interesting.
At a time when Dil Raju is expected to push his MCA to another date, he has stuck with 21st, while Nagarjuna is bringing Hello on 22nd. At this juncture, Allu Arvind gave a breather to Nagarjuna by moving Okka Kshanam from 23rd to 28th. Because when it comes to grabbing theatres, both Raju and Allu have upper hand over Nag. As Raju is not willing to move, Allu’s breather will help Nag amass more theatres for Hello.
Despite this clever and tactical placement of films at theatres, its content that works big time. While it became a routine for Raju and Nani these days to score a hit, it is crucial for Akhil and Allu Sirish to score hits. Let’s see what happens.
Natural Star is once again coming up with a breezy entertainer in the form of MCA aka Middle Class Abbayi. Going by the trailer of this Venu Sriram directorial, the film banks high on comedy and emotions.
What stuns the fans of Nani is that the presence of another incredibly talented starlet Sai Pallavi. Just in the trailer for the film itself, she has outshined our hero in that one shot she appeared. Generally, it is Nani who eats away the presence of other talented actors in his films, but now he’s getting eaten away, say film buffs.
A report is doing rounds that Sai Pallavi has dominated Nani completely in the songs. Because he’s not in the business of doing gracious and impressive dance moves though he manages a good show. Now that our Tamil hottie is proven and also a prize-winning dancer, she’s said to have nailed it even if it is a simple walk, turn and smile kinds of montage.
Maybe for the first time ever, Nani has got such a stunning actress as his competition that even audiences and critics will now find difficult to rate who did better. But some random film industry quip, ‘If Sai Pallavi continues to dominate heroes this way, how long she will stay?’.
Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan is well known for speaking his heart out and he often does it. The actor who attended HT leadership summit in New Delhi reacted to the most-debated thing in Bollywood – it’s about casting couch.
The 52-year old unmarried actor said, ‘No one has come and confirmed it. I’ve been there for the longest time, my father has been here for more time than me. Till today, I have not heard anyone come and say it straight out.’ He also added, ‘if any one is there with a principle that you have to sleep with them to get a job then it’s the most disgusting thing ever.’
The Big Boss host revealed that he never heard anything like that and further said, ‘If a lady or a man comes to me and tells me about such thing, I’ll take them down to the cleaners.’ Many Bollywood actors like Ranveer Singh, Radhika Apte, Tisca Chopra & Ashish Bisht have spoken about their casting couch experiences and said whether they are comfortable on the bed or not!
After a lot of dilly-dallying and dodging over three years, the Chandrababu Naidu government has finally decided to give some push to the much-publicised demand for inclusion of Kapus in the BC quota.
The Naidu cabinet, which met on Friday, approved the report of the Justice Manjunatha Commission, constituted to look into the issue of inclusion of Kapus into the BCs.
The chief minister told a meeting of the Telugu Desam Legislature Party in Amaravati that the Manjunatha Commission would be tabled in the state legislative assembly on Saturday and would be debated.
After that, a resolution would be passed in the House seeking the Centre to approve the enhanced quota for OBCs so as to make space for Kapus.
“We are committed to fulfilling our promise made in our election manifesto. Since we cannot take a decision without a proper procedure as it would be struck off by the court, we have appointed the Manjunatha Commission so as to go through a legal process,” he said.
May be, Naidu has expedited the matter of Kapu reservations to pre-empt former minister and Kapu strongman Mudragada Padmanabham from taking up the massive agitation from December 6.
Mudragada set a deadline of December 6 for the announcement of reservations for Kapus.
It remains to be seen how Mudragada will react to the Manjunatha Commission report and the resolution to be adopted in the assembly.
Actor Rana Daggubati alongside other celebs like Vir Das and Gauahar Khan say it’s hard to work in December as they are in a holiday mood.
“My favourite month of the year begins! It’s so hard to get work done in December because the holidays have started in my head,” Rana tweeted on Friday.
Taking to the micro-blogging site, Vir wrote: “It’s December. A month where 99 per cent of the people you know pretend to work while secretly booking tickets, reading year end lists, and subtly checking what your plans are to see if they’re missing out.”
