Oscar Award winning musician AR Rahman has opted out of Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. However, it is neither due to some creative differences nor due to remuneration, but Rahman’s hectic schedule is the reason why he couldn’t work for the film.

Humble Rahman stated that Chiranjeevi is a great actor and the film has an impeccable story, but he could not work for it as he is so occupied with several films and his own movie 99 Songs, a film co-written and produced by Rahman himself while it is directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy.

So, this explains how busy Rahman is. “I’m human. I need to be practical on how much work I can take up,” Rahman was quoted as saying.

Rahman is in Hyderabad for his music concert that celebrates 25 years of his music journey. Given that Rahman has started his music career in Hyderabad itself (in Koti’s team), the concert being held in Hyderabad is certainly a nostalgic one.

Meanwhile, many opine that how did team Sye Raa went onto announce Rahman’s name without his confirmation. If there is any change, it would had been good if they themselves announce it in the first place instead of Rahman to clarify.

Producer Bandla Ganesh has now openly produced proofs that he paid 1.04 crores to Vakkantam Vamsi to the exploitation of all the rights regarding ‘Temper’ script. Also, he confirmed that he will also pursue the case legally and make sure that justice will be done.

Industry folks are however stunned as to why Bandla Ganesh suddenly released proofs and then claimed his innocence. When similar stuff happened with hero and producer Sachin Joshi, our Gabbar Singh maker never published any such proofs on social media. But why is it now?

It’s being heard in Film Nagar that a cooked up story has deeply hurt Ganesh and that is the reason he opened up with proofs. Evidently, that story says Ganesh wants to approach Allu Arjun now for a settlement with Vakkantam Vamsi. But the producer, in reality, is not looking forward to any such, including meeting Bunny. Because he has upper hand legally as all the proofs speak big for him.

Meanwhile, netizens are terming this whole happening as something that could win sympathy and financiers for Bandla Ganesh, whose new production venture is yet to start. Because craze occurs through controversy and some know how to retain it for a long time.

Rajinikanth and Mammootty, the superstars of Tamil and Malayalam cinema respectively, are likely to reunite after 26 years. Its not for any Tamil or Malayalam film but a Marathi one.

Reports are emerging that both these superstars will be making their debut together in Marathi film industry with a new film titled “Pasaayadan”. Debutante Deepak Bhave will direct this film. The project is being produced by Maharashtra politician Balkrishna Surve, who is said to have been instrumental in bringing Rajinikanth and Mammootty on board.

The duo were earlier seen together in Mani Ratnam’s iconic film Dalapathi (1991). Meanwhile, there have been rumors that Mammootty will make a special appearance in Rajini’s “Kaala” but there is no official confirmation on the same.

However, the hard copy of ‘Mana Akkineni’ is said to have fascinated him a lot. It is a photo-biography of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao and the book has some rare and unseen photographs too.

Catching up with that book, actually, Pawan is not bringing out his head out of it, says onlooker. From last three days, he’s keenly studying each photograph in awe and excitement.

One must call heroes, producers and directors on a regular basis, and stay in their good books. Somehow, I don’t like this system of asking for roles. I have many friends in film industry, but I never try to exploit my relationship with them, this is probably the reason why I don’t get many offers.

Suma understood this, and she took a class to me one day. She advised me that I should be more proactive like others. But, I am still uncomfortable with asking for roles’.

The thanks-meet of Sree Vishnu’s Mental Madhilo has witnessed a heap of praises on 28-year-old Vivek Athreya, the film’s director. All the guests at the do rained him compliments.

While a few raved that he has shades of veteran filmmakers ‘Bapu, Jandhyala’, others went onto the extent of raving that Vivek is ‘Bapu, Jandhyala, K. Viswanath and Mani Ratnam’ all clubbed into one. No doubt, this is a bit over-the-top compliment, but the young filmmaker did have talent as he has correctly got the aesthetics of film making.

Vivek humbly took all the compliments in stride and credited the success to entire team stating that it is a team work. With no background or no contacts in film industry, Vivek Athreya bagged his directorial debut with the encouragement of producer Raj Kandukuri and the film released widely, all thanks to distributor Suresh Babu.

Plenty of rumors have mushroomed that saucy heroine Samantha has invested nearly 3 crores in other day’s release. Now that the film bombed big time, what will happen to her investment?

For the sake of her manager Mahendra, it is heard that Samantha has helped him with 3 crores money to bail out the film ‘Balakrishnudu’ from financiers. Some stated that she gave a loan, while some said she took rights of the film as a deal, and few felt that she just gave that money out of respect.

Whatever it may be, but if Samantha had really loaned her money into this project, then the finance is at stake now. Trade pundits predicted that it will be a complete washout for the film from Monday. In that scenario, there is no question of Samantha being able to recover her money.

Anyway, Nara Rohit should have carefully chosen his project and manager Mahendra should also stop pouring huge funds for mediocre scripts.

Just like last Friday, this Friday also saw the release of good number of films, but there were only notable ones – Nara Rohith’s ‘Balakrishnudu’ and Pelli Choopulu producer’s ‘Mental Madhilo’. While the former’s attempt at masala genre backfired, the latter has scored brownies.

Rohith had pinned very hopes on ‘Balakrishnudu’, and he promoted it enthusiastically. The mass masala film however received negative talk and is reportedly heading towards becoming another failure in Nara hero’s career.

Mental Madhilo on the other hand has received mostly positive talk, and encouraging reviews. The film isn’t comparable to Pelli Choopulu but it still has enough to engage and entertain audience with sensible scenes and relatable characters. Considering the tight budget the film was made on, it can easily recover the investment.

So, in the box clash of two best friends – Nara Rohith and Sri Vishnu, the latter is likely to win comfortably.
